Hello, Super-Couponers! Another great week of savings and coupon deals are headed your way! I’ve been hearing from readers from all over the country since last week’s Chicago Tribune profile of me was picked up by more than 25 other newspapers around the USA and Canada! So, if you’re new to my blog, welcome. While my weekly deals writeup does focus on some Chicagoland supermarkets, I also cover deals at national stores like Target, Walgreens and CVS. And, if you shop at a Kroger, Safeway, or SuperValu-owned supermarket, you may find that our grocery deals for Hilander, Dominick’s and Jewel are comparable to what’s going on at your stores too.
For my Chicago audience, tune in Monday morning to Windy City Live, the new show that’s in Oprah’s old timeslot. I’ll be discussing coupons, sales cycles, and how to save big! The show airs from 9-10am on ABC 7, and I’m scheduled to appear around 9:40am.
Now, it’s time for Chicagoland’s Deals of the Week once again. I’ve got all the best supermarket and drugstore deals of the week written just for you… all in one place, on one page! As always, grab your scissors and coupon inserts, and get ready to start clipping this week, as bunches of bargains and freebies are heading your way! And, by popular request, I’ll also be blogging the best school supply deals until the kids go back to school…
This week’s newspaper contained two coupon inserts: SmartSource (SS) and RedPlum (RP.)
To our NEW blog readers: If you’re interested in learning to save on almost everything you buy at the grocery store, why not attend a live Super-Couponing workshop? Now… ready for your Deals of the Week? A note to my non-Midwest readers: While my weekly deals focus on Illinois stores, the Target, Walgreens and CVS deals apply nationally. And, if you’re shopping at a SuperValu, Safeway, or Kroger store, you may find similar sales to our Jewel, Dominick’s, and Hilander deals. Welcome, and enjoy!

Current home-delivery subscription deals on the Chicago Tribune: Code X277 or X542: .50/week Sunday Delivery or $1/week W, TH, F, Sun delivery. Call 800-311-8500 or visit www.chicagotribune.com.
“Deals of the Week” is written assuming you are using the inserts from the Chicago Tribune (or, if reading from outside Chicagoland, the largest newspaper serving your market area. That largest paper has the most, highest-value coupons. The content, coupons, and dollar amounts of the coupons in the RedPlum and SmartSource inserts differs by paper, so to coupon effectively, you do need to be getting the paper with the “best,” highest-value coupons.)

Each week I’ll blog the best deals on school supplies too. Note that as we get closer to school starting, we’re likely to see even cheaper deals on some of these — in past years, many stores have had 1-cent and 5-cent sales. And, keep in mind that the WORST thing to do is buy your entire child’s list at one store. Going in for 1-cent pencils and paying full price for everything else makes no sense. Keep the list with you and as you’re around town each week, buy only what is cheap. By the time school starts, you’ll have the list nearly completed… on the cheap! More tips here.
- Schoolio 2-pocket Folders – 1 cent at OfficeMax, limit 5. Must have additional $5 in-store purchase in same transaction. Additional folders are .25 each. Sale runs Sunday through Wednesday.

