Grocery Deals
Starting at Jewel… (View weekly ad)
First, it’s Kosher Coke time again! I’m often asked what, if anything, I’ll pay full price for. Each time this year, I do a huge stock-up on one thing that’s not only worth it, but has become something of an annual tradition for me — Kosher-for-Passover Coca-Cola! If you’re a fan of real-sugar Cokes, this deal’s for you… and it only comes around ONCE a year. Kosher Coke 2011 has its own page on the blog right here (opens in new window) that will tell you how and where to get your sugar-Coke fix.
And before we get to the Deals, if you haven’t heard, Jewel has a new coupon book available in stores called “It’s a Spring Thing!” Reader Hobbitgirl wrote to say that there’s a contest advertised in the book. Visit www.jewelosco.com/springthing to play an online game to win FREE Jewel-Osco gift cards. (You will need your Jewel Preferred Card number to enter, but you do not need a promotional code, which is noted as optional on the first screen.)
This is a contest that you will want to take a few minutes to enter! Since the contest began last week, dozens (!) of my blog readers have won Jewel gift cards ranging in value from $25-$1,000! Of course I played too, and I won a $50 gift card! What have you go to lose? Go play!
The cover of the new Jewel-Osco Spotlight magazine (on racks with the weekly flyers near the door) has a coupons for $1 off Wonderful Pistachios on the cover. The coupon expires 8/31/11. Pick up & hold for a future deal if you like these (like the one at Dominick’s this week..!)
Here’s a sweet deal on Kellogg’s Cereals. They are on sale for $2.50 a box (not a super price, but stay with me… it’s about to get better.) When you buy 4 boxes, you’ll get $4 instant-savings off produce.
Included cereals are:
Apple Jacks
Cocoa Krispies
Corn Flakes
Froot Loops
Frosted Flakes
Honey Smacks
Pops
Raisin Bran
Rice Krispies
Smorz
There are quite a few Kellogg’s coupons out for the deal…
– $1 off Frosted Flakes – printable
– $1 off 2 Kellogg’s Corn Flakes – printable
– $1 off 2 Kellogg’s All Bran, Crispix or Corn Flakes cereals – printable
– $1 off 2 Kellogg’s cereals (ANY) – 3/6 RP
– $1 off 3 selected Kellogg’s cereals – 2/13 RP, printable
Here’s where the deal gets even more fun. Many readers are reporting finding “peelie” coupons on the cereal boxes for produce discounts — $1.00 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 boxes, or 1 pound of bananas free for buying cereal. Others have reported seeing tearpads for $1.50 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 boxes. Any of these will make an already-good deal even better!
Here’s an example:
Buy 4 boxes of Kellogg’s cereals ($2.50 each – now $10.)
Buy $4 worth of fruit (now $14)
Use two $1-off-2 coupons (now $12)
Use two $1.50 off fruit when you buy 2 Kellogg’s tearpads (now $9)
Receive $4 in instant-savings for buying 4 boxes and produce
Now, you’ll pay just $5 for 4 Kellogg’s and $4 worth of produce! That’s like getting $4 worth of produce, plus FOUR boxes of cereal for $1! Cereal at .25 a box? Love it!
With two $1 off fruit when you buy 2 Kellogg’s peelies, you’ll ultimately pay $6 for 4 Kellogg’s and $4 worth of produce – like buying 4 boxes of cereal at. 50 per box, plus the fruit. Also a deal!
__________________________
Note that the 12ct. Pop-Tarts are also included in the sale – you can mix and match them with the cereal. However, they are priced at $2.99 per box. You’ll find a $1-off-2 Pop-Tart coupon in the 2/6 RP insert and a $1-off-3 coupon in the 3/6 RP.

The Skinny Cow sandwiches and bars have a regular price of $6.49, so buying two will put you over the $12 mark. With two $1 coupons, pay $6 and get a $4 Catalina — it works out to $2 for two, or just $1 per package! YUM!

