This program began 2/10/10, and runs through 5/4/10.

The terms state “Quantity Limits: There is a limit of one YourBucks Award for any particular Program Award per transaction. You can participate as often as you wish during any Broadcast period.” (While you would only get one $1 Jewel Eggs Catalina per trip, you could break purchases into into separate trips and continue to rack up Catalinas. And these are good, high-value offers!)

Want another reason to sign up? According to the terms of the promotion, everyone who registers will also receive a survey that, when completed, will generate a $3-off-$25 coupon.

Note too that the terms state these offers take up to 36 hours to activate, so sign up NOW before it’s time to go shopping next week.

  1. … anyone who’s holding onto those coupons for FREE Equaline Ibuprofen from the Jewel Preferred Card update book is not only going to get free ibuprofen, but you can also make it a $1 moneymaker with this deal.

    Sometimes the Equaline Ibuprofen goes B1G1F, but a moneymaker is always fine by me as well!

  11. this list is IDENTICAL to the list that came up when I registered. If these are the same offers across the board we could do some deal matchups on the offers(as opposed to those crazy avenu offers that vary from person to person)

    Does this mean you will only recieve one cat per transaction even if you have say 5 qualifying items or one cat per each qualifying item?

  14. I did not think it would work today after everyone’s posts about this, but when I signed up, my response said it would take 24 hrs to activate and they would be ready today. Well, they were. The cats look very similar to our usual ones and they expire in 2 weeks. Have fun shopping with this one!

    I’m new to couponing and am having trouble finding the coupons when I do a look up on your web page. I’m in Virginia, so my question is, would our inserts in VA differ that much from yours in Chicago?

  17. The cat prints immediately after item is scanned so if you are using self check, you can immediately use the cat on your purchase as well as your man. Qs! Tyson chicken nuggets were 50 cents!!!!!

  18. I bought some all detergent and jewel bread (16 oz wheat bread) in my order today… the $2 cat printed for the detergent, but the $1 cat for the bread did not print.. It sounds like other folks have had more than one YB cat print per order, so did I do something wrong?

  20. It appears that you can do these deals more then once, it just has to be done in separate transactions. Is this correct? Has anyone tried it?

  21. I tried doing the “Your Bucks” program today at two Jewel stores. At both locations I purchased exactly the same two items. One dozen large Jewel eggs and one 16 oz Jewel wheat bread. On both transactions, I only received one $1 “Your Bucks” catalina which seemed print after scanning my eggs. Still a good price but was expecting 2 $1.00 Your Bucks cat. I verified that I was indeed picking up the jewel brand eggs and compared it with the list of items which qualify for the catalina. I supposed I should call. Just thought I would let you know my experience.

I signed up via the website yesterday and got an email saying they got my registration for card #xxxxxxx, but as of this evening, it still is not working (I bought 4 items from the list, got no cats). When I signed up, it said that I could use the program on my next shopping trip, but obviously that is not the case. When I went back and read some more of the fine print, it indicated that I would get an email once the activation was complete, so I was wondering if others who have gotten cats got such an email?

  26. went this morning and picked up a gallon of milk, Jewel wheat bread and the Jewel Applesauce cups and it printed a $2.00 Your Bucks OYNO. I thought it would only be for a $1.00. Wonder if the milk triggered another dollar????

  27. Bread – Worked x 3 transactions .21MM
    Eggs – Worked final price .39 for dozen large eggs x 2 transactions
    All Free & Clear – Worked final price .99 after $2YB & $1Q from 2/7RP. **I bought the last 2 on the shelf – not sure if they had more in the back** x 2 transactions

    Bought Max Factor makeup on clearance at each Jewel for .99 clearance -$1.50 avenue ,.51MM x 3

    The first transaction which was only 1 bread and 2 Max factor make-up. Scanned the bread, then a $2YB popped out followed by a $1YB. Weird?!? It was not left from previous customer, because I always look to make sure the light is on so I would have noticed it. So first transaction should have been .16oop for tax, but because they scanned 1 too many of my $1 cats and it went under the tax and locked up the computer. 2 employees, neither knew how to unlock it so they told me not to worry about it.

    Another interesting point? I hadn’t received email confirm. So I emailed this morning inquiring if I was all set. Had time between daughters poms performances so I ran to do 1st test. Ended up working at 2 Jewels. Came home to an email from YB telling me they don’t see me in the system, please re-register. I’m going to leave well enough alone!!

