Do you like to take surveys for cash, prizes, points or other compensation? Here’s a roundup of compensated survey opportunities on the web. I have not personally tried all of these, though I have tried some. While I don’t believe you’ll get rich completing surveys, some of them provide an opportunity to make a little “fun money” or try out new products and review them.
If you plan to participate, I would recommend using an alternate email address (a free one like Yahoo or Gmail is fine) to keep your survey email separate from your personal email.
Pinecone Research is one of the most well-known survey and review companies on the web. They conduct on-line interviews with consumers from all walks of life to obtain their opinions about new products. Pinecone is very selective and looks for specific demographics of people, so don’t be upset if you fill out their qualifying survey and are not accepted. They only open enrollment to the general public at certain times, and you can always try again in the future.
Fill out a short Pinecone questionnaire to see if you qualify. If you do, each survey pays $3.00 via check or Paypal. Pinecone often sends products to try for paid review too, which I find fun. I’ve tried & reviewed everything from skincare products to new beverages — long before they actually hit the market.
Opinion Outpost conducts surveys and offers cash rewards, Amazon gift cards, game points, and donations to charities. The minimum cash out for Paypal is $10 and $5 for Amazon gift cards.
Springboard America is an online research community. Earn Survey Dollars and help shape future product campaigns.
MySurvey invites consumers to influence future products and services by volunteering to participate in consumer research. Share your opinions and redeem your rewards points for cash and merchandise.
Can’t get enough surveys? Here are even more for-compensation survey sites to join:
Inbox Pays gives cash for taking surveys and playing online games.
E-Poll offers gift cards for completed surveys. (The punctuation warrior in me doesn’t like the unnecessary apostrophe in their banner ad, but I digress…)

Hi- I do online surveys, and I highly recommend you check out Survey Police Forum.
https://forum.surveypolice.com/ People there rate most of the survey companies out there, and the forum is wonderful for finding out if a panel is worth joining. Out of all the panel’s that Jill has mentioned here, I belong to Pinecone and myaurvey. It took me forever to finally get into pinecone. Opinion outpost is supposed to be good too. I had never heard of inboxpays before, and I looked it up. It sounds like it is one of those sites where you get money for clicking emails, similar to inbox dollars. If you want to do surveys, I also highly recommend that you get a separate email account just for surveys. I did not do this, and now I get lots more spam than I used to. Like Jill says, you don’t get rich doing surveys, and especially when you are doing them ethically. There are too many people who are not truthful when doing surveys, and inform the survey companies that they are Hispanic and have three children, when none of that applies. If you are 49 or younger, and you still have children living at home, you get a lot more surveys than people in their 60’s who don’t have any children at home. A few of the survey companies pay you in cash, but the great majority of the companies pay you with store gift cards, with Amazon being the most common one. Hope this helps, Nancy
