The other day, another one of his coffee straws cracked into pieces, and he lamented that he was reaching the point where he had far more coffee cups than straws. I told him that I’d seen steel straws on Amazon.
We ordered this set of eight Rainier stainless steel straws, which also came with two straw-cleaning brushes and a set of silicone silencers and tips for each straw.
This set of straws arrived earlier this week, and he’s already loving them! They’re really well-made, and the two silicone silencers fit on either side of the cup’s lid to keep the straw from rattling while driving or carrying the cup. The silicone tips fit over the drinking end so you don’t burn your lips on hot coffee or chill them on iced coffee.
He’s so delighted with these straws that I thought I’d share them with you! He already had two people from his office approach him with coffee-straw-envy, asking where they can find these. (Amazon, of course. Is there anything you can’t find on Amazon?)

When it comes to food… I’m a proponent of anything that’s not plastic. My kitchen is currently being re-equipped in glass, stainless steel, and cast iron… the “Tupperware” is gone!
Glass straws are also an option, and they’re clear which is nice. But they’re also more expensive. Dharma is a popular brand, and I see others on Amazon as well… :)