  28. I got a $2 cat for the Beggin’ Strips, (on sale for 2.99, plus I had a B1G1, so a good deal), $1 for the eggs and $1 for the bread. Worked perfectly. I ran the first load out to my car and bought 2 more bread in separate transactions and got a $1 for both. I love Your(My)Bucks!

I bought the 50oz all CLear, 2 begging dog treats, coffee mate 16 oz, 1 jwl bread, 6 can of delmonte veg’s, 6 actII popcorns…..I got 2 $2 YB (it doesn’t say on the q what its for) and 1 $1 YB that’s it…..wheres my Delmonte and actII catalina’s? plus it is $1 on the bread, $2 on the treats, $2 on the soap and $1 on the cream, that $6 right? I only got $5, plus no cat’s on the veg’s or popcorn. The cashier asked me where the YB were coming from! she knew nothing about it! What should I do?

  32. I actually e-mailed their CS this morning and they said that it will hopefully be fixed tomorrow. they also asked me to scan in my receipt and mail it to them so they could mail me my cat!

    So… anyone else who tried this with the jewel bread and did NOT get their cat – contact CS, they will help fix it :o)

  33. I tried three times with the CSR helping me cancel items. We did the following three times:
    1) Scan a 79-cent wheat bread (no CAT)
    2) Void out the wheat
    3) Scan a 79-cent WHITE bread (CAT popped out)

    Maybe Catalina Marketing will update the system to work as it should…

  34. I chatted up the cashier at the self checkout today and it turns out neither he nor the MGR at the time knew anything about the YB promo… I felt like handing them my alert cat so they would know, but I didn’t have it with me!

  35. Went tonight and bought the wheat bread which did not print, but the eggs and tyson nuggets did. Also did ovaltine, but it printed out a manu. q for ovaltine next purchase and I was already using one from Feb All You, so couldn’t stack.

  36. Does anyone know if there are any similar programs like the Jewel cat promotion that are available at Kroger? I often get cats from Kroger, but I haven’t heard of this type of promotion before.

  37. I just started to read up on the couponing craze and figured hey why not give it a try. This is week 2 of collecting my coupons and then I searched ALL ads. While I was reading during the past week I saw this post and said why not give it a try! I went to Jewel today because I really needed my grocery shopping and not only did I save $90.54 in coupons, but I got $9.00 off your next shopping order and $1.00 off from Del Monte on my next shopping trip!! My husband’s jaw dropped to the floor when he saw how much we saved for what we all bought!!! Thanks for all the great info!!!

  38. I was afraid to try as it was questionable – I only bought chicken that had the word “breaded” in the name on the bag. I was just wondering if anyone may have tried the Anytizers and if they got a cat?

  39. I did great tonight. My husband and I have a new puppy (that we found running on the highway!) so now I’m suddenly in the market for dog items! I just got back from Jewel because I had scoped out the dog treats deal the other day (but didn’t have my coupons). I got 6 bags of Beggin’ Strips (2 per transaction) for 99 cents/2 and while I was there I found some little beef stick-things (look just like Slim-Jims!) that were on sale for 2/$3. WIth a coupon for $1.50/2 Purina snacks, I got 2 packs for $1.50 and got a $2 cat back. I had no issues with the YB printing back to back 4 times as some others have reported.

    Now, if only I could fix my darn printer and print off 2 of the $1 coupons from the Target site, I could get 4 more for free!

    P.S. How coincidental (and meant to be) is it that my husband showed up with a dog the same day that I bought 5 newspapers with coupons for a free bag of dog food?!

  41. Just bought a loaf of Jewel bread and a dozen of eggs. Got my two Catalinas back and then I went back and bought two more and used the Catalinas I just got! I have only been doing this for a few weeks and my family can’t believe how far I can stretch our money. This is so much fun!!!

  44. I am loving that my card got the $2.00 bonus. Don’t know how it got there, but it’s there. I have done about 30 transactions (I shared with my neighbors) and got the $2 bucks each time. Posted somewhere that they thought it went up to 100 transactions for the bonus, so about 70 more to go. I love free money!

