Jewel has a new coupon book available in stores called “It’s a Spring Thing!” Reader Hobbitgirl wrote to say that there’s a contest advertised in the book. Visit www.jewelosco.com/springthing to play an online game to win FREE Jewel-Osco gift cards. (You will need your Jewel Preferred Card number to enter, but you do not need a promotional code, which is noted as optional on the first screen.)

This is a contest that you will want to take a few minutes to enter! In the last ten minutes prior to my writing this post, 10 of my readers have written to say that they’ve won Jewel gift cards ranging in value from $25-$500! Of course I played too, and I won a $50 gift card! What have you got to lose? Go play!

  63. I won a $25 gift card on 3/18. I have my print-out and confirmation number. I did not receive a confirmation e-mail, like many of you. I e-mailed the address we were given to contact and they claim they can’t locate me in their system. They apologized “for the inconvenience.”

    Anyone else have this problem? I e-mailed them back and said this was extremely disappointing as I have the confirmation number, etc. and asked if there were any other options. I will see what they say. I don’t understand why I would receive a confirmation number if it didn’t register in their system.

  66. I’ve been playing everyday since Jill posted (15days) and haven’t won anything yet. No luck today at 12:39 pm central time.   80. I got the email confirmation and another follow up email, but haven’t seen anything in the mail yet. Did anyone receive a prize in the mail yet? I’m wondering also if it comes via USPS or UPS, and if we need to sign for it.

  81. Jewel called friday to tell us that my daughter’s $500 gift card would come registered mail in the next 2-3 weeks. Just to give us a head’s up to look for it. So I’d guess they’ll start showing up in the mail around then. HTH