You MUST buy in quantities of 10 to receive the prices shown. Prices listed are AFTER the “Save $5” price. Best deals here?
Ragu, if you need it — .99 is a fair price for this, but the free pasta sweetens the deal. For your free pasta, go with Ronzoni brands… and LOOK for peelies on the Ronzoni boxes for $1 off Classico pasta sauce. Classico is on sale for $1.69 this week at Dominick’s. That coupon will figure nicely into the Dominick’s deal if you find them.
Kraft Singles, which will be $1.44 after the coupon and the deal.
Nabisco Ritz or Crackerfuls, also $1.49 each after the coupon and the deal.
Oscar Mayer Carving Board meats, with the $2 Facebook coupon — .49 for lunchmeat is a steal.
Bulls Eye, again if you need it — even without a coupon, .99 is a fair price for the bottle.
Propel Fitness Water! It’s FREE, and it’s also a great “filler” item to get up to the requisite 10 products when putting a deal together.
14oz. bags of Armour Meatballs are on sale for $2.50. Use the .55 coupon from 1/30 SS and pay $1.95!
(I don’t know about you, but whenever pre-made meatballs are on sale for around $1.99/lb. and I’m too time-crunched to make meatballs by hand… they’re a buy. :)
Birds Eye Steamfresh frozen vegetables are $1. Buy 3 and use the $1-off-3 coupon from 3/6 RP. You’ll pay $2 for 3, or about .67 per bag!
Athenos Greek Yogurt 5.3oz. cups are on sale for $1. Buy two and use the .75-off-2 coupon from January All You and pay $1.25 for two, or about .63 each!
Totino’s Party Pizzas are on sale for $1. Buy 5 and use the $1-off-5 coupon from 2/13 GM. Pay $4 for 5 pizzas, or .80 each. Or, buy three and use the .50-off-3 coupon from 1.30 SS – pay $2.50 for 3, or about .83 each. Not super-cheap (I like these to be FREE!) but they’re also cheap lunches or snacks at around .80 each.
Totino’s Pizza Rolls are also on sale for $1. Buy two and use the .40-off-2 coupon from 1/30 SS. You’ll pay $1.60 for two, or .80 a box! (Through 3/27.)
Packets of Kool-Aid drink mix are on sale for .13 each. The 3/13 SS has a “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” coupon and a “Buy 10, get 5 Free” coupon. Whichever coupon you use, you’re knocking that Kool-Aid just under .09 per packet! (And if you’re not usually a Kool-Aid drinker, remember that they do make lemonade mix too!)
144ct. Arm & Hammer Essentials Fabric Softener Sheets are on sale for $2.99. Buy two and use the $1-off-2 coupon from 2/13 SS. You’ll pay $4.98 for two, or $2.49 each.
I’m sure some of you are wondering why I’m blogging a seemingly not-a-deal on dryer sheets, especially with all of the free Gain dryer sheets floating around..! I am one of those people who prefers plant-based fabric softener sheets, and Arm & Hammer and Method are the only two brands I typically see in “deals” for plant-based. They don’t go on sale terribly often, nor are there always current coupons for them. Most fabric softener is made from rendered beef tallow, so if you prefer plant-based… this is an option.
“No Coupon Needed” Deals
16oz. packages of Imperial Margarine are .99.
6ct. Jewel AND Thomas’ English Muffins are $2.
24oz. Homelife Toilet Bowl Cleaner is $1.89.
The weekly Jewel ad notes that winter knitwear (hats, gloves, etc.) are 75% off as well.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
The FREE pasta deal that just won’t quit! Ronzoni Garden Delight is on sale for $1 again, and if you think you already used your $1 coupons for this the last time it was on sale, check again… because there was a NEW $1 off Ronzoni Garden Delight coupon in the 1/23 SS! It’s FREE!
And, if you don’t have a lot of pasta in your stockpile, clip both of the other $1-off-2 Ronzoni coupons on the same page — Ronzoni Smart Taste and Ronzoni Healthy Harvest are also all on sale for $1 a box. You can stock up on even more with these coupons for .50/box.
A reader found more $1-off-2 printables too! Click “Promotions and Coupons” after printing the first coupon you see for even more $1-off-2s.
$1 sale price runs through 4/6/11. And, LOOK for peelies on the Ronzoni boxes for $1 off Classico pasta sauce. Classico is on sale for $1.69 this week at Dominick’s.
Jewel-Osco information:
Jewel-Osco has a Facebook page. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there (and they answer promptly!)
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list yet? Jewel has been making coupons available for many different products over the past few months, and they’re usually store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with too.