  45. I only got one $1 catalina, when I should have gotten several totalling $11.50. I messaged the website’s CS, so hopefully I will get a response similar to everyone elses where they will ask me to scan my receipt, and they will mail my catalinas. I’m missing 10 dollars! I guess it’s a lesson learned to write down what I should be expecting at the register, and see if it matches what prints out!

  46. Had a few coupons & picked up $31.99 of groceries at Jewel for $10.99 after getting ALL the Cat’s I was trying for. Also got the Delmonte Cat for my tomatoes and the Kelloggs Cat for Cereal. Thanks for your class Jill…It changed my life :)

    I don’t have Comcast & registered online. Considering the 24 hour window does anyone know how and when we activate our deals online for next week?

I was out in OakBrook visiting the in-laws and we swung by a Jewel there to try out the YB deals, I didn’t get any cats:( I called Cat cust service (wow, so easy to deal with!) and learned that you have to visit your “top 3 stores” meaning the top 3 that you normally shop at. They were able to tell me exactly which ones those were.

    I know I read this in the terms but didn’t pay enough attention to it so I just wanted to make note of that on here.

    Like everyone has been saying, these cats pop right out before the trans is over, so you’ll know right away if that store is one of your top 3.

  48. I tried buying a few of the things on the YB list tonight and they didnt work for me. I shopped at my regular Jewel. I went up to customer service and was told this is only available if you are a COmcast Customer. I am not. Does anyone know if this is true?

  49. I know they are doing away with the “top three” requirement today, but I have tried YB at two store and it only works at one. The day after I registered, I went to the Spring Grove Jewel, and no YB. I tried Mchenry the next day and it worked! I igured it had something to do with registration time. So yesterday I went back to Spring Grove and again, no YB. I should have received $12.50 :(.

    Anyway, I emailed CS last night and haven’t heard back yet. I am sure these are my top two stores. Has anyone tried/ had trouble at the Spring Grove jewel???

  51. I did the bread, eggs and stouffers mac n cheese today with no problems. I did 2 transactions in a row and rolled them. I only occasionally shop at a different Jewel.

  52. It says ob the wesite the first offers are thru 2/16 but I don’t see any different (new) offers listed on the site or ob comcast. Are the old offers still current?

  53. Bought several things from the list the other day (and yes, I received the confirmation email and then waited 5 days before I shopped!!). Got no catalinas…
    I emailed customer service but so far no response. Have other people gotten responses from them? Will they “fix it” for you? How long did it take them to respond? Thanks!

  54. On sale $4.99 (reg. $7.99) per bag then YB generates $3 for 1 bag. $1.99 per bag!!! Not the best for you, but okay in a hurry. I will try this several times.

  55. I was just at the Jewel on the corner of Ogden and Washington in Naperville. I bought eggs with my card and got no catalina. I talked to CS and was told that they’d not gotten any info on this promotion. However, a customer said there was a 36 hour turnaround time, which was a misunderstanding on CS. They said it had to do with Comcast so call them. Could corporate have sent no info on this? Do I call Comcast. This is not a friendly Jewel anyhow, and they don’t like couponers.

  69. My Jewel employees actually told me that the wheat bread was working but not the 100% whole wheat. Still worked on the eggs and chicken, and I still didn’t mind paying $1.50 per loaf for 100% whole wheat.
    I see a lot of breakfast casserole and spaghetti pie in my future to use up these eggs.

  70. I went to Jewel this morning (Romeoville) at 705 am and purchased colgate, suave and ragu. I only received $1.00 cat coupon. The cashier- SUPER NICE – did my next transaction and we realized that the coupon was being given out for the colgate and not the suave or ragu.

    I called Catalina support (888-826-8766) at 725 am and spoke to women in regards to the missing coupons. She took a bunch of information and said that she would submit to have it investigated. I was given reference numbers. Said they will get a back to me.

    Hope it all gets worked out, I want my free suave!!

    I would think this means PRE-Q cost.
    However on Tuesday I spent $50 AFTER coupons and the $5YB did not print.
    It has printed for me before so I know it’s not an issue of whether I registered on the site early enough.

    Planning my shopping trip for this week, I’d really like to know if that was just a fluke, or if I should count on that cat printing (trying to decide if I should use $4 worth of cats or if it will decrease my total and cause me NOT to get the $5…)

Came out to about $105 , and I paid $66.55!!! that and targets 50% bulk products made my week!