- 500-sheet ream of Boise Copy Paper – 1 cent at OfficeMax. It is a MaxPerks offer, so you pay $5.99 and get $5.98 back in in-store credit. Limit 2. Last week’s crazy deal on Minute Maid 12-packs (four 12 packs for $1 – yes, .25 each!) has ended, but some Coca-Cola 12-packs are still a decent deal this week. The new deal is that the 12-packs are 3-for-$11, or $3.67 each. The Jewel Summertime blue coupon book (available in stores) has a $2-off-2 coupon in it for non-cola Coke products (we’re talking Barq’s, Fanta, Sprite, Minute Maid, etc.)
When you buy 3 12-packs, you’ll get a free 8-pack of Mini Sleek Cokes instantly. But in the same Jewel coupon book, there’s ALSO a coupon for a FREE 8-pack of Mini Sleek Cokes when you buy 3 12-packs.
How do we work all of these together? With three books, buy 6 12-packs of non-cola Coke products ($22.) Use three $2-off-2 coupons from the book (now $16.) Grab FOUR 8-packs of Mini Sleek Cokes too, as two will be free with instant savings (you get one free for every 3 12-packs) and the other two will be free with two coupons from the Summertime book.
After coupons, you’ll pay $16 for six 12-packs and four 8-packs – that’s $1.60 per 8 or 12 pack. Or, look at it as $2.67 per 12-pack, with four FREE 8-packs. There you go! And… that works out to 6.5 cents per can!
Where are the pizza deals lately? I don’t know about you, but my freezer’s been low on good pizzas. These deals are good-not-great pricewise, but they’re “better” pizzas too… Jewel’s got California Pizza Kitchen (12-14oz.) and DiGiorno Original Pizzas (13-34oz.) on sale for $6 each. SavingStar has ecoupons for both. Load $1.50 off California Pizza Kitchen and $1 off DiGiorno at SavingStar. After ecoupon, the CPK’s $4.50 and the DiGiorno’s $5. (Go for that 34oz. DiGiorno too if you’re buying this to maximize your value here… and your pizza intake.)
If you’re headed to Dominick’s, both pizzas are $4.49 each there, but Dominick’s doesn’t participate in SavingStar, so you won’t be able to use the ecoupons. Or, if you plan to hit Target this week, the DiGiorno “Pizza & Wyngz” are $6… but I spotted $1.50 tearpads for them on the freezer case at Jewel. Grab a coupon at Jewel and pick a Pizza & Wyngz up at Target for $4.50 after coupon.
Jewel also has Palermo’s Rustico or Hand Tossed Pizzas (14.85-32.25oz.) on sale for $5 each. Use this $1 off 2 printable and pay $9 for two, or $4.50 each. Still cheaper than delivery, I guess!
Or, go for the Orv’s Tasty Toppings Pizzas (15.8-17.1oz) at $2.50 each, no coupon needed.
Jewel’s running another “Buy 4, Save $3” instant-savings deal on ice cream products. Buying any four of the following products generates $3 in instant savings! You must buy 4 to receive the prices shown. Here are your products and matchups: Edy’s Fruit Bars (6-12ct.) – $2.50 Edy’s Fruit Bars (Snack Size – 24ct.) – $3.25 Edy’s Ice Cream (1.5qt.) – $2.50 Haagen-Dasz Bars (3ct.) – $2.50 Haagen-Dasz Bars (Snack Size – 6ct. or Cones 5ct.) – $3.25 Haagen-Dasz Ice Cream (14oz.) – $2.50 Haagen-Dasz Ice Cream (28oz.) – $5.25 Nestle Bars or Sandwiches (6ct.) – $2.50 Nestle Dibs (9oz.) – $2.50 Nestle Dibs (Value Pack 140ct.) – $3.25 Nestle Drumsticks (4ct.) – $2.50 Nestle Drumsticks (8ct.) – $5.25 Nestle Lil’ Drums Cones (10ct.) – $3.25 Nestle Push-Ups (9ct.) – $2.50 Skinny Cow Bars or Cones (4-12ct.) – $3.25 Skinny Cow Sandwiches (6ct.) – $3.25 |
Honestly, not a lot of super-cheapness here, but if you like the Edy’s, Drumsticks and Skinny Cow, the prices aren’t terrible. Remember that the SavingStar ecoupon is a one-shot that will only come off one Skinny Cow item.
Jewel is running a “Spend $30, get $15 iTunes Gift Card” Catalina sale. Spend $30 on P&G products and receive a $15 iTunes gift card. (I would MUCH rather have a $15 Catalina, so this sale didn’t pique my interest… but if you would be buying the iTunes card anyway, you may find some deals here.) I’m keeping this with the current week’s deals, as some of the products have been updated since last week’s ad. Here are your products and matchups: Always Pads or Liners (20-120ct.) – $5.49 Bounce Fabric Softener – $4.99 Bounty 8ct. Paper Towels – $5.99 Cascade Dishwasher Detergent – $4.69 Charmin Ultra 12ct. Double or 6ct. Mega Bath Tissue – $5.99 Crest 3D White, Vivid White, or Pro Health toothpaste (4.8oz.) – $3 Dawn Dishwashing Foam or Liquid (10.1-24oz.) – $2.79 Downy Fabric Softener – $4.99 Duracell Alkaline Batteries – (8ct. AA or AAA) – $6.19 Gillette Venus Razors or Cartridges (1-4ct.) – $9.49 Head and Shoulders Shampoo or Conditioner (23.7oz.) – $5.99 Mr. Clean All-Purpose Cleaner, Spray, or Magic Eraser – $2.79 Oral B Pro or Cross Action Toothbrush – $3 Pampers or Easy-Ups Jumbo Pack – $9.99 Pampers Big Pack Diapers or Easy Ups – $19.99 Pantene Shampoo or Conditioner (12.6oz.) – $4.09 Pantene Shampoo or Conditioner (Larger bottles, 25.4oz.) – $5.99 Pringles Super Stack (5.71-6.43oz.) – $1.50 Tampax Tampons (20+ ct.) – $5.49 Tide Detergent or Stain Release – $10.99 |

