Super-Couponers, welcome to another week of great deals! You have no idea how busy the past few days were for me, but I’ll let you in on a little secret… you’ll be able to SEE how busy on Thursday night, when ABC’s Nightline is scheduled to air a segment on coupon shopping!
In this segment, Nightline gave me and another shopper each $50 and asked us to see how much we could buy, with coupons, with that money. It is scheduled to air at 10:30pm on Channel 7 in Chicago, and of course nationally whenever Nightline airs in your market.
This week’s newspaper contained two inserts: a SmartSource and a RedPlum.
Ready for Chicagoland’s best Deals of the Week? You’ll be taking home FREE cold cuts, CHEAP “expensive” frozen pizzas, FREE Deodorant, FREE shampoo, CHEAP ice cream, CHEAP frozen foods, super CHEAP meats, CHEAP cereal (again!) CHEAP cleaners, better-priced-than-average diapers, so … let’s get started!

Grocery Deals
Starting at Jewel, we continue to have a bit of a “breather” from the Catalina insanity of the past month — but I’ll take it! It’s easier to keep track of the great sales when they’re not coming at us fast and furiously.
Before we dig into the coupon savings, Jewel has a promo running called Refund Rewards on Jewel store gift cards. Buy a $250 Jewel gift card and get an extra $20 loaded to the card! Buy a $300 Jewel gift card and get an extra $30 loaded to the card! This is a SWEET deal if you know you’ll be shopping at Jewel for awhile (and can spare putting that money out there to reap a very nice 10% in extra free money!)
Here’s a little deal on Kotex Pantiliners. They’re on sale for .99. If you did the mail-in promo from Scott paper products after the “Insane Scott Paper Towel Catalina deal of 2009,” you sent in 3 Scott UPCs and got a free Scott soccer ball plus a coupon booklet. In the booklet is a .75 coupon off Kotex. Use it and pay just .24! Some readers have reported finding .75 and $1 Kotex coupons in existing boxes of Kotex they had at home – check yours if you’d like to do this deal too.
The YourBucks Catalina promotion continues to rock and roll! If you haven’t been following this deal, YOU ARE MISSING OUT ON AN INSANE AMOUNT OF FREE AND CHEAP PRODUCTS!
(Did that catch your attention? :)
Jewel is offering a rotating set of Catalina deals that you activate with your Jewel Preferred card. Head over to tv.catalinamarketing.com and sign up with your card number to activate the electronic coupons that result in Catalinas when you buy featured products. Note that it takes 36 hours to activate these discounts. YOU MUST OPT-IN TO RECEIVE THESE CATALINAS.

