This Saturday, Stamp Out Hunger celebrates its 20th year! Stamp Out Hunger is a collective initiative by the National Association of Letter Carriers to help food banks in your community. Simply leave a bag of non-perishable food next to your mailbox on Saturday, and your mail carrier will pick it up when your mail is delivered. The food will benefit a local food pantry or food bank in your area!
Stamp Out Hunger recommends donating items like canned meats, fish, soup, vegetables; bottled juice, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. They ask that you not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.
This is the easiest food drive you’ll ever participate in! This weekend, if you can afford to share a bag of groceries with those in need, please consider doing so.

We usually get a postcard in our mailbox a few days before, but not this year.
It’s such an easy way to help out others in need.
I live in a small town, but just imagine if every household could donate TWO small items!

We had grocery bags in our mailboxes. Pretty easy to do when the paper bag is delivered to you! It was fun to fill it up!