16oz. packages of Jewel Margarine Quarters are .89.
8oz. containers of Chef’s Kitchen Rice Pudding are $1.50.
70ct. Equaline Cotton Balls (70ct.) and Equaline Nail Polish Remover (6oz.) are both $1.19 each.
12oz. Jewel Honey Bears are $2.49.
Jewel-Osco information:
Jewel-Osco has a Facebook page. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there.
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list? Jewel regularly sends out coupons to match with their current sales, and often they’re store coupons that can be stacked with manufacturer coupons!
Jewel meat deals:
- Perdue Oven Stuffer Roasters or Jewel chicken thighs or drumsticks are .99/lb.
- Whole fryer chickens are $1.29/lb.
- Hormel Always Tender pork chops or pork country-style ribs are $1.99/lb. The 5/8 SS has a $1 coupon that expires TODAY (7/11.) Or print a new one here.
Jewel produce deals:
- Red or white onions are .99/lb.
- Peaches, nectarines and plums are $1.99/lb. – look in the produce department for coupons for “Buy 2lbs. or more, get the 1stlb. free — with these, you’ll pay $1.99 for two pounds, which is about $1/lb.
- Northwest cherries are $1.99/lb. – good price
- Vine ripe tomatoes are $1.99/lb.
- 16oz. packages of Wild Harvest organic celery hearts are $1.99
- Wild Harvest fresh herbs (.25oz. bundles) are $1
(Anytime meat is under $2 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $2 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices — ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less.)
Let’s go to Dominick’s… View weekly ad | a href=”https://www.dominicks.com”>Load Dominick’s Just For U ecoupons
Note to Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. Also, in Chicago, support for previously-available ecoupons (Cellfire, ShortCuts and PGEsaver) have been discontinued. Ecoupons are now available in the “Just For U / Coupon Center” section of electronic coupons available at Dominicks.com.
Dominick’s Super Coupons:
These are store coupons found in the weekly Dominick’s flyer, which (in the case of the name-brand products) means they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even bigger savings. You can also load some of these Super Coupons to your Fresh Values card via Dominicks.com and not have to clip them. Best bets this week?
In the July 7-July 12 flyer – “$150 in new coupons this week!” on cover:

- Chicken of the Sea solid white tuna cans (5oz.) are .88 each, limit 10, with Super Coupon. This coupon does expire TODAY, 7/11.

- 18ct. Lucerne Eggs are $1.99 each, limit 2, with Super Coupon.
Dominick’s is running a 4-day sale on various items. Best bets here?
– Safeway Hickory Smoked Thick Sliced Bacon 3lb. packs are $8.97 each – that’s $2.99/lb. (Yes, we saw this a little cheaper last week at $6.99, but with the prices of bacon expected to rise over $4/lb. this summer, this is still a fair price. And, many people on this blog (myself included!) are fans of this bacon. It cooks up very nicely, restaurant-style, without a lot of grease.
– 2-liters of Pepsi and 7-Up products are .77 each.
– DiGiorno or California Pizza Kitchen pizzas (12.7-32.7oz.) are $4.49 each.
The weekly ad notes that all seafood is automatically an additional 20% off at the register with your Fresh Values card. This includes shrimp, fresh or previously frozen fish, mussels, clams and oysters, crab and lobster tails, packaged searfood and Waterfront Bistro seafood brand.

Dominick’s meat deals:
- There are no meats listed in the current Dominick’s ad for $2/lb. or less.

Meijer Mealbox has a $1-off-2 store printable to stack with this. With two manufacturer coupons and one Mealbox store coupon, you’ll pay $1 for TWO bottles, or .50 each!
Note that there are also coupons for FREE V8 Fusion + Tea when you buy two V8 Fusion in the 6/26 SS. These coupons, however, ring off all THREE bottles, so you can’t use them in conjunction with the above deal.
Several readers spotted a deal on rotisserie chickens at Meijer. Meijer reportedly sells Tyson rotisserie chickens, which are in the weekly ad for $4.99 this week. Use this $2 printable and pay $2.99! Not bad for a quick meal.

