You should carry a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy for this deal.
And even then, some cashiers & front end managers just don’t understand their own coupon policy!
Good luck every one!

so if you print two of each type of coupon, and pair the $1.50 ones as described, you’ll get 6 bags of chips for 31 cents (-$0.01 + $0.16 + $0.16). very nice.
but if you instead pair each B1G1F coupon with a $1.50 coupon (scan the B1G1F first, i think), and have two transactions of 2 bags each, along with other miscellaneous purchases to offset savings.. am i right to say that you can get each pair of bags for -$1.34 ? my big post in the Jewel weekly topic shows my steps and math. i’m just not sure whether it’s permissible, or if i’m overlooking something.
but if i’m right, the methods are a trade-off between 2 additional nigh-free chips or free money.

Jewel indeed does let you use a coupon on both items in a B1G1F, but I’ve never attempted (at least, I can’t recall attempting) to use a B1G1F on a B1G1F sale and then also use a $1.50 coupon on the one I’m buying for overage.
Reason being: When you use a B1G1F coupon on a B1G1F sale, the coupon is “buying” the first item, and the sale is making the second free. In this case, the coupon’s $2.83 value will “buy” most of the cost of the first bag. The second’s free because of the sale.
What you’re proposing, in theory, could work… but I’ll be prefectly happy with my free and .08 chips :)
