Hello, Super-Couponers! I hope everyone had a nice Mother’s Day celebration yesterday. I spent the day with my family and my own beautiful Mom (a coupon pro in her own right) and my amazing Dad, who recently returned from China. Check out the souvenir he brought me… COUPONS for a KFC restaurant! (Think they’ll take these here? Click for a closer view… the conversion rate is about $7 Y to $1 US Dollar. Quite eye-opening to see what things cost around the world!)
A big welcome to our readers from my Glen Ellyn class this past week!
This week’s newspaper contained ONE insert: SmartSource. However, my Chicago Tribune readers will also want to pull out the one-page Meijer flyer, as it has manufacturer coupons for some ConAgra products on it. Parade magazine also has some manufacturer coupons this week as well, and many home-delivered Tribunes also had a bag of Hills Bros. coffee and a $1 coupon inside the bag too! Whew!

Deals continuing from previous weeks:
“Try Something New” $12/$4 Catalina Deal (through 5/12) Purchase $12 worth of included frozen products and get a $4 Catalina! Here are your products and matchups. I collected prices at Huntley and updated them with this week’s flyer, but your store may vary slightly on NON-sale priced items: Edy’s Fruit Bars Coupons: Edy’s Ice Cream (any) Coupons: Eskimo Pies Frosty Paws ice cream for dogs Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream or Bars – any size Coupons: Nestle Dibs (any) Coupons: Nestle Drumsticks Coupons: Skinny Cow Coupons: |
In looking at this, with this Catalina sale ending on May 12, if some of these products that the freezer deal coupons line up to DON’T go on sale B1G1F, I’d advise using your FREE freezer coupons for Edy’s and Skinny Cow as part of this deal – while you might not be able to double-up product wise, you WILL get a Catalina back and be able to work MORE cheap/free ice cream into the deal, and that’s always nice too :)
Here’s a possible scenario, if you’re bugs to use yours up and want cheap ice cream NOW! :)
Buy 1 Snack Size Edy’s ($1) – use freezer coupon
Buy 1 Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches ($3.99) – use freezer coupon
Buy 1 Dibs ($2.99) – use $1 coupon
Buy 2 Edy’s fruit bars ($2.49 each) – use $1-off-2 coupon
Pre-coupon total: $12.96

