Walgreens Balance Rewards Deals

Notes on Balance Rewards

If you use Balance Rewards to pay for an item that generates more Balance Rewards to your Walgreens loyalty card, the second set of Balance Rewards will not accrue. Paying with points prevents more points from being loaded. Save your points and spend them on non-Balance Rewards items.

DEAL IDEA:

Shampoo works out to $2 per bottle after the $3-off-2 coupon, but annoyingly, they've made the Balance Rewards threshold $15, not the $14 that buying four bottles would hit. So, here's a deal idea:

Buy four haircare products ($14) and two deodorants (now $19.) Use two $3-off-2 coupons. Pay $13 and get 3000 Balance Rewards points ($3.) That's $10 for 6 items, or about $1.67 each.

$1.99 Clear shampoo or conditioner

12.7-12.9oz. Clear shampoo and conditioner products are $4.99. Buy one and get 1000 Balance Rewards points ($1.) Use the $2 coupon from the 5/17 RP2. Pay $2,99 and get $1 back, making this $1.99.

$2.50-$2.99 Playtex tampons

38ct. Playtex sport tampons and combo packs are $6.99. Buy two and get 2000 Balance Rewards points. Use two $3 coupons from the 5/17 SS. Pay $7.98 and get 2000 ponts back ($2), making these $5.98 for two, or $2.99 each.

$4.32 Hawaiian Tropic suncare

Hawaiian Tropic suncare products (ad shows 6oz. sprays and lotions) are on sale for $6.99. Buy $20 worth and get 5000 Balance Rewards points ($5.) So, buy three ($20.97.) Use three $1 coupons from the 5/17 RP2 or printables. Pay $17.97 and get 5000 points ($5.) That's $12.97 for three, or about $4.32 each.

Walgreens Register Rewards Deals

Notes on Register Rewards

You will only receive one Register Reward per offer per transaction. Example: A name-brand box of cereal generates a $1 Register Reward. Buying three identical boxes will not generate three $1 rewards.

You cannot use Register Rewards to pay for items made by the same manufacturer. This will prevent the next set of Register Rewards from printing. Example: I have a $1 Register Reward that I received buying Colgate. If I use it to buy more Colgate, the register will not generate another reward, as the first Colgate reward prevents it from printing. Now, if I used a Crest Reward to buy Colgate, the Colgate Reward would print. I could then use that to buy Crest, and so on.

You can receive multiple Register Rewards in the same transaction, provided they are separate offers. I can buy a box of cereal that generates a Register Reward, a tube of toothpaste that generates a Register Reward, and a bottle of shampoo that generates a Register Reward -- all in the same transaction -- as long as they are different offers in the same ad.