  84. This was the best! I did two rounds at Jewel today through self-check. The store was a madhouse! So the young man working the self check desk came to put through my coupons…and he said “Shoot, so many of ya’ll been in here today paying with these things and getting all this free stuff, I went home on my break and registered my own Preferred Card. Shoot, I ain’t no dummy, I know a good thing when I see it”. God bless him! It was such a great moment! 1. He was pretty young, so it was great to see him getting signed up and saving money! I know a lot of very young adults who still think everything in the pantry magically appears! 2. Anytime a cashier cheers you on or asks you for tips is a good moment. Unlike at SOME other stores in the area (ahhhemmmm! lol)

  85. At the self check out, the cashier was telling me that people were already abusing the coupons from Your Bucks. A gentleman went to five stores and scanned the Your Buck items and the coupons printed. He stated he forgot his wallet and he needed to go to the car and grab his wallet. He left all his items, but took the coupons. Things are so cheap with all these catalinas. I don’t understand why one feels the need to steal. I feel like I am “stealing” a great deal everyday. I wonder if the coupons will change to print at the end.

  87. I just came back from using some of the Yourbucks I got yesterday and since I paid for my transaction with them the manager had to come approve. She pulled me aside and said that she just wanted to let me know that she knows I coupon and that with the next round of offers they will be limiting the quantities since there are already people abusing it and either taking the yourbucks without buying the items or getting too many. She mentioned it might be 12 – I hope so because that is still plenty to get good deals without abusing it.

  88. They actually DO trigger the $3 huggies YB! Not sure if this one will change or not, like the tyson YB, but for now at least :o) I was jazzed because I had a good $3/1 Q AND got the $3YB.. so 3.99 pack of pull-ups!

    I took one for the team today to try it and it worked! Just think how cool this would be if it were a pampers YB instead.. OH my this week would be so insane! hehe

  90. Can someone confirm for me the following scenario: Let’s say I want to purchase 2 Jewel breads and 2 Suave items in one transaction. Would I receive two $1 Cats for the bread and two $2 Cats for the Suave? Hope this makes sense. Up to now, I’ve only been purchasing the required amount of the YB item to get 1 CAT in one transaction.

    I know there are some items that require you to purchase more than one item to get only 1 CAT.

I have done this transaction twice – 500ct Q tips produce $3 Catalina but as per thr website it will produce 2….did anyone else noticed this and do we know anything else is working other than as advertised??   95. I went back to Jewel last night because the cashier had under-rang my Beef-a-Roni, 9 instead of 10, so I was $1.00 short to receive my $10.00 on $25.00 CAT. The woman at the desk said I am not refunding and reringing all that to get a coupon, so she scanned the one can and my preferred card, I paid $1.02 and she printed a $10.00 CAT. I don’t know how she did it, but they are able to do it somehow.

    I just signed up for the YB. I read through the posts, but didn’t notice anyone ask the following question:
    Can you use YBs to pay for items that will print out a YB?

    For example, let’s say in my first transaction I bought a dozen eggs and received a $1 YB. In my second transaction, if I buy a dozen eggs and use my $1 YB from the first transaction to pay for them, would a $1 YB still print out?

  102. Some changes in your bucks…haven’t been to the store as of yet, but got an email stating that Ragu is now only $1 back and same for suave products. There was another item listed, I just do not remember. So be careful and always check your email before you go!!

  103. I went to the Antioch Jewel before work this morning. I did two transactions, not knowing the terms had changed.
    Each transaction had 1 Suave and 1 Ragu. For both transactions I got two $1YB’s.
    According to the ‘Change of Terms” it states you will have to buy 2 Suave products and you will now only get $1. I bought 1 suave, and still got a dollar (Not $2YB like I was expecting, but it was still free!).

    However on the Catalina website (where it lists products with pictures) it says you will get a $2YB for buying 2 Suave, even thought the disclaimer says $1YB. I guess I’ll have to buy 2 and see what happens? Now I can use my buy 2 suave coupon.

  107. I’m sorry if this has been posted. I can’t read 280 posts (so far!) I haven’t seen this mentioned, but it sure seems like a good deal to me. In the 2009 Jewel Preferred Card update book, there is a coupon for a FREE Culinary Circle Pizza. There is a $1.00 cat from the YB promo. Do these pizzas every go BOGOF, which would be better, but they expire 04/10/10, so I don’t want to wait too long.