Pay $5.98 and get $4 back. And there you go :)
If you are a “Black Belt” coupon shopper, you may like these Black Belt Scenarios for the Try Something New $12/$4.
The Scott paper products Catalina continues through 5/16, and it’s pretty easy – receive a Catalina when you buy from any two, three or four DIFFERENT Scott paper product categories.
Product categories include: Scott bath tissue, Scott paper towels, Scott napkins, and Scott flushable wipes. (Scotties facial tissue is NOT included.)
Buy 1 item from each of 2 categories and get a $2 Catalina
Buy 1 item from each of 3 categories and get a $3 Catalina
Buy 1 item from each of 4 categories and get a $5 Catalina
Note, again, that you must buy one item from EACH category to qualify for the Catalina. Buying 4 rolls of paper towels will NOT generate a Catalina as they’re all in the same category.
UPDATE: This deal’s been running for a couple of weeks now, but it got better with the new prices in Thursday’s ad!
The new ad has 8-rolls of ScotTissue and 6-roll ScotTowels for $4.88 each. So here’s how the deal can work:
Buy one of each (1 toilet paper multipack and 1 paper towels multipack.)
Pre-coupon total: $9.76
Use two $1 coupons, one for toilet paper and one for paper towels. The recent “Stash Your Cash” Scott coupon mailer contains one coupon for each product, as does the May issue of All You and the 5/2 SS Espanol. (IF Naturals are included at this price, there’s a $1 printable here too.)
Pay $7.76 and get a $2 Catalina back — that’s $5.76 for both, or $2.88 per multipack! (If you like per-roll prices, that’s .36 a roll for the TP and .48 per roll for the paper towels.)
________________
Here’s another, simple way to do the deal:
Buy 1 Scott paper towel roll and 1 single-roll Scott toilet tissue.
Pay $2.68 for both and get a $2 Catalina back. .68 for two is .34 each… but you will need to do lots of trips through the lane, as this is a one-per-transaction deal.
Posted last week for Dominick’s, but some readers noted it’s currently priced the same at Jewel…
In the 4/11 SS insert, SOME editions of the Chicago Tribune received a coupon for $5 off Finish Quantumatic dishwasher dispenser in the SS insert.
If you received one and have been looking for a place to spend it, Finish Quantumatic is on sale for $6.49 at Dominick’s for 12 loads. With coupon, you’ll pay $1.49. This isn’t really a fabulous price for just 12 loads of detergent, but if the coupon’s burning a hole in your pocket, it’s “okay.” The only lower price I’ve seen on this was when Meijer had it for $4.99 in April (FREE with the $5 coupon.)
FREEZER DEAL MATCHUPS: If you did the 2010 Jewel Freezer Deal and are watching and waiting for Buy One, Get One Free sales to maximize your freezer coupons, Deans Churn Ice Cream tubs are still B1G1F through May 16th! Get two free!
We’ll be keeping track of the B1G1F sales for the freezer coupons in this Forum discussion.
If you’re a fan of Jewel’s Wild Harvest line of organics, here’s your chance to take some home cheap or FREE! Print this $1 off any Wild Harvest coupon and look around the store — there are many Wild Harvest products that sell for close to $1.
This week’s best bets?
Wild Harvest organic baby-cut carrots are $1.99/lb – .99 with coupon
Wild Harvest reusable shopping bags – .99 – free with coupon
Wild Harvest canned beans – $1.29 at most stores – .29 with coupon
Jewel’s house brand of diapers, Baby Basics, are a good buy with coupons! Jumbo packs are $7.99 each. Use these $4 printables here and here and cut that price in half… to $3.99 a jumbo pack of diapers! Jewel also has the value pack (cardboard case) of diapers on sale for $16.99 – with coupon, it’s $12.99.
Jewel meat deals:
- Perdue fresh cut-up whole fryer chickens are $1.69/lb.
- Farm fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts are $1.79/lb
- Perdue fresh Cornish Hen twinpacks are $1.99/lb.
- Jewel is also running their “Fav 4” meat deal again. Usually your best bets here are to stick with meats that will work out to around $1.99/lb. in the deal.
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry, or seafood) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices.)
Jewel produce deals:
- 1lb. bags of Farm Stand carrots are .79 – EXCELLENT price
- Wild Harvest organic baby-cut carrots are $1.99/lb – with $1 printable coupon above, pay .99
- Anjou or Packham pears are $1.49/lb
- Broccoli crowns or cauliflower are $1.49/lb.
- 2lb. packages of strawberries are $2.99 – that’s $1.50/lb.
- Red seedless grapes are $1.99/lb.
- Fresh Michigan asparagus is $1.99/lb.
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
