This is very interesting news, especially with the holiday shopping season under way! Walmart announced it will price-match with Amazon.com and other unspecified online retailers. From Reuters:
Wal-Mart Stores Inc has informed managers of its roughly 5,000 stores across the United States that they can match prices with Amazon.com Inc and other online retailers, the head of the company’s U.S. business said on Thursday.

Best Buy Stores also price matche a BUNCH of online retailers as well like Amazon, NewEgg, TigerDirect, etc.
I’m glag to hear Walmart is now doing this as well!
People like to showroom & then buy online.
This will bring in more business, but you still pay TAX vs. Amazon!

They need to come up with a real corporate policy regarding Amazon matching. On Instagram I have seen a lot Couponers price matching 3rd party sellers who show a 1¢ price for shampoo with $5.99 shipping. Then use a ton of coupons to get the items free with cash back. So far it’s not just shampoo, but all toiletries and baby wipes, etc. The abuse is getting out of hand quickly.
