It’s Sunday morning at the Cataldo house, which also means it’s breakfast time. As I’m working on today’s Deals writeup, the rest of the family’s been busy making a delicious-smelling brunch! My husband just brought an empty egg carton over and said “Have you ever seen a coupon like this?”
Now, I love Panko (and Kikkoman’s Panko French Toast recipe simply must be tasted to be believed) but can you imagine trying to redeem a coupon at the store with a large bump in the middle?! It’s a 3D coupon!
I’m not sure whether I should cut out the bumpy part (and leave a big hole in the coupon?) or to try to redeem this with the bumpy part of the carton intact. Or try to push the bumpy part down “flat?”
Imagine trying to stick this through the coupon slot at the self-checker :)

I had one of those coupons and I just shook my head and recycled the carton! :-)

I cut out the “3D” part and Jewel had no problem with them. I had 2 and used them with the doubler coupon. Came out to .69c a box.

I thought the same thing about how to hand it over – cut the bumpy part out? Leave it?
I decided to leave it and see.
This egg carton was part of a jewel deal I did a while ago with some Juice and then free eggs with a tear pad in the dairy aisle and bonus the egg carton as another 75 cents off for Panko.
Will be interesting when handing it over with my order.

I got a couple of these coupons with all the eggs we bought at Easter. I cut off the bumpy part and had no problem using it. I too worried how the cashier was going to get it in the drawer. :)