Kicking things off, Dominick’s is running a “Buy 5, Save $5” instant-savings deal on juices! Here are your products and matchups: $1.49 group (Buy in quantities of 5, and they’re $1.49 each) CapriSun Langer’s 64-oz Mott’s apple juice 64oz $1.99 group (Buy in quantities of 5, and they’re $1.99 each) V8 Red V8 Fusion Welch’s Grape You can mix and match juices from either group, but you must buy in quantities of 5 to receive the instant-savings discount. |
As usual, there are some Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. Best bets?
- All laundry detergent (32 loads) is $2.99 with Super Coupon, limit 2. Stack this with the $2 coupon from 1/3 RP1 (exp) or 12/6/09 RP (exp) and pay .99 a bottle! Or, stack it with a $1 coupon from 2/7 RP or 10/4/09 RP (exp) or a printable and pay $1.99 a bottle!
- 64 oz. Odwalla Juices (fresh carrot or orange) are $2.99 each. Use this $1-off-2 printable and pay $4.98 for 2, or $2.49 each.
- Lucerne 18ct. large eggs are $1.49 with Super Coupon.
- Dominick’s seedless rye bread loaves are $1.19 each with Super Coupon.
- Pampers or Huggies jumbo diapers are $7.99 with Super Coupon, limit 4. Use any of many coupons to make this better. With Pampers, there are ecoupons to stack here too. Load the following Pampers ecoupons from PGEsaver.com to your Dominick’s card: $2 off Pampers Extra Protection, $2.00 off Pampers Cruisers, $2.50 off Pampers Swaddlers AND Sensitive Wipes, $1 off Pampers Swaddlers, $1 off Pampers Easy Ups. Stack this with any Pampers manufacturer coupons you have — they’re in EVERY P&G insert. Highest value ones can be found in these inserts: $2 off – 3/14 RP (exp), 2/21 PG (exp), 12/27/09 PG (exp), 10/25/09 RP (exp), $1.50 off – 4/4 PG, 2/7 PG (exp), 11/29/09 PG (exp), 11/29/09 PG, 11/1/09 PG (exp). With $2 coupon stacked with $2 ecoupon, you could buy a pack of Extra Protection Pampers for $3.99. Good wipes coupon to use here too if you need them: “$2 off 2 Pampers diapers AND wipes” (4/4 PG), “Buy Pampers diapers, get $1 off Pampers wipes” – 10/25/09 RP (exp.). If you have the $3 Huggies printables that were available about a month ago, you could use those here for $4.99 Huggies.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
In the 4/11 SS insert, SOME editions of the Chicago Tribune received a coupon for $5 off Finish Quantumatic dishwasher dispenser in the SS insert.
If you received one and have been looking for a place to spend it, Finish Quantumatic is on sale for $6.49 at Dominick’s for 12 loads. With coupon, you’ll pay $1.49. This isn’t really a fabulous price for just 12 loads of detergent, but if the coupon’s burning a hole in your pocket, it’s “okay.” The only lower price I’ve seen on this was when Meijer had it for $4.99 in April (FREE with the $5 coupon.) Sale is scheduled to run through 6/14.
Would you like some FREE Windex? (Of COURSE you would!) Windex is on sale for $3.50, but it drops to $1.99 a bottle WHEN YOU BUY 4 at a time (this may not be noted on the tags in the store though but it will ring up this way.) Use four $1 Windex coupons (5/9 SS, 3/21 SS, 1/10 SS (exp), printable, another printable, another printable) – pay .99 a bottle and get $4 back in Catalinas! FREE Windex! This deal runs through 5/16.
UPDATE! The 5/9 SS has MORE $1 coupons for Windex in it. Just when you thought you were done..!
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each when you buy 2 or more at a time (through 6/30 – LONG sale!) Buy two and use two of the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP or 10/4/09 RP (exp) and pay just .99!
If you go to Dominick’s, look for cardboard displays with coupon booklets in them:
Make It Tonight – 20% off all Waterfront Bistro seafood products in the same transaction, $.50 off Safeway Select Artisan French Bread, $1.00 off Safeway Select refrigerated pasta or sauce, $1.00 off Eating Right salad. All expire 5/31.
Dominick’s meat deals:
- Fresh chicken leg quarters are .59/lb – CRAZY GOOD PRICE! Time to stock up and freeze these if you’ve got the space…
- Fresh Perdue roasting chickens are $1.69/lb
- Boneless pork shoulder country style ribs are $1.99/lb
- 80% lean ground beef Tavern Burger patties are $1.99/lb.
Dominick’s produce deals:
- Jumbo Vidalia onions are .79/lb
- Extra-large russet potatoes are .79/lb
- Broccoli crowns or cauliflower are .99/lb.
- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $1.50 each
- 2lb. bags of Eating Right baby-cut carrots are $2
AND… if you have the 2010 Entertainment Book, don’t forget that there are four $5 off $50 coupons inside the front cover too. These have staggering dates (two expired in the first quarters of 2010) and the next $5-off-$50 expires 7/31.