Jewel meat deals:
- Perdue Whole Fryer chickens are $1.59/lb.
- Reuben Corned Beef brisket point cut is $1.69/lb.
- Perdue cut-up fryers are $1.89/lb.
- Always a deal: Jewel-Osco has 1lb. chub packs of Carolina Ground Turkey in the freezer case for around $1.69, every day, at most locations.
Jewel produce deals:
- Yellow onions are .79/lb.
- 1lb. bags of Farm Stand carrot chips are $1.50
- Opal apples are $1.79/lb.
- Peaches, nectarines or plums are $1.99/lb.
- Jewel is running their “4 items for $10” produce deal again. As with anything, watch sizes and prices here on the items marked for the “Fav 4” – your best buys are going to be around the $1.99/lb. (or less) price point.
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices — ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less for fish or shrimp.)
Let’s go to Dominick’s (View weekly ad)…
Note to Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals. Ecoupons are now available in the “Just For U / Coupon Center” section of electronic coupons available at Dominicks.com.
Dominick’s Super Coupons:
These are store coupons found in the weekly Dominick’s flyer, which (in the case of the name-brand products) means they can be stacked with manufacturer coupons for even bigger savings. You can also now load these Super Coupons to your Fresh Values card via Dominicks.com and not have to clip them. Best bets this week?

New Just For U ecoupons on Dominicks.com worth checking out: FREE 5.3oz. Dannon Greek yogurt with a $10 minimum purchase. Now, I don’t know when they will FIX this, but many, many readers have reported being able to buy FOUR cups of this in the same transaction and having them all ring up free. (Again, this deal is “Limit 1,” so do at your own risk.) There are also .75-off-2 coupons in the Blinkie dispenser right in front of the product… and again, so atypical for Dominicks, but many readers are reporting getting overage with two coupons on their four Dannon Greek yogurts. If you’re a tiny risk taker, this could be a $1.50 moneymaker!
If you’re not, grab your one cup of free Dannon Greek yogurt. Still a win! :)
“Okay” Tide deal: 50oz. liquid Tide is on sale for $5.99. Use the $1 coupon in the 2011 P&G Everyday Savings book and pay $4.99… (I know there are some Tide lovers on the blog… we like to see it cheaper than this, as it was during the Tide-and-shorts deal at Target recently..!)
As an aside, P&G announced over the weekend that they will be raising the prices on all of their detergents 4.5% in June, so you may want to stock up if good/better detergent deals come along.
TRIPLE STARBUCKS DEAL:
This is a three-parter! First, the easy one with this week’s Super Coupon: Starbucks 4-packs of Frappuccino or Doubleshots are on sale for $3.99, limit 4, with Super Coupon. Use the $1 coupons from 2/6 SS (there are TWO coupons in the insert) and pay $2.99.
On the display for the 4-packs, I spotted a sign which read “Buy any 1 participating 4-pack of Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drink or Starbucks Doubleshot espresso & cream and receive $2 off your purchase of any 11-oz or larger bag of Starbucks coffee. Offer valid with card between 3/4/11-5/6/11. Limit 1 offer per transaction.”
So, of course, I headed to the coffee aisle to see what the coffee cost. The 11-12oz. bags of Starbucks are currently $9.49 each. After the instant-savings, they’ll be $7.49.
There are NO current insert or printable coupons for the bagged Starbucks. The only manufacturer coupons I’m aware of are in a book that some readers have found at Starbucks locations INSIDE Target stores..! IF you happen to have this book (or get one) there’s a $1.50 off bagged Starbucks inside.
If you do have this coupon, you’re looking at $5.99 for the bag after instant-savings and coupon.
The last part of the deal? Many of the bags I saw at Dominick’s have a “FREE Tall Brewed Coffee” at a Starbucks location coupon on them when the bag of coffee is empty.
So there you go. Whew!
If you haven’t yet signed up for the “Just For U“ electronic discounts that you can load to your Dominick’s Fresh Values card, you may want to. For registering your card, you’ll receive an ecoupon for a FREE 12-ct. Lucerne large eggs! You’ll also activate a set of electronic discounts that are tied to your card for the next 90 days. Each person’s discounts are different, and they’re based on past purchases made with your Fresh Values card at Dominick’s.
Coupon booklets currently found at Dominick’s
Note that this is a listing of what you MAY find. Coupon books tend to move very quickly once they become available! Look on displays throughout the store to find them. Some Dominick’s are now keeping these coupon books behind the Customer Service counter, so you may want to ask at your store.

