Summer fun shopping with Meijer Mperks

Meijer’s got some good sales that line up with the current batch of Mperks ecoupons, and I headed out today to pick up some items for summer fun. I got some deals on foods for grilling and cooking outdoors, as well as picnic-friendly lunch products too.

Not all of the things I picked up were in this week’s Meijer ad — before I went out, I loaded a bunch of Mperks that looked interesting or high-value, then paired them with deals in the store.

This high-value Mperk pairs nicely with the Ball Park Beef Franks that are on sale for $2 through today, 7/16, dropping them to $1!

Mperks also has an ecoupon for $1 off $4 Jack’s pizzas. They’re on sale this week for $2.50, and this ecoupon drops them to $2.25 each.

(Try them on the grill – they’re awesome! There’s something about the thin crust being extra-crispy when cooked over coals… love it!)

A&W 2-liters are on sale this week as part of the 10-for-$10 sale, and this Mperks ecoupon will net you two for that price — just .50 per bottle.

It’s always nice to have a few 2-liters on hand for entertaining, especially in the summer. And, speaking of beverages…

Here’s an Mperks offer for $1 off the new Capri Sun Organic juice pouches. The kids and I have been enjoying many picnic lunches this summer, so I wanted to see how much these were:

While they’re not on sale this week, they were worth $3.29 to me — they’re organic, they have no added sugar, and they make great slushie “ice blocks” in our lunch cooler too! And, another cool lunchtime treat is a great deal with Mperks right now too:

Mperks has a great ecoupon for $2 off every two Mott’s juices or applesauces you buy in the same transaction. This is a one-time Mperk, but you can buy as many as you want in the same trip and receive $2 off for every two. I was especially excited about this deal when I got to the canned fruit aisle and saw this:

The 6-packs of Mott’s applesauce are $2 through 7/17/16, and the $2-off-2 Mperks offer makes them just $1 each! And, check this out:

Every three packs of Mott’s you buy nets you a FREE child’s movie ticket from Fandango to see The Secret Life of Pets! $3 is a super price for a movie ticket, so I bought six packages of Mott’s. I can take my sons to the movie for just $6, and we now have 36 (!) applesauce cups to enjoy at lunchtime too. (I blogged about the Mott’s/Fandango deal in a separate post too if you want more info about it.)

Another essential for picnic lunches and cookouts? Easy cleanup! While I no longer have babies at home, I still like deals on baby wipes — they’re great to have on hand in the car for quick cleanups. I keep a pack in our picnic tote for washing hands, and they’re great for cleaning up after cooking outdoors too. Mperks has a $1 coupon for 3-packs of wipes, so I went to see how much they are this week:

On sale for $4.19! With Mperks, this drops to $3.19, or about $1.06 per soft pack – that’s a deal.

Lastly, while I already did a 10-for-$10 run and used up my $1 gummy coupons on $1 Black Forest when the sale began, look what I found on Mperks this afternoon: A $1-off-2 ecoupon for more Black Forest organic gummies!

I don’t know what it is about the gummy cherries, but these little bags did not last long in my house. Two more at .50 per bag? Deal!

So, here’s my summer-fun haul! I bought 17 items and used $12 in Mperks ecoupons. My pre-coupon total was $36.48, and after Mperks, I paid $24.48 plus tax. A fun little trip, considering we also get two free movie tickets too!

Disappointing that my Mperks didn’t have the Ball Park Franks or Jacks Pizza coupons. Love your deal posts! Helps us all save $, which is so appreciated!

I’m not sure if the Jack’s expired yesterday or if they hit a load limit — the Ball Park doesn’t expire til early August. Did you search for it in Mperks by name?