If you haven’t ordered the Entertainment Book for this year, it’s also a great buy — Entertainment just reduced these to $15 each with FREE shipping! They do quickly pay for themselves if you like local coupons for restaurants, attractions, and even travel. The Chicago book contains over $18,000 worth of coupons (yes, you read that right!) Worth checking out! Walgreens is still selling these for $25 each, so $15 is a great price.
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, and St. Charles:
Meijer is running their “Buy 10 for $10, get the 11th free” sale again! Mix and match any ten items included in the sale, and the 11th’s free. Best bets?
Old Orchard 100% Juice Concentrates: Use $1-off-4 printables (here and here – print 2 from EACH link) to knock these down to .75 each. For those prices, I’ll happily mix my own 100% juices! If you did an all-juice run, buying 11 would cost you $10 – with 2 coupons, pay $8 – that’s .72 a juice. BUT… if you add a 12th can, you can use a third $1 coupon – still pay $8 but get one extra can, for a total of 12 — that’s .66 each! We haven’t seen these juice concentrates this cheap since the CHILL Catalina sale at Jewel back in March.
McCormickspice Recipe Inspirations or Grinders: Use the $1 coupon from 4/25 RP and they’re FREE! And, they count as one of your “Buy 10, get 11th” items too.
CapriSun is also involved in a Meijer deal this week too. It’s on sale for $1.89. Buy 3 and get one free Kool-Aid Fun Fizz. If you have three $1 coupons from 4/25 SS, pay .89 each and get the free Fun Fizz…
Meijer’s also running a Catalina sale on P&G products (yes, we have seen these ALL over town lately.) Buy $15 worth of any Bounty, Charmin, or Gillette, get $3. Or, buy $25 worth of these products and get $5. These aren’t particularly high-value Catalinas considering what the competition’s done lately, but if you want to dive in, use the Coupon Lookup under “Coupon Tools” on the right side of the page to do your matchups.
Also at Meijer, the SAME “Try Something New, $12/$4” Catalina is running that’s running at Jewel. Use the matchups from above, and here are the prices in the ad:
Edy’s 1.5qt – $2.50
Haagen Dazs 14oz – $2.50
4ct. Drumsticks – $2.50
Ad notes that Skinny Cow and Dibs are also included. However, if you want to play the price spread, you’ll be better off at Jewel for this one.
Meijer meat deals:
- Fresh family packs of chicken drumsticks and thighs are .99/lb
- Meijer 64oz. bags of frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts are $6.99 – that’s $1.75/lb
- Ground chuck beef is $1.89/lb.
Meijer produce deals:
- Vine ripened roma tomatos are .77/lb
- Georgia Vidalia onions are .98/lb
- Chili peppers are $1.97/lb
- 5lb. bags of red potatoes are $2
- 2lb. containers of California strawberries are $2.69 – that’s $1.35/lb.
- Organic strawberries are $2.50/lb
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…
Hilander’s running a “Buy 4, Save $4” instant-savings deal! Mix and match and for every 4 items you buy, you’ll save $4 (the price of each will drop by $1.) Best bets?
Secret Expressions deodorant. They’re $2.50 each when purchased in quantities of 4. You’ll need to buy 2 for this deal, because Hilander’s site has a $3-off-2 ecoupon. Stack this with the .50 coupon from 5/2 PG, which will double to $1. You’ll get $4 in savings on your $5 deodorants, and that makes the cost of each just .50! Now, if you get multiple papers… use another .50 coupon on the second Secret, which also doubles to $1 – and pay ZERO!
Old Spice Body Washes are $2.50 each when purchased in quantities of 4. Buy 2, use a B1G1F coupon from 5/2 PG or 4/18 PG, and stack THAT with the $3-off-2 ecoupon on Hilander’s site. One wash will be free with coupon, and the ecoupon takes off another $3… and you’re in .50 overage. Get paid to take this body wash home! The same deal runs on the Old Spice deodorant (same coupon and ecoupon locations…)
Olay Daily Facials wipes. They’re $3.97 each when purchased in quantities of 4. Use the $2 coupon from 5/2 PG and stack it with the $2 ecoupon on Hilander’s site. With $4 savings on a $3.97 item… it’s FREE!
This is a fun sale!
Non-coupon deal… Kroger eggs are .88/dozen…
Deals continuing from last week:
Speed Stick and Lady Speed Stick deodorant is on sale for $1. Use the .50 coupon from 4/25 SS, doubled to $1, to make this FREE!
Hilander meat deals:
- Honeysuckle turkey breast is .99/lb.
- Boneless pork loin is $1.97/lb.
Hilander produce deals:
- Tomatoes on the vine are $1.88/lb.
- Vidalia onions are $1.88/lb
- 2lbs. of strawberries are $2.88
Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day! You are only allowed to double two of the SAME coupon per day though — additional coupons will ring at face value. (Split your trips if you’re stocking up!)