- Reader Couponvanalek spotted a great YourBucks deal on Pepsi Max and Doritos! Pepsi Max is on sale for $1.49. When you buy it, you get a $1 Catalina – cheap! BUT look for hangtags on your Pepsi Max bottles for “Buy Doritos, get Pepsi Max free. Doritos are on sale for $1.99, so … pay $1.99 for Doritos AND Pepsi Max, and get $1 back – .99 for BOTH! (Note that only the “plain” Pepsi Max works for this deal.
- Nestle Toll House chocolate chips are on sale for $2.50. Print two .75 coupons, pay $3.50 and get $1.50 back — $2 for 2 bags!
- Ragu 26oz. pasta sauces are $1.99. Buy and receive a $1 Catalina – CHEAP Ragu!
- Breyers Ice Cream is $3. Buy 2 and receive a $2 Catalina — Double-Dips into CHILL Catalina deal below
- Jewel Homelife Awesome paper towels are .89 each. Buy 3 and get a $1 Catalina – 3 rolls for $1.67 is .56 a roll… not bad IF you missed out on all of the paper products deals over the past three weeks.
- Suave deodorant is on sale for $1.69. Buy 2 and get $1 back in YourBucks! Make it a moneymaker with this $3 off 2 coupon – pay .38 and get $1 back! FREE deodorant AND a moneymaker!
- Suave shampoo is on sale for .89 (again!) Buy 2 and get $1 back in YourBucks! (Note that you can only do ONE Suave deal per transaction – do this, OR the deodorant, but not both at the same time.) If you get multiple inserts, buy 2 shampoos, use two .50 coupons from the Dominick’s $15 coupon book, pay .78 and get $1 back! Another Suave moneymaker!
- Some varieties of Degree deodorant is on clearance for $1.29 at some stores. Buy one and get a $1 YourBuck! With this $1.25 coupon it’s a MONEYMAKER…
- This week’s Jewel roast, carrots, potatoes and onions deal is good! Beef or bone-in pork roasts are on sale for $2.99/lb. While this is more than my usual $1.99/lb. benchmark for meats, I bought the roast this week… because get this. When you buy the 3lb. roast, you will also get a free lb. bag of carrots, a free 5lb. bag of potatoes, and a free 3lb. bag of onions WITH it! (Look for store coupons near the roast/meat area.) So, when you count the value of all of those things in… look for a roast just over 3lbs ($8.97) – pay, and you’ll also get a $1 YourBuck for buying the potatoes… even though they were free!
- The other big deal of the week everyone’s talking about is the Chef’s Requested Filet Mignon. The filets are on sale for $7.99, B1G1F (2 steaks to a package). Now, for anyone who’s ever thought that you cannot coupon meat, here’s a deal that will make your head spin. Head over to Chef’s Requested’s site and print the coupons for $3 off steaks and Buy 3, get the 4th free. So here’s the deal. Buy FOUR 2-packs of steaks. Use the $3 coupon on one $7.99 pack, and the B3G4thF coupon on the other $7.99 package. The other two packs are free. You’ll pay $4.99 for all 4 packs – about $1.25 a package, or .62 per filet. IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS DEAL:When you print your coupons, you’ll see a $1 off coupon too. While in theory you should be able to print and use this on another one of your packages, the $1 coupon is coded oddly and WILL beep. It will not work this way at the register, and the store likely will not want to push it through. You are better off doing it the way I’ve outlined above (you’re only paying .12 per steak more – a pittance considering what these usually cost! THE OTHER IMPORTANT NOTE ON THIS DEAL: It’s currently Jewel’s policy not to accept an internet printable with a fixed value of $5 or more. The B3G4F does not have a fixed (stated) value as the cashier has to enter the price — but the value of the $7.99 package of filets IS over $5, so your store may not allow this coupon, OR they may choose to reduce its value to $5. Again, if you want to try this deal, you certainly can, but do NOT be forceful with your store on this as they do have the right to refuse it based on high dollar value.
- Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Braeburn, Golden Delicious or Gala apples are .77/lb.
- Organic Anjou pears are on sale for $1.99/lb
- Wild Harvest organic carrots are $1.99 for a 1lb. bag. Use the $1 printable above and pay .99!

