Valentine’s Day is just four days away! If you’re scrambling for gift ideas, here are three fun, budget-friendly and not-terribly-traditional gifts for the loved one in your life…
Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips
It’s pretty safe to assume that you’ll be kissing someone on Valentine’s Day! Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips is a deep moisturizing product with a soft rose tint. It features a blend of rose, vanilla, and red berry scent. Especially with the winter weather we’ve been having, this is the perfect way to perfect your pout and moisturize your lips in time for Valentine’s Day!
I think these tiny jars are cute too — they’re miniature versions of the “big Vaseline” jar we all know and love.
Is your sweetie truly wild about Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips? You may be surprised to learn that Vaseline also offers this product in a limited-edition jar adorned with fine European crystals and a heart on the lid. A few years ago, Tyra Banks publicly confessed her love for Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips on television. Vaseline responded by sending her a bejeweled jar, and photos of that sparkly little jar went viral on social media. Now, during holiday promotions, Vaseline® offers the bejeweled jars at Los Angeles’ Kitson (where I’m told that they sell like crazy.)
Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips is available for $2.29 at food, drug, and mass retailers nationwide.
Bejeweled Vaseline® Lip Therapy® Rosy Lips is available for $45 at Kitson and Kitson.com.

Star Wars Han and Leia Bathroom Towels
I have to confess (and hopefully my husband isn’t reading this post!) that this is what I bought my husband for Valentine’s Day 2015! He is a Star Wars fanatic, and we’ve never been much of a traditional Valentines-Day, chocolates-and-roses kind of household. As soon as I saw these towels at ThinkGeek, I bought them for him. They arrived yesterday, and all of our kids agreed that they’re amazing.
This set of white hand towels features the words “I Love You” and “I Know” with large silhouettes of Leia and Han embroidered in silver. The back of each towel features Rebel Alliance insignia from side to side and a Star Wars logo in the corner. Not only are they ridiculously cool, they’re also going to look great in our bathroom. (If this doesn’t seem a highbrow-enough decorating choice, remember that our master bath is already sporting a KISS Destroyer shower curtain. Enough said.)
Price: $19.99.

Retro Candy Crates
While I’m not terribly into fancy chocolates, I do love candy, especially retro candies. Some of the best gifts I’ve received from my family have included 1950s flying saucer wafers (on my birthday – thank you, Mom!), wax bottles filled with liquid deliciousness, bags of colorful licorice Snaps and the endless stream of Boston Baked Beans boxes my kids and husband slip into my suitcase when I travel.
Candy Crate offers assortments of classic candy, as well as decade-themed boxes. Grab your favorite candies of the 1950s, 60s, 70s — they even have an old-fashioned assortment featuring treats from the 1800s!
Prices: $20.58-$34.95, depending on assortment
Candy Crates ship from Amazon. Browse all of their retro candy assortments online!