- Fresh Perdue roasting chickens are $1.69/lb.
Want FREE marinade? Many Dominick’s will marinate your fresh meat free at the meat counter, so depending on what you’re buying, you may want to take advantage of that.
Dominick’s produce deals:

Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, St. Charles, and the Indianapolis area: (View weekly ad)…
Arm & Hammer Liquid Laundry Detergent is on sale for $2.99. Buy two and use the $1 off 2 coupon from 2/13 SS. You’ll pay $4.98 for 2, or $2.49 each.
Kraft Original Macaroni & Cheese is on sale for .69 a box. Buy 5 and get the 6th box FREE! (This deal is limit 1 free box per transaction.) That’s $3.45 for 6 boxes, or about .58 per box.
Meijer’s running a “Buy 3 Kellogg’s, get a Catalina for $3.50 off Milk” sale on Kellogg’s cereals. The cereal is $2.50 a box here, as it is at Jewel – but I believe Jewel’s got the edge on the deal this week with a larger instant-savings on the produce ($4) plus the available tearpads and peelies for the produce to work in too. If you prefer this deal, use the same coupons in the Jewel writeup above.
Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts (8ct. boxes) are on sale for $1.67 each. Use the $1-off-2 Pop-Tart coupon in the 2/6 RP insert, buy two and pay $2.34 for two, or $1.17 a box. There’s also a $1-off-3 coupon in the 3/6 RP for more cheap tarts.
Ronzoni Garden Delight pasta is on sale for $1 again. Use the $1 off Ronzoni Garden Delight coupon in the 1/23 SS and it’s FREE!
AND… LOOK for peelies on the Ronzoni boxes for $1 off Classico pasta sauce. Classico is on sale for $1.69 this week at Dominick’s. That coupon will figure nicely into the Dominick’s deal for super-cheap pasta sauce if you find them.
“No Coupon Needed” Deals:
64oz. bottles of Old Orchard 100% juices or Healthy Balance are on sale for $1.67 each.
50oz. (big!) jars of Meijer Applesauce are on sale for $1.67 each. This sale includes the natural variety too, which we really like.

Are you a Meijer Mperks member yet? Mperks is a different set of electronic Meijer coupons. They’re attached to your cellphone number, but aside from one text message to activate your account, you do not need to use text messaging to continually use them. Once you register with Meijer Mperks, you log into the Mperks website and click the electronic coupons you’d like to load to your account. Then, when you’re at the checkout, type your cellphone number into the keypad at the register, and your coupons come off automatically.
Meijer meat deals:
- Split chicken breasts are .99/lb.

- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $1 each – SUPER SUPER PRICE!
- Red, green or black seedless grapes, and red seeded grapes, are all $1.28/lb.
- Green or white asparagus is $1.99/lb.
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. most of Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the oter Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the stores are newer, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.

Make them even BIGGER moneymakers with coupons. Print this $2.50 coupon – if the pads are $9.99, pay $7.49 and get $9.99 back. There’s also a $1.50 coupon in the 1/2 SS and another $1 printable for more moneymaker Tenas.
Surely, we must be done with the FREE stuff at Wags this week, right? Not even close. Always Dri-Liners or Leakguard Plus Pads (22-30ct.) are on sale for $2.99. Buy a package and get $2 back in Register Rewards. Use the $1 off Always coupon from the 2011 P&G Everyday Savings coupon book (home mailer,) pay $1.99 and get $2 back… making these FREE too!