Deals continuing from last week:
Jewel’s house brand of diapers, Baby Basics, are $7.99 a pack. Print this $4 coupon, and then print another $4 coupon at www.babybasicsclub.com! These will cut the price in half to $3.99 a pack!
Here’s a little greeting card deal! The current Thursday Jewel flyer has a coupon inside for a free stuffed Easter bunny when you buy 3 American Greetings cards. Make this better with a coupon for Buy One American Greetings card, Get One Free — you can find this great coupon in the Chef’s Kitchen catering booklet at the deli counter in the store. With it, buy 3 cards, pay for 2, and get a free bunny!
If you’re a fan of Jewel’s Wild Harvest line of organics, here’s your chance to take some home cheap or FREE! Print this $1 off any Wild Harvest coupon and look around the store — there are MANY Wild Harvest products that sell for $1, or close to it — crackers, cookies, organic produce… even reusable shopping bags.
Jewel meat deals:
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry, or seafood) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices.)
Jewel produce deals:
Over at Dominick’s, their $25/$10 frozen food Catalina continues, as well as a new instant-savings deal on cleaning products…
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
First off, if you’re a Vocalpoint (coupon network) member, you may have received a box of Kashi Heart-to-Heart cereal in the mail recently, along with a little stack of coupons for the cereal (1 free box, plus several $1.50 off coupons too.) This is a great week to use them at Doms, as Kashi is part of a “Buy 4, save $4” instant savings deal.
Kashi cereals are $3 each. Buy 4 ($12.) Use the free box Vocalpoint coupon, plus three $1.50 coupons. After coupons, you’ll be at $4.50 for all. But… then you’ll receive $4 in instant savings. Yes, four boxes of cereal for .50 – that’s about .13 a box! (And people initially don’t believe me in my coupon classes when I state, factually, that I never pay more than a quarter for a name-brand box of cereal..! Hope you too are getting used to NEVER paying much, if anything, for cereal ever again…)
Simply Clean “Buy 3 or more and they’re $1.99 each” instant-savings deal – through 3/30 In this mix and match sale, buying any 3 or MORE knocks the price of these cleaning products to $1.99 each. With coupons, you can cut the prices of many of these in half again — excellent time to stock up on cleaners! Here are your products and matchups: Clorox spray cleaners Clorox disinfecting wipes Febreze Air Effects Glade candles Pine-Sol liquid cleaner Scotch-Brite scrubbing sponges Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner Soft Scrub Windex spray cleaner |

And, for those die-hard people who chased the Jewel Preferred Card Update promo around the suburbs throughout 2009, if you did the Update a ridiculous amount of times, you just might have enough coupons for this next, wild scenario:

Dominick’s meat deals:
Dominick’s produce deals:
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.

Continuing from previous weeks…
Personal care freebies! One of the constants of being a coupon shopper is that you rarely, if ever, pay for ANY personal care products, and this holds true with our next Hilander deals!
Reach dental floss is also on sale for $1. There are lots of coupons current for this — any $1 coupons from 1/3 RP, 10/18/09 RP, or 10/4/09 RP will have you taking these home FREE!
Listerine Pocket Packs are also (you guessed it) on sale for a buck. The .50 coupons from 1/3 RP and 10/18 RP will double, netting you two FREE!

