Hello, Super-Couponers! Ready to enjoy another great week of shopping and saving? Over the past week I taught over three hundred people to coupon, and sometimes my blog readers surprise me with little gifts to say thanks for teaching them how to save… (truly, I expect nothing at all from you guys — I love my “coupon queen” job!) But you’ve got to see the amazing batch of cookies that reader Cookiemom baked for me! Thank you!
A big welcome to our readers from my Orland Park, La Grange and Elburn classes this past week!
This week’s newspaper contained TWO inserts: RedPlum and an ENORMOUS SmartSource.
Ready for your best Deals of the Week? You’ll be taking home a crazy amount of ConAgra products on the cheap, a great Catalina deal on trash bags and charcoal (hey – two products we don’t often see in Catalina deals!), SUPER cheap Oscar Mayer hot dogs, a fabulous barbecue-and-sweet-corn deal, moneymaker salad dressing, FREE paper towels, FREE dishwasher detergent, SUPER cheap baby-back ribs, FREE contact lens solution, FREE hair accessories, and yes, even more FREE body wash! Let’s get started!

If you’re new to my blog, take a quick minute to read Using this site and bring yourself up to speed on all the coupon lingo and abbreviations.
It’s a good idea to save the grocery and drugstore flyers each week to have on hand & refer to too as you go through the deals! And, if you’re new to couponing in general, check out my Super-Couponing® website for a list of coupon classes (most are FREE!) and easy instructions on how to start using coupons effectively!
A note to my non-Midwest readers: While my weekly deals focus on Illinois stores, the Target, Walgreens and CVS deals apply nationally. Deals continuing from previous weeks:
2010 FREEZER DEAL: The remaining coupons in the freezer deal are EXPIRING May 31. Deans Churn Ice Cream and Baldwin ice cream tubs are also B1G1F through May 26th! Get two free! AND, the Culinary Circle Lasagnas are also B1G1F through June 2 (but they’ll expire before then… get TWO free too!
It’s also time though to start clearing room in your freezers to bring home the rest of any food that has not yet gone on sale Buy One, Get One Free since the deal began.
(Yes, we saw a shorter duration of time [Feb-May] to use these coupons up than in years’ past freezer deals… but it’s still the cheapest way to get a chest freezer. Many people have written to ask if they should let these coupons expire and use them at Dominick’s — I would NOT do this. Dominick’s policy on accepting expireds could change at ANY time. Better to get the free food than risk losing it completely.)
We’ve been keeping track of the B1G1F sales for the freezer coupons in this Forum discussion.
Tabasco sauce is on sale for .99. Use the .75 coupon from 5/23 SS and take it home for a quarter, or use the .50 coupon from 4/25 SS and take it home for .49!
Jewel’s house brand of diapers, Baby Basics, are a good buy with coupons! Jumbo packs are $7.99 each. Use these $4 printables here and here and cut that price in half… to $3.99 a jumbo pack of diapers! Jewel also has the value pack (cardboard case) of diapers priced around $16.99 – with coupon, it’s $12.99.
Jewel meat deals:
- Fresh cut bone-in pork shoulder roast is $1.99/lb.
- Jennie-O or Honeysuckke white bone-in turkey breast is $1.99/lb.
- Fresh pork spare ribs are $1.99/lb.
- Perdue fresh turkey burgers or ground chicken is $3.99, B1G1F for a 1lb. package – works out to $2/lb.
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry, or seafood) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices.)
Jewel produce deals:
- Green cabbage is .39/lb.
- California nectarines or white peaches are $1.99/lb.
- Dole pineapples are $2.99 each AND get a free 12oz. bag of Dole mini bananas with your pineapple…
- 8lb. bags of jumbo baking potatoes are $2.99
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
Kicking things off, here’s a fun deal on Ziploc containers! They’re on sale for $1.99 each when you buy 4. You’ll get two $2 Catalinas back when you buy 4 too — that knocks them down to $1 each! Use coupons to make this even better – there are $1.50-off-2 coupons in 5/16 SS, 3/21 SS (exp), 2/21 SS1 (exp), 1/10 SS (exp), 11/15/09 SS (exp). With 2 coupons, pay $4.96 and get $4 back! That’s less than a dollar for FOUR!
Softsoap hand soap pumps are .99. Use this .35 coupon and pay .64…
Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon is on sale for $2.99. Use this $1 printable and pay $1.99! There are also expired .75 coupons for the bacon in 3/21 SS and 11/15/09 SS…
Fresh Express salads are $1. If you still have any of the $1 off any Fresh Express salad coupon from the Jewel Heart coupon book (available in the store in February) use them here for FREE salad. And, if you saved any of the tearpad coupons for “Buy 2 Fresh Express salads, get 2lbs. of free bananas,” this would ALSO be a great time to use them..!
A little juice box deal… Hansen’s Junior Juice 4-packs of juice boxes are .88 each.