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Were there no good deals at Target this week or did I just miss them? Sorry if I did :) I’m kind of liking the slower weeks now that YB is over. It was SO nice but I felt like I was at the store ALL the time… and now I’ve got such a stock pile I can be pretty picky on the deals :) Its a nice break for me!

does not seem to be working. It’s even labeled as the unilever deal link even though it’s posted at the end of the conagra deal info. Thanks for all the deals this week!!

Thought I would pass this one along. WAGS has a deal on Infusium $5.99. Use $2.00 in store instant coupon from the WAGS booklet found as soon as you walk in the store stacked with the $3.00 from 5/9 SS and they are .99 cents!

Hi Everyone!
I’m a new couponer and I’ve LOVED this blog! All of your posts are so helpful and all the info that Jill posts is a God-send to our budget! Thanks! I have a question about the Edy’s/Skinny Cow/Drumstick Qs in the May All You mag. I’d like to use them in Jill’s Jewel scenario for the Try Something New Cat, but my Qs state “good only at your local supercenter” at the bottom. Does this mean I can only use them at Wal-Mart?

Does anyone know if V8 Fusion light will work with the buy 5 deal? it is not listed in the ad and I do not shop at Dominicks regularly.
THanks!

I saw it this morning at home and decided to print them at the office…an hour later the coupon was taken off the smartsource site. You definitely reach a far and wide audience.

Went to Jewel today to take advantage of all the catalinas. When I checked out I noticed I was short one so I went to the service desk to inquire. They gave me a number to call. It was the Unilever catalina I was missing. I just went over my receipt, and yes, I had over $20 in Unilever products. Went through the UPC list just to make sure what I had bought was included and come to find out that Degree deodorant is not listed! I bought 2 of those, making me $4 short. Ugh! Will be checking UPC list from now on. I’m fairly new to this so I’m still learning the ins and outs.

The Breyer’s bars and Lipton Recipe Secrets are not on the list for Unilever even though they are pictured.

I did the deal today with the v-8 fusion lite and it worked for me.

Just a Quick note….Wags…Schick Hydro 3 or 5 is ‘a rollin’! Eos doesn’t.
also…if your CVS has self-check-out,(and you have enough razors?) use the $5.00 Q for the refill blades…it works! Get ecb’s back.

Mighty Dog food cans at Jewel are buy 10 for $7.00. I had two get $3.00 off 5 cans coupons from recent inserts from the Chicago Tribune. That is 10 cans for $1.00. Not bad.

Can you get the Shick Quatro razor and EOS shaving cream in one transaction and receive register rewards for both? Or do you do them in separate transactions?

I was at Walgreens today picking up some 0.99 Infusium, when I discovered that there is a $1 off coupon in the Walgreens instore coupon booklet. I added that to the $2 coupon that I had clipped out of the paper (since I’m out of Butt Paste) and got it for $2.99 – a great price for Butt Paste!

Just a quick question what is ConAgra? I keep seeing that there are these deals but I don’t know where to get these coupons and so I’m confused. =)

Doms had boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch for $0.99/box…there are tons of printables out there for $0.55/1…$0.45/box for cereal…not bad

I bought the 4 Multi-Surface Windex at Doms today and it didn’t trigger the CAT…another woman before me bought the same items and no luck for her either. When I was checking out the woman behind told me she bought the same exact thing last week and it triggered the CAT…the deal must be over. P.S. It must have been “Super-Couponing Blogger Day” at the Doms because I swear we were all doing the same thing and everyone was asking the other “do you follow Jill?”