Target’s got a good deal going on SoBe beverages (and I know these have their fans!) Buy 10 at $1 each and get a $5 gift card! This knocks the price of each to .50 a bottle.
Now, add coupons!
B1G1F Sobe – (print 2!)
.50 off 1 (Target store coupon, limited to 1 per transaction)
So, here’s how it looks. Buy 10. 2 will be free with the B1G1F coupons. Save another .50 with the Target store coupon.
Pay $7.50 and get $5 back! 10 Sobes for $2.50 is a QUARTER APIECE!
Continuing from previous weeks, there’s a great deal on Crest Kids Toothpaste. It’s on temporary price cut to $1.49. Use the .75 coupon from 3/7 or 2/7 PG and stack it with this $1 Target Store coupon for $1 off Kids’ Crest. And guess what… it’s FREE!
Band-Aids are on price cut to $1.88. Use the $1 Band-Aid coupon from 1/3 RP and stack it with this $1 Target store Band-Aid coupon = FREE Band-Aids! Nice!
Numerous readers have reported seeing Gillette Men’s Body Wash on sale for $1.99 — it’s usually on an endcap and not with the other body washes. This item pairs nicely with the $4 off 2 off Gillette Men’s Body Wash coupons in the 2/21 PG – TWO free!
SuperTarget produce deals:
Over at Kmart, their high-value Catalina deal involving numerous cleaning and paper products continues… and it just got better!
Kmart is running a “Spend $20, get $5 OR Spend $30, get $10 Catatalina deal.
What’s interesting about this sale is that the ad states “Offer is good on ANY size, scent or variety of these featured brands,” and then goes on to list the brands, noting that there are over 165 included items. No worrying about UPC lists or spreadsheets here! Here are your matchups. (Note that the ad features VERY few prices – I’ve noted them here. If you come up with a good scenario, please feel free to post and share it!) Angel Soft – $5.49 for 12 double or 24 regular rolls Brawny Coast Dial – $3.50 for 8 bar soap, body wash or body wash refill Dixie Purex – $4 for 72oz. liquid, $5 for 3-in-1 Quilted Northern 12-roll – $7.49 Renuzit – $1 for Adjustables, $2.79 for Pearl Scents Right Guard – $2.50 deodorant Soft Scrub Sparkle – $5.49 for 8-roll pack Tone – $3.50 for 6-bar soap Vanity Fair Zout |
So how did this deal get better? With this $10 off a $20 purchase coupon! OH yes. This one’s so hot it might set your printer on fire! Let’s work this into the current Catalina deal with an easy scenario…
Buy 5 Northern 12-roll toilet paper packs ($7.49 each) = $37.45
Use the 10.00 coupon. Pay 27.45 and receive a 10.00 Catalina. That’s $17.45 for 60 rolls of toilet paper – about .29 a roll. And, if you’re a rebater, send in for this $5 rebate – that will knock it down to about $12 for all of that, including the stamp…
UPDATE: Kmart has already pulled this coupon due to “abuse.” I’m getting really tired of companies making amazing offers available to shoppers, then crying “abuse” when people follow through and use them…
In my Super-Couponing 2 class we discuss clothing clearance cycles and how to know when they’re coming. Sometimes it’s just as simple as looking at a store’s flyer… on the front cover of the current Kmart flyer, it says “Clearance Countdown – All winter apparel (excluding outerwear) is $2.99 – Final Weeks.”
Kmart’s Super Double Coupons event is scheduled to return 4/4-4/10! More on that as we get closer… but this is a FUN event for Chicagoans, as we have NO double coupon promotions in our immediate area other than this. And, this Catalina sale runs through 4/12/10! So we’ll have some overlap between the Catalina and the double coupons early next month.
Drugstore Deals
Here’s a deal on Gillette Fusion shaving gel and Gillette 2-in-1 Body Wash. They’re on sale for $2.50 each with the store coupon in the Walgreens ad. Buy 2, use the $1 shaving gel coupon from 3/7 PG or 2/7 PG. Use the “Buy Shave Gel, get Body Wash free coupon from 2/21 PG. You’ll pay $1.50 for both!
Stride Mega Mystery gum is .79 with the coupon in the Walgreens flyer. Use the .50 “Mystery” Stride coupon from 3/14 SS and pay .29 a pack…
Crest Pro-Health mouthwash is cheap this week too! It’s on sale for $3.99. When you buy it, you’ll get $1 back in Register Rewards. Use a $2 coupon from 3/7 PG or 27 PG. pay $1.99 and get $1 back. .99 mouthwash!
Looking for a decent diaper deal? Here’s a Huggies deal. They’re on sale for $8.99 a pack this week (NOT a deal.) But, they’re also involved in a RR deal where you’ll get $5 back for buying 3. Drop the price of your packs with these $3 printable coupons (another one here if you become a fan of Huggies on Facebook!. With 3 coupons, buy 3, get $5 back, and ultimately pay $12.97 for 3 packs… that’s $4.32 each…
Walgreens reusable shopping bags are 3 for a dollar with the coupon in the Wags ad. That’s a great price, and at this price, they also make good “filler” items if you’re using up RRs…
And finally, over at CVS… Colgate Total toothpaste is FREE AGAIN this week at CVS! It’s on sale for $3.99. Buy it and get $3.99 back in ECBs! Use a manufacturer coupon to make this a moneymaker — there’s a $1 manufacturer coupon in 3/7 SS, and in the Thursday Jewel ad too!
If you prefer Pampers diapers, CVS will be your diaper shopping headquarters this week. Pampers are on sale for $8.97 a package (again, NO deal.) But, when you buy 2, you’ll get $3 back in ECBs for EACH package. Use $2 Pampers coupons from 3/14 PG and 2/21 PG, pay $13.94 and get $6 back! That works out to $3.97 a package…

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Jill – in your opinion – I still have the Culinary Circle FREE pizza coupon from the Jewel Preferred Card Update book. Would this be the best time to use it with the YB cat? I know you usually say to hold onto them for a B1G1F sale.