Isn’t it fun to be a coupon shopper? Better clear some space in your stockpile, because we still aren’t done with the FREE this week… because there’s a “hidden” Register Reward deal running on Reach Toothbrushes (actually part of a National Catalina running right now.) Buy 4 Reach toothbrushes and get $4 back in Register Rewards! Well, if you saw page 8 of this week’s Walgreens ad, you likely noticed the toothbrush coupon at the bottom for .99 Reach toothbrushes.
The coupon is limit 3 (technically, the 4th toothbrush should then ring at the non-sale price. Typically, it doesn’t. But even if it does, it’s not going to matter, because after coupons and RR, ALL of these toothbrushes will be FREE…)
Let’s add coupons. There’s a $1 off Reach Toothbrushes coupon in the 10/10/10 RP, a $1 printable, another $1 printable and a .50 off Reach toothbrushes in the 1/9 SS2.
Use four coupons, one for each toothbrush. With four $1 coupons, you’ll pay… NOTHING. You’ll get back $4 in RRs, making this a sweet moneymaker!
(Reach Dental Floss is also on sale for .99. If you’re not doing the toothbrush deal, use the $1 coupon in 10/10/10 RP for free floss.)
Crazy FREE Almay Makeup deal (yes, more FREE…) Almay makeup is on sale 30% off (across the board, all products.) Buy any ONE Almay and get $5 back in Register Rewards. (Oh yes.)
Add coupons to make this an even sweeter deal:

You can have a LOT of fun with this sale (in fact, readers are already having so much fun that they’ve dedicated an entire thread to the Almay deal in the Forum.)
For example, Almay Eye Shadows are $7.99. With the $2 Beauty coupon stacked with the $2 manufacturer coupon, pay $3.99 and get $5 back! FREE and a moneymaker!
Almay Eyeliners are $5.29. Even without a coupon, they’re nearly free after the RR. But with a $2 store and $2 manufacturer coupon, pay $1.29 and get $5 back! NICE moneymaker!
And the FREE does not stop… Neuragen PN Nerve Pain Relief is on sale for $19.99. Buy it and a form will print for a $19.99 mail-in rebate, making it FREE! If you plan to buy this, look near the pharmacy for a free Walgreens magazine called “Diabetes And You.” If you can find the “Winter” edition of this, what’s inside the magazine? A $10 coupon for Neuragen! So, you could pay $9.99 and get $19.99 back on the rebate.
Are we done with the FREE stuff yet? I think so. But we have lots of cheapies this week too, like…

Wrapping things up with Walmart…
Policies to know:
- Walmart will price match any competitor’s advertised price. Bring the other store’s flyers with you to the store.
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept other store’s STORE coupons with an actual price listed on them. For example, a Dominick’s store coupon advertising “.99 Ragu Pasta Sauce” would be accepted. A Walgreens store coupon advertising “2/$1 Morton’s Salt” would be accepted. (A Target store coupon for “$2.50 off Huggies” would not, because it does not show the actual selling price of the item.)
- With the new coupon policy, Walmart will also accept competitor’s Catalina manufacturer coupons. You can get a Catalina for $1 off Snuggle and use it at Walmart.
- Walmart’s new coupon policy specifically addresses coupon overage. It says “Coupons may exceed the price of the item. Change may be given or applied toward the cost of the basket purchase.” I have heard from one reader who used a $3 Register Reward on a $2.49 copy of All You magazine and DID receive change, in cash.
I would print a copy and carry a copy of the coupon policy with you if you anticipate any issues.
Will I blog Walmart in its entirety each week?
I will not be blogging entire writeups for Walmart each week. Every store location’s regular prices are different, and Walmart does not issue a weekly ad every week. I’ve listed Walmart at the end of each week’s Deals writeup, because if you see any deals above that you want, you’ll likely also be able to do them at Walmart.
However, if there IS an ad with noteworthy sales or I’m aware of great coupon matchups, you’ll find those here too:

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Boy, it really pays to stay up late sometimes. (And since this is “spring break week” it is easier to stay up because I don’t have to get the kids ready tomorrow for school!) Thank you for posting so early and for everything you do. You have truly changed the way I shop and even the way I spend money in general. Again, thank you!

