A note on overage and B1G1F sales

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale.

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon may appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

Regarding Savings Star and Sargento. The “thins” did scan as acceptable for this offer. I purchased 8 and the discounts applied correctly.

I just realized that entering MyMixx number when checking out doesn’t connect direct to Savings Star? I guess you have to scan each bar code and the receipt and go from there. Hopefully this will work out better than when I tried to do several Meijers receipts which they keep turning away as not legible and they are.

Okay I looked at other part about linking card. Well the MyMixx number is in there so I will have to wait and see if it links this cheese purchase. I guess I can always email them stuff if it doesn’t work out. Its just the wording was weird when I looked up stores I had listed and the MyMixx number said something to effect it doesn’t recognize loyalty card. Time will tell

The johnsonville $1 coupon was for the johnsonville natural sausage (in the meat section), not for the links (near the hot dogs), and the sausage at my jewel was tagged 3.99. However!….. there were .75 blinkies at my jewel for the split ropes and there’s a catalina printing for 2.50 when you buy 2, so put it all together. …. buy 2, use (2) .75 coupons, pay 4.50, get a 2.50 cat = $1 each!!!

Woodstock Jewel didn’t have any 12 pack 12oz packs of the ice mountain water marked 3/$5. Only the small 8Oz packs. Service desk said the 12oz size is 3/$10. Any other Jewel around have them for the 3/$5 sale?

  The 3-for-$5 price is in the September Big Book of Savings for the entire month – it is not store-specific. They must not have had the sale tags up. I got my water in Huntley, if that helps.