Went Friday and purchased two rattan baskets where the sale is buy one and get second item 50% off. I also purchased a third item under $20. Was told I couldn’t use the coupon because of the buy one get 50% off would not be included in my getting to the $20 mark (can’t combine two promotions at the same time I guess). I needed to buy a fourth item to hit $20. I went ahead with purchase knowing the coupon has a May expiration date and I could use it another time.

When this deal was posted last week I couldn’t find the 2.00 coupon in the 1/31 RP. Did anyone else find it? I might need new glasses. LOL. I did find 2.00 peelies on some of the bags and I discovered there are some coupons inside the bags.

Are the safeway veggies still on sale I thought they were only until 3/17. Does anyone know I don’t see them in the flyer.

I tried to get the free Easter Bunny with the greeting cards at Jewel BUT they were out of bunnies and said they wouldn’t be getting more AND then the coupon for buy 2 get 1 free card was expired (12/09) so they wouldn’t take it. I needed the cards anyway and there was a buy 2 get $2 off coupon in the greeting card isle so I used it to purchase my cards.
lovesyzygy says
anyone have luck getting these? I’ve tried it through Internet Explorer and through Firefox (I have Windows 7) and I keep getting the message, “we’re unable to support coupon printing on your system at this time.” Help!
Is it my Windows 7 OS? Because it says that both IE and Firefox are supported.
Blah. Sounded like a good deal…
tripletts07 says
After looking at the math, wouldn’t it end up being $2 for all 4 boxes and not $.50? Just curious if I missed anything.
lovesyzygy says
…is now $1 off 5? At least, that’s the only one I could find on the website.
Also the Nestle coupon is $.75 off TWO? So not quite as good?
Or am I totally misunderstanding something? I’m pretty new to the whole couponing thing. Maybe it’s my lousy new computer…

8 oz. size. It was for both spreadable butter varieties – olive oil and canola oil. I’ve been waiting for this sale since November….
There’s a $.40 coupon in the 3/14 SS.
$.51 each after coupons is a steal for this butter!
NOTE: Make sure your butter isn’t the 11th free item or your coupon will beep….And Meijer is a pain for beeping coupons.
This coupon is not listed on Coupontom……but I KNOW I clipped a spreadable butter with olive or canola coupon and used it….16 of them!)
16 because my family of 5 is addicted to the spreadable butter with canola oil, and the expiration dates on this go to August. That’s one a week for 16 weeks… :-)

Just printed and used Chef’s Request coupons at my Jewel and they wrote the $7.99 price on the b3g4thfree coupon…no $5.00 limit!

Per Jill’s example:
“A 5-pizza-plus-one deal
Buy 5 California Pizza Kitchen pizzas ($5.99 – total $23.96)
Buy 1 Safeway Frozen Vegetables ($2 – a filler to get us over $25
With four $1 CPK coupons, pay $21.96 and get $13 back – $8.96 for five pizzas is $1.79 each!”
I think the calculation is off, If you buy 5 it would be a total of $29.95, so you only need to buy 4 pizzas $5.99 * 4 = $23.96 + $2.00 item = $25.96 – (4 * $1Q’s) = $21.96 – ($3 cat WYB4) = $18.96 – ($10cat over $25 purc.) = $8.96 / 4pizzas = $2.24/pizza + the filler item. Please correct me if I’m missing something.

that I just printed this morning from your link reflected a $9.00 maximum value for the B3G1.
Went to Jewel early today and obtained a raincheck as they were all out. Butcher recommended I only purchase two though and taste it for myself…says it looks more like pork and said it didn’t taste very good to her…actually said if you have a dog, they might like it better.
Has anyone actually tried this cut of meat?