Jill, I am confused by your Kellogg’s/Produce deal. It looks as if you didn’t account for the cost of the produce. If you get $3 worth of produce and use the $1.50/2 coupons that would deduct from the produce amount not from the total price of the cereal. I think that the lowest price for all 4 boxes would be:
4 boxes = $10.00
– (2) $1/2 = $8.00
– $4.00 instant
= $4.00 or $1.00 per box
Then you can use the produce coupons for free produce.
Is this right or am I missing something?

At Jewel the Mac n Cheese that is .79 for ten after the instant savings is the “spiral” kind. The plain old “elbow” type is regularly priced at .99 and at my Jewel is included in the instant savings deal so .49 when you buy 10. (even though it is not shown in the ad)

There is another coupon in the Smart Source insert this week for $1 off beef when you buy two jars of Classico. I don’t know what their beef prices are, but if you buy two jars of Classico for $.69 and then get a $1 off a small package of beef, it should be a decent deal. My Dominicks also always has clearance beef for 50-75% off that is about to pass its “best by” date, so that could be an even better deal.
By the way, I tried the BOGO on Edy’s at Jewel, and as you noted, it did not work. I was disappointed, but like you say, “can’t complain!”

Also on the ice cream deal, IF you can find the coupons (I’m not sure where they came from, I’ve only seen a few sets @ the coupon clipper sites) here’s a deal I’m in love with:
Buy 6 Edy’s shakes/smoothies 12.00/9.00 Use 3 1.00 off two coupons and one rolling 4.00 cat = 2.00 for 6 oop OR .33 cents per cup! Sure beats Dairy Queen prices, and I don’t have to wash the blender!!!!
Happy Shopping!!

I’m new to this blog, and I was super excited to get started this week. But, I sent my husband out to get the Tribune on Sunday, and the paper he brought back had no coupons. It looked to be otherwise intact, and it did have a plastic sleeve with some ads in it, but no insert with manufacturer coupons (no smartsource or redplum). Boo! Did I just get a dud paper, or do those inserts only come with home delivery papers? Is there another way to get the inserts? Thanks for your insight…

Went to the RayOVac, but don’t see any coupon. Can someone either post a URL directly tot he page with the coupon, or at least tell me how to navigate to the right place to get it.

Is the Almay coupon in the Spring Beauty Guide a store coupon or man coupon? The back states “Manufacturer coupon good only at Walgreens” but it does not have an address for store redemption. When I purchased Almay mascara today, the cashier used the Spring Beauty Guide coupon first and the register beeped when she put in the newspaper M Q. Do you think it identified both as M Qs?

I just tried to use the Almay coupon inside the Beauty Book while stacking it with the manufacturer coupon from the Sunday Paper. The store would not allow me to use both coupons, as they said both were manufacturer coupons. The manager came over and said all the coupons inside the Beauty Book are manufacturer coupons.

If you are doing the Starbucks deal check your JFU mine has a personal price of $6.74 which would make it $4.74 if you did the Frappi or Shots.

If you still have Delicious booklets from a few months ago, use it here. Wags has store Q in the flyer making Jello pudding $.59. Buy 3 for $1.77- $1.25 Q = $.52 or 17 cents each.

In the Infant Care coupon book, there is a $2 coupon. So the price would be $3.49 or 3.99. Sweet!

I am brand new to this. Some of the coupon sites print for me and some say I have already printed. Does anyone else have this problem? The facebook printable for the oscer mayer would not work for me and neither would the ones that send me to the coupon network. But I was able to print the ones from better-coupons.com. What gives?

I had an issue at Jewel today and I want to make sure I did this right.
I purchased 4 boxes of Cocoa Krispies, 2 cartons of eggs, and grapes.
I used (2) 1.00/2 cereal coupons, (2) 1.00 off eggs wyb 2 Kellogg’s cereals coupons, and (1) 1.00 off produce wyb 2 boxes of Kellogg’s cereals coupon.
The register said I was using too many coupons. The cashier pushed it through, but I thought each coupon was coming off its own item so I am a little confused.
Help!