Are you a Meijer Mperks member? Mperks is a different set of electronic Meijer coupons. They’re attached to your cellphone number, but aside from one text message to activate your account, you do not need to use text messaging to continually use them. Once you register with Meijer Mperks, you log into the Mperks website and click the electronic coupons you’d like to load to your account. Then, when you’re at the checkout, type your cellphone number into the keypad at the register, and your coupons come off automatically.

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. most of Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they typically haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers.

Hilander/Kroger produce deals:
- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $2 each
- 6oz. containers of Driscoll’s raspberries are $1
- Yellow peaches or nectarines are $1.28/lb.
- Ripe tomatoes on the vine are $1.49/lb.
- Mangos are $1 each
- Whole pineapples are $2.48 each
Remember that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day! You are only allowed to double two of the SAME coupon per day though — additional coupons will ring at face value. (Split your trips if you’re stocking up!)
Readers outside Illinois will want to check with their local Kroger or Kroger-affiliated stores to determine how they handle coupon doubling.
Off to Target…

Here’s a decent deal on Luvs Diapers. 66-108ct. Big Packs of Luvs are on sale for $16 each. Buy two and get a free $5 Target gift card! There’s a $2 off Luvs Target store coupon in the 6/26 RP insert. (There are no longer any current manufacturer coupons in inserts or books, but if you have any from direct-mailers, use them here too, of course.)
Buy two boxes. With one $2 coupon, pay $30 and get a $5 gift card. $25 for two is $12.50 per box.
With two $2 coupons, pay $28 and get a $5 gift card. $23 for two is $11.50 per box – a pretty good price.
Need toilet paper? Charmin’s not a bad buy this week. 12-pack mega rolls or 24-pack double rolls (both equal 48 regular rolls) are on sale for $13 each. Use the $1 Target store coupon in 6/26 RP and stack it with the .25 manufacturer coupon from either 7/3 PG or 6/5 PG. There’s also a great coupon in the 6/5 RP for “Buy two Charmin (or Bounty, Pampers or Iams) and get a $5 Target gift card.”
So, buy two packages. With one $1 Target store coupon, two .25 manufacturer coupons, and the gift card coupon, pay $24.50 and get a $5 Target gift card back. That’s $19.50 for two.
With two $1 Target store coupons (and the rest of the same) pay $23.50 and get a $5 Target gift card back. That’s $18.50 for two, or $9.25 each.
What’s a good price for toilet paper? Typically, our rule of thumb is that .25 or less per roll is a good price. It’s tougher to estimate this when we’re talking double rolls or mega rolls, so figure good prices at .50 for a double roll, .75 for a mega. This deal puts you at .77 for the mega rolls, or about .39 per double roll.
DiGiorno Pizza & Wyngz are on sale for $6 each. If you read the Jewel deals above, note that you may find $1.50 tearpads for Pizza & Wyngz at Jewel. With this coupon, pay $4.50.
Target’s site has a printable coupon for $1 off Sharpie Markers. And guess what… 2ct. packages are on sale for $1! FREE Sharpies!
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
16-24oz. loaves of Market Pantry bread are $1 each.
10-packs of Room Essentials white plastic hangers are $1.
Target Notes:
Target has launched mobile Target coupons which you can load to your phone. They are Target store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with. Load coupons here. You can also print these offers by going to www.target.com/save and entering your phone number.
Remember too that you get .05 off your total at Target for each reusable bag you bring and use. If you pay with the Target credit card, you receive another 5% off.