I went to Jewel with my cash in hand to purchase the $300 gift card and get $30 free, if you are a Discover Card holder they are giving 5% cash back on grocery purchases for the month of March, so I used the card to get the gift card and I should get another $15 free….you have to go to the discover web site and sign up for the cash back or you can call 1-800-discover and sign up first.I will let you know if the purchase didn’t show up as a grocery purchase…the cashier thought that it would.

So today I went into Jewel just needing milk… and came out with…
the 3lb roast – there was one for EXACTLY $9
5lb russet potatoes
3lb onions
1lb carrots
1 liter Smart Water for $1 (to get to $10)
I used my CHILL $10 cat on this, and paid $.18!!!!!!!!!!! …. but of course got $1YB, so jewel essentially paid me $.82 to take it all home! woohoo!
AMAZING.
Got so excited I forgot to get milk and had to go back in the store. lol! Used a $2YB on the milk and paid $.42.
My hubby couldn’t believe it. He asked, “what was your OUT OF POCKET, not just after the catalinas you got back?” (I count it a victory that he even knows what catalinas are)
I am glad that this week Jewel’s deals are calmer. Our freezer, fridge, and cabinets/pantry are FULL to the brim. THANK YOU JILL! :)

I was VERY disappointed. I receive one Trib at home and then usually get another from my parents, but this week I forgot that one and picked up 2 at Jewel. This is strike two (happened the other time I bought the trib @ Jewel last month) – They only have ONE insert! I paid 4x’s my home delivery price & got 1/2 the coupons! – What a scam, a ripoff, nice way to rip off customers.

There was a big sign on the freezer at my Jewel today that said none of the Apple Juice or Apple Juice Blends are part of the Chill deal. Those were the only juices left in the freezer, so I didn’t buy anyone. Has anyone tried to buy the apple juices and did it work?

I bought 4 chef’s requested fillets. The cashier rang one $3 coupon and had to ask the manager about the B3G1. The manager said no, I could only use one or the other. If you print off the Target coupon for $3 off select Hasbro games and the $5 off coupon from Hasbro Play-Saver, you can get original Battleship for $1.
Monopoly and Connect 4 are $7, there is a $5 off Monopoly coupon and a $4 off Connect 4 on Play-Saver, so you can get those for $2 and $3 respectively.
We play board games in my house and I like giving them as gifts, so it’s a perfect time to get some stocked up for upcoming birthdays or Christmas packages (one year I gave my brother’s family two board games, a Pizza Hut gift card, and brownie mix-in-a-jar).

I went to Jewel and tried the Chill using four AJ Pancakes, two RB four cheese pizzas and four Tyson 3 lb boxes… No Catalina printed. There was no hang tag for the Tyson chicken and I just checked the UPC list and I don’t see it on there… Has anyone else gotten a Catalina on the Chill deal by getting Tyson Chicken? Thanks Jill – I’m a beginner, and this is the first problem I have had!

If you use your P&G coupons from 2/7 and 3/7 you can get a great deal. I went to Target last night and picked up a bottle of Gillette body wash and an antiperspirant for my husband. I used the $2 coupon on the body wash and then the buy an antiperspirant (on sale for $3 right now) get a free body wash coupon. I walked out paying $1 total for both items.

sometimes I read the week deals and assume that they go all week, but most of the deals that you post only go until Wednesday. correct?
Kashi cereals are $3 each. Buy 4 ($12.) Use the free box Vocalpoint coupon, plus three $1.50 coupons. After coupons, you’ll be at $4.50 for all. But… then you’ll receive $4 in instant savings

As a single person living in a 1-bedroom apartment downtown Chicago, it is very difficult to take advantage of “bulk” and “stockpile” deals. But simply being made aware of the promotions, coupon books, and combinations possible for adding up savings has really helped. Thank you so much for putting this information into your website– armed with your tips, this morning I saved 49% on a cart load of groceries that I will actually use and enjoy!

P.S. And for what it’s worth, I had a very pleasant experience “super-couponing” at the Dominick’s on Clybourn & Wrightwood– had no problems with any of the coupons (booklet and internet), and the clerk was very friendly, laughing along with me as the savings kept adding up!
