This week’s syndicated Super-Couponing Tips column is entitled “I’ve got a coupon – where’s the product?.” Here’s an excerpt:
” recently had a coupon for a new dairy product that looked good. I cut it out and took it to the store but I could never find this product at the store. The coupon expired at the end of the month. What’s the point of having the coupon? Now I won’t buy that product even if I do get another coupon for it!”

I have looked at the Birds Eye “Recipe Ready” coupons (there have been two in the past three months) and I cannot find this product anywhere.

Sometimes if you write to the manufacturer and politely explain how frustrating it was to receive the coupon but not find the product, they will send a replacement or something equivalent. I did this last year when there was a coupon for La Victoria tortillas in the inserts but that product isn’t sold here. The manufacturer confirmed for me that they aren’t sold in the Chicago area but mailed me a coupon good for $2.50 off ANY of their other lines of products that are sold here which included Chi-Chi’s and Herdez. The coupon scored me a free jar of salsa at Jewel.