Kicking things off at Wags, here are some freebies…
W Women’s 6-Blade Razor System is on sale for $3.99. Buy it and get $3.99 back in Register Rewards, making it FREE!
Selected G-U-M Dental Care items are FREE after Register Rewards too. Buy either a 2-pack of Micro or Super Tip toothbrushes OR a 200yd. G-U-M floss for $2. You’ll get $2 back in RRs, making either FREE!
Got a teething baby? Hyland’s Homeopathic Teething Gel (.5 oz.) is on sale for $5. Buy it and get $5 back in RRs, making it FREE too! Use this $1 printable and it’s a moneymaker.
Still in the baby department, Evenflo Simply Absorbent Disposable Nursing Pads (40ct.) are on sale for $4.99. Buy them and receive $4 in RRs, making these just .99!
Here’s a deal on Pampers that isn’t too bad. Jumbo boxes of Pampers Prints diapers are on sale for $21.99. Buy a box and get $5 back in Register Rewards. Use the $1.50 coupon from the 7/3 PG or the 6/5 PG. Pay $20.49 and get $5 back, knocking the box down to $15.49.
Where this deal really shines is if you have an AARP card (so yes, get that grandma, grandpa, Nana, or other person who both loves your baby AND has an AARP card to shop with you, as you’ll get the extra $5 RR for using the AARP card. With this deal, pay $20.49 and get $10 back, knocking the jumbo box to a cool $10.49!
Without the AARP card factor, the same deal is running at CVS for a little less – box is $19.99, also with $5 coming back in ECBs.
“Okay” Finish/Jet Dry deal. 20ct. Finish (Electrasol) dishwasher detergent and 8.45oz. Jet Dry Rinse Agent are both on sale for $3.49. Buy either and get $1 back in RRs. Use coupons to make this a little better… with this .75 off Jet Dry printable, pay $2.74 and get $1 back, ultimately paying $1.74 after the deal. For the Finish, a .50 printable will cost you $2.99 after coupon, and $1.99 after the deal.
There’s a .40 coupon for the Electrasol and a .55 coupon for the Jet Dry in the 6/12 SS. After coupon and RR, you’ll ultimately pay $2.09 for the Finish and $$1.94 for the Jet Dry.
Like Infusium hair care products? They’re involved in a Register Rewards deal. Buy an 8-ounce or 16-ounce bottles of Infusuim Hair Care at $5.99 (and really, why buy the 8-ounce when the 16 is available?) and get $4 back in Register Rewards. With a $1 printable, pay $4.99 and get $4 back, netting you $1 Infusium!
Little snack deal: Keebler crackers, Cheez-Its and Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats are $2.50 each. Buy two and get $2 back in Register Rewards, which makes these $3 for two, or $1.50 a box. The only coupon currently available is a $1-off-2 printable for Keebler crackers. With this, pay $4 and get $2 back in RRs, knocking these to $1 per box.
Bigger snack deal: Combos are on sale for $1 a bag when you buy 10. The 5/22 RP has $1-off-2 Combos. But, you do need to buy 10 to get the $1 price. If you’ve got 5 coupons, buy 10 bags for $5, or .50 each! The back page of the Wags ad has a bunch of other $1 items that you can mix and match into the deal too (the 1lb. canisters of Domino Sugar or the bricks of Deerfield Farms cream cheese would be good fillers if you need them to complete your Combos deal.)
Lastly, many people have been writing about a Cottonelle toilet paper deal at Walgreens. There are a lot of problems with the deal though, so read, read, read this if you were planning to do it. 12-roll packs of Cottonelle are on sale for $5. There’s a national Catalina running on these… buy two and get a $3.50 Catalina, or buy 3 and get a $4.50 Catalina.
However, the only UPC reportedly in the system that works for the deal is 0-36000-13396-7, and several readers have written to say that this particular UPC is no longer stocked at Walgreens. If your Walgreens has very old stock on the shelves, you can do the deal. Buy two for $10 and get $3.50 back, which drops it to $6.50 for two, or $3.25 per 12-pack. Or, buy three for $15 and get $4.50 back, which drops it to $10.50 for three, or $3.50 each.
But if that particular UPC/package isn’t on the shelf, this won’t work, I’d recommend not chasing this one unless you really stumble across it.

If you don’t want to buy 5 Kellogg’s cereals at a time to do the current Jewel deal this week, Kellogg’s cereals are a good buy at CVS too. Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, Pops, Apple Jacks, Froot Loops and Raisin Bran are all on sale for $2.50 each. Buy two and get a $1 back in Extra Care Bucks, which knocks these to $2 per box.
With a.70 coupon listed in this week’s Jewel Kellogg’s deal, you can drop this to $1.30 per box.
A similar Pampers deal to the one running at Wags is running at CVS too. Jumbo boxes of Pampers diapers are on sale for $19.99. Buy a box and get $5 back in Extra Care Bucks. Use the $1.50 coupon from the 7/3 PG or the 6/5 PG. Pay $18.49 and get $5 back, knocking the box down to $13.49.

