Well, that didn’t last long!
Wal-Mart revised their coupon policy again this week. It now excludes general “$ off your next order” Catalinas (as well as Walgreens Register Rewards):
We DO NOT accept the following coupons:
Checkout Coupons
– Dollars/cents off the entire basket purchase
– Percentage of the entire basket purchase
They DO still accept Checkout Coupons (“Catalinas”) printed at competitors’ registers for dollars/cents off a specific item.

I went into the Crystal Lake Super Walmart yesterday and was told that I could not use a MANUFACTURER’S CATALINA COUPON from TARGET! It was $1 off Ice Mountain Water Bottles and they told me that the policy changed that morning. I repeatedly told 2 managers and 1 cashier that I understand that Catalinas, like Walgreens RR coupons or anything off of the total purchase wouldn’t be accepted, but I also told them that this was a Manufacturer’s Coupon with a target logo on it and that it had a valid expiration date and redemption address. Am I right or wrong? I guess I really need to keep the coupon policy with me to educate the Walmart staff, since nobody in management knows how to read things clearly and communicate with others.
