Dollar stores are such a major market that manufacturers are catering to their price needs by providing products in smaller sizes than what you may see at your local supermarket. A 16-ounce dish soap bottle at the local store may have only 14 ounces at the dollar store (even though both are the same brand.) Sure, the package is cheaper at the dollar store, but in the long run it may be even more per ounce.
