“We paid our 40-year mortgage off in less than 20 years, and a big part of that was saving with coupons. I am the person who picks up every penny I see on the ground. It only takes 100 pennies to make a dollar! Silly as it seems, all my ‘found money’ goes in a savings account. I have done this for years and years. While people around us complain about money, they would never guess our house is completely paid for. I am frugal but not ‘cheap.’ I simply don’t waste money on things that are unnecessary.”