So I had two catalinas that were money off my purchase from two different manufacturers. I also had one store coupon for $5 bucks off my purchase. The girl took the first two catalinas and used them—they were expired. However, on the store coupon she refused to take it saying it was expired. I am so confused, so does Dominicks take expired coupons or NOT. If so which ones. UGH!!!!!!!!

Jill,
With the news recently stating that food prices are going up, are you going to be readjusting your thought process on what price per pound we should pay for meat and seafood products? Just curious.

Just got back from Jewel, where I was in desperate need of water so was willing to buy the 24 packs of Nestle Pure Life water for $3.50 each (usually I get a 35 pack at Sam’s for not much more than that, but didn’t have time to go there.)
However, I was pleasantly surprised at checkout to receive a $1.00 OYNO Cat from Nestle Pure life! I didn’t know there were any cats out for that right now, not sure if I bought more if I would have gotten a higher value.
Anyone know the details on this Cat?

Thanks!

Bought 2 skinny cow truffle bar and tried to use 2- 1/1 Q but they only accepted one of the Q and said it will only allow me to use one of them. The same thing happened with my 1$ of 2 Kellogs. Anybody else have this problem today? I always love to shop at Jewel but now I think I have to think twice if I am gonna try the deal or not.
eireed says
I had the same problem. Jewel would not let me use the $1 off fresh fruit because it said $1 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 boxes of Kellogg cereal. They said because I was trying to use 2 – $1 off 2 Kellogg cereal and then 2-$1 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 boxes of cereal that it won’t work. I was trying to use too many manufacturer coupons at once. It was frustrating. They had to void my whole order and re ring it. I understand what they are saying now but it was embarrassing when it happened.

Brownberry bread 24 oz is $3.99, buy one get one free. I got the “healthfull” type, which has a $0.55 off coupon in the 3/6 SS. With 2 coupons, pay $2.89 (which is $1.45 per loaf) for “expensive” bread. :)

Does the cereal scenario also trigger the free milk w/3 boxes? (From the list of national catalina info).

I have a question, can I use a $1 off any pampers on the travel size diapers at the check outs? I just want to have one as an emergency back up diaper n wipes for my car just in case I forget the diaper bag, again.

I am having a hard time with IP at Wags. I have been told by Wags in NWIndiana and Chicago that they will no longer accept printables…yup you guessed it, because of fraud. REAL Big Headache!!! Is this happening to anyone else….

I did the Kleenex deal at Dominicks, but in my 2/13SS the coupon was Buy 3 get 1 free. So I bought 2 @ $0.99 (super coupon price), 2 @ $1.50 (sale price), and got $2.19 (the regular price) back for the free one. Altogether 4 boxes of kleenex for $2.79 – not bad! I also had a $3 off 24 count Charmin loaded onto my Dominicks card. I purchased the 12 count Charmin that was on sale for $5.99, and the $3 coupon came off on my transaction – so a 12 count Charmin was only $2.99. As always, thanks for posting these deals!! :)

Has anyone had a problem with redeeming CATs at Doms? Monday, I went to the Doms in Crystal Lake. The checker called the CS person over and they told me I could now only redeem one Manufacturer CAT per order. That was their new policy….huh.

I went to Jewel and bought two skinny cows. Before I could hand the cashier my preferred card, she scanned her own. I gave her mine and told her that I needed her to scan mine, please, because otherwise the Edy’s coupon would not come out. Well, the Edy’s coupon did not come out anyway! Is this because she scanned her card or is it because the black belt deal truly is not working? Anyone know?

Tried to use the printable coupon for the Reach Floss at WalGs yesterday and it popped up as ‘Product not found’. Oddly enough, I had a Almay coupon I had clipped out and it gave the same message. Cashier said there was nothing they could do. :(
Anyone else have trouble?
I’m thinking of going to a different WalGs.

Question – usually hit the grocery store earlier in the week.
Are these “Deals of the Week” still good today on Thursday?
Or are they only good Sunday thur Wed? I know some sale items
change over on Thursday and it’s not listed here which ones too
(except some that are good only through Monday). Does anyone know?
For example are the Kelloggs cereals still on sale at 2.50?
Thanks for your help