CVS is again running a gas card promotion that will run for the next few weeks. Spend $30 on selected items in the ad and get a $10 gas card. You do NOT have to purchase all $30 in the same shopping trip, but you DO have to purchase $30 worth in this particular calendar week — it will not carry over to next week. Your CVS Extra Care Card will track the $30 for you.
CVS Tip: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the Coupon Center scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you!

Wrapping things up with Walmart…
Coupon books to look for at Walmart: “Bright Ideas, Delicious Cereals“ (Kellogg’s cereal and breakfast coupons)
Policies to know:
- Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store.
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
- Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.”
I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.
Will I blog Walmart in its entirety each week?
I will not be blogging entire writeups for Walmart each week. Every store location’s regular prices are different, and Walmart does not issue a weekly ad every week. I’ve listed Walmart at the end of each week’s Deals writeup, because if you see any deals above that you want, you’ll likely also be able to do them at Walmart.
However, if there IS an ad with noteworthy sales or I’m aware of great coupon matchups, you’ll find those here too.

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* All You magazine: If you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s an inexpensive magazine ($2.49 an issue) that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! Subscribing via the pink banner on the right drops the price to $1.67 per issue. Depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Jill, just a note I think the link for Meijer mealbox has changed – when I go through the website it is http://www.meijermealbox.com the link above (mealbox.meijer.com) got me an error. Just wanted to help anyway I could – even if it is just a link! Thanks for all you do and good luck tomorrow!

This week eos (chapstick ball? Or shaving cream) is on sale 2/$6 with 4RR, so really 2/$2 after the RR. I love these products (especially that little chapstick ball!) so this was a good deal for me! Even better, though, for the shaving cream because on select packages of the bic soleil razors I bought awhile back was a $1 peelie on the eos shave cream… I only had one, but if anyone got two that would make for free shaving cream after the RR! So check your soleil packages :)

Be careful with the pop deal; the coupon says ‘Only one coupon per purchase’ and last week I bought 8 and could only use one $2 off—not a good deal for me! I don’t want anyone else to get stuck :)

CVS has a $3 instant savings when you buy $10 pain reliever, it appears to be any brand. Do you know do you have to buy ONE prodcut priced $10 or a total of $10 worth of pain relivers (say 2 five dollar products.) I have a $4 off on two Advil coupone I have been holding on to. So stacking this could be a great deal.

Wondering how many other new couponers have done this. Accidentally look at the deal of the week from the previous year and then went shopping coupons in had and deals in my head only to be completely confused about what was going on. I know how dumb right. But I’m wondering if Jill would be able to put a large EXPIRED warning on past deals of the week. I don’t know just a thought. I could of cried because I was confused trying to check out and the amount is over over my figure and check out lady was not not friendly and manager was irritated and 2 lines only open people behind me mad now and my 4 year old crying because I wouldn’t let her buy press on nails. AAAHHHH. Jill I love that you help us so much with the deals you post it does make life extremely easier! Now if I could just shop in 2011 not 2010. Trying to keep my cool in 90 degree weather. :) Lots of Love!

Thanks Jill for changing our lives, not only the way we shop!

I am going to get a great deal on that Charmin on sale at Safeway because I have three coupon booklets I received from the Pampers boxes when they ran that promotion a while ago. Yesterday,we went to the DeKalb Target to purchase the Luvs diapers deal using 2 $2 Target coupons, and at the register the cashier told us that since we were getting a $5 gift card we could not use Target coupons also. She said they would talk Man. coupons when receiving the $5 G.C., but not Target ones. I asked when they changed that policy and she said it was recently. We spoke to the manager to confirm and she did not know exactly when they changed this policy, but she also told us that we could not use Target coupons when getting a G.C. on that item.
Has anyone else had this problem or know anything more about this???

Does this stack? If I buy $60 (wanted to do the shampoo and toothbrushes together), will I get 2 $15 iTunes gift cards? Also, how would I make sure the cashier enters the b1g1 free coupons as coupons and not grocery?

I just wanted to take a minute to give some praise where its do. Thank you Jill for all that you do. You have changed the way i shop forever. I used coupons in the past but never really understood there true potential. I have consistently saved 50-60% off my grocery/health/beauty products for the last several months. That jewel coke/minute maid deal was a hoot. Nobody believed that i got all that soda for a $1, including myself. My wife was even skeptical until i took her with me one day to wags and purchased four bottles of old spice body wash(retailing for around $5-bottle)for $0.40ea. She was amazed. Haven’t looked back since. Thank you again and keep up the good work. Its much Appreciated.