Does th B1G1 Free (getting 2) sale going on for Edy’s count towards the $12.00 for this deal? It would make the total pre-tax over $12.00 if it did…..

Ulta Foods has the big 18oz. boxes of Kellogg’s cereals 4/$6. Use two of the $1 off 2 boxes coupon from coupons.com and it’s 4/$4. At the check out, you get a catalina for $3 off your next purchase…making the cereal 4/$1 or 25 cents a box!!

I’m a little green at this Super Couponing venture and have a few questions.
1. When Jewel has a deal like the one coming up this week (Buy $20 worth of participating General Mills Products get $5), does that mean if I spend $40 I can get $10 or do I have to do these on different transactions?
2. Can I use the Catalina dollars I got previously to pay for the $20 in the above deal and still get the $5 Catalina?
Thanks!

Does anyone who used the printable $1/2 Hellman’s coupon from the first Jewel cat deal know if it’s still working? I tried looking for it just now, and it doesn’t seem to be there, but maybe I am not looking in the right place. Thanks!

Did anyone else have problems trying to use the Baby Basics diaper coupons at Jewel? I was able to use them once this week, but when I went to the Chicago (Clark/Division) Jewel the cashier called the manager and they would not use them. The coupon says “store coupon”, which is why they said they could not accept them. I told the cashier that these diapers are Jewel brand so this is the only “store” that I would be able to purchase this item at. Unfortunately they would not take the coupon. I was so disappointed because it was such a great deal!

I used the free can coupon and the 3.00 off coupon from the 3/28 (which I had found in a Meiijer grocery cart over a month ago WOOHOO) for mighty dog and only paid 80 cents for 6 which if I would have had two of those it would have been as sweet as yours! Thank you for the heads up!

remember the Kraft Back to School 2009? There was a second rebate for 1/1/10 to 6/30/10 and you need 10 Nabisco cookies/crackers, 5 Easy Macs and 5 Capri Suns. The Dominicks deal came in time because the deal last week at Jewel with the Cat as well they were all out and the raincheck would not have worked if the Cat deal was over.

Hi, I’m new to couponing and will be taking your class in June…..but since I have a basic understanding of your program, I have taken advantage of a few things lately.
I went o Meijers the other day to purchase 12 OO Juices using the 4 $1 off 4 coupons. The lady made me buy a 13th one as the “free” one doesn’t count in the coupons….IS THIS RIGHT???? I’m like I purchased it, it just happens to be free….but she said the program on the register was set up to not count it. URG!!!! From what you said, I should have gotten 12 juices for $8.
I must say, I have never had so many issues at Meijers. My store in Ohio, where we just moved from, doubled coupons and was fantastic. The Meijers in Algonquin I have never made it out of that store in a reasonable amount of time without having to go to customer service about inaccurate stuff.
Thanks for your help.

So I can learn going forward…I shopped and then decided to go back in for 3 extra Breyers ice cream, 3 @ 2.88 with 6.69 pref price. No cat. Wondering why it did not work since it was just over 20.00. I did the self check out, could that be why? A random ad printed so I know the machine was working. I scanned my card first.
Thank you!

I don’t know what catalinas are going on at Dominicks right now but something kind of awesome happened yesterday when I was at the Roosevelt location. All I was there for was some Shout Advance which is on sale for about $3. I handed my cashier person a $2 cat from dominicks and a $1 expired cat from jewel (which I was glad to unload), paid the 30 cents in tax and then got handed a new $1 catalina that had just printed. I don’t know if this was a fluke but if anyone is in need of Shout Advance… I am sure there are coupons out there to make it a good deal without using catalinas.

Just stopped into Target to use my Schick coupons since I didn’t get lucky at Walgreens and saw that they have the Finish Quant. on sale for $5. Used the $5 coupon from the 4/11 RP (I think) to make it free. It’s only good for 12 washes so it wasn’t a great deal until the sale and coupon. There were tons on the shelf at the DeKalb Target.