$25/$10 Picnic Time Catalina Purchase $25 worth of participating picnic products and get a $10 Catalina! (Through 6/10) Note that the ad and spreadsheet specify that this deal is AFTER all coupons (store, manufacturer, and ecoupon.) This is not true – only store coupons affect the Catalina, meaning the post-store-coupon price is what you’ll use to count to $25. However, if you’re not comfortable doing this deal because of this stipulation, just be aware that if for any reason your Catalina doesn’t print, the store isn’t likely to make it right for you if you use coupons. But, I can verify it’s working fine AND rolling – you can use the $10 Cat you got to buy more paper products. This is a NICE deal especially for those of you looking to stock up on trash bags and charcoal – two items that are at seasonal cycle lows right now! Here is your list of products and matchups: Brawny Big Roll print paper towels Clorox Wipes (fresh and lemon scent) Dixie Heavy Duty 9″ and 10″ paper plates Dixie Grilling plates Dixie napkins rainbow pack Dixie paper plates Dixie Ultra bowls Dixie Ultra strong plates Dixie Ultra plates value pack Glad zipper storage and freezer bags Gladware containers Glad 13-gallon white kitchen trash bags Glad 30-gallon black trash bags Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressings Kingsford Charcoal Briquettes (original or mesquite) Kingsford Match Light Charcoal Briquettes (original or mesquite) Vanity Fair All Occasion napkins Vanity Fair Insular Cups with lids Vanity Fair Everyday bowls Vanity Fair Dinner plates |
If you’re a UPC list person, you can find a full listing of included products here (Thanks to SlickDeals!)
Ready for some scenarios?
The Big Time Charcoal Stock-Up Deal
Buy 5 bags of Kingsford Charcoal – $4.99 each
Buy 1 Glad, 1 KC Masterpiece, and 1 Hidden Valley Ranch product
Pay $24.96 and get $10 back! That’s $14.95 for 5 bags of charcoal ($2.99 each bag) plus the other goodies!
With 5 of the $1 Kingsford coupons from the current Jewel ad, pay $19.96 and get $10 back – that knocks it to $1.99 a bag, plus the other freebies.
——————————
The Trash Bag Stock-Up Deal
Buy 3 Glad Trash Bags ($5.49 each with Super Coupon)
Buy 1 Glad Trash Bag ($6.49 each as Super-Coupon only covers first 3 boxes)
Buy 1 Dixie plates or bowls ($3.49 each – a filler to get over $25)
Pre-coupon total: $26.45
Use .55 coupon for Dixie, pay $25.90 and get $10 back. $15.90 for 4 boxes of trash bags is $3.97 each – not terrible at all, as trash bags are just one of those things that are hard to get free.
UPDATE! Just FOUR Glad Trash bags (3 at $5.49 and 1 at $6.49) is ringing enough to get you over $25 – they are ringing on regular prices, a RARITY for Doms. So, you can pay $22.96 and get $10 back, with no coupons – $12.96 for 4 is $3.24 each – not bad at all.
——————————
A Charcoal AND Trash Bags Deal
Let’s use the Gather Round the Grill Kingsford/Glad coupon here!
Buy 2 Kingsford Charcoal ($4.99 each)
Buy 3 Glad Trash Bags ($5.49 each with Super Coupon)
Pre-coupon total: $26.45
Use two $1 Kingsford coupons from current Jewel ads and two “Buy Kingsford, get Glad free up to $3” coupons.
Pay $18.45 and get $10 back! $8.45 for 2 charcoal AND 3 trash bags? That’s the best buy of all.
As usual, there are some Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. Best bets?
- Glad Trash Bags are $5.49 each with Super Coupon, limit 3. DOUBLE DIPS with $25/$10 Catalina deal above!
- Edy’s Ice Cream 1.5qt. cartons are $2.49 with Super Coupon, limit 3. Stack this with the $1 manufacturer coupon from 1/31 SS and pay $1.49 each! There’s also a “$1-off-2” coupon in the current Jewel flyer. With this, buy 2 and pay $1.99 each…
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
In the 4/11 SS insert, SOME editions of the Chicago Tribune received a coupon for $5 off Finish Quantumatic dishwasher dispenser in the SS insert.
If you received one and have been looking for a place to spend it, Finish Quantumatic is on sale for $$4.99 at Dominick’s for 12 loads. With coupon…FREE! It’s also on sale for $5 at Target — another option if you’re looking to use up this coupon.
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each when you buy 2 or more at a time (through June 30 – LONG sale!) Buy two and use two of the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP or 10/4/09 RP (exp) and pay just .99!
If you go to Dominick’s, look for displays with coupon booklets in them:
Make It Tonight – 20% off all Waterfront Bistro seafood products in the same transaction, $.50 off Safeway Select Artisan French Bread, $1.00 off Safeway Select refrigerated pasta or sauce, $1.00 off Eating Right salad. All expire 5/31/10.
Shrek-Tacluar Savings – $10 worth of General Mills coupons – all expire 6/13/10.

Add Dairy to your Summer Adventure – $26 worth of manufacturer AND store coupons for many dairy products, expiring 7/14-7/24/10

- 93% lean ground beef is $1.99/lb.
Dominick’s produce deals:
- Fresh green beans are $1.49/lb.
- Eating Right baby-cut carrots are $1.50 for a 1lb. bag
AND… if you have the 2010 Entertainment Book, don’t forget that there are four $5 off $50 coupons inside the front cover too. These have staggering dates (two expired in the first quarters of 2010) and the next $5-off-$50 expires 7/31.
If you haven’t ordered the Entertainment Book for this year, it’s also a great buy — Entertainment just reduced these to $15 each with FREE shipping! They do quickly pay for themselves if you like local coupons for restaurants, attractions, and even travel. Coupons I like – $20 off any American Airlines flight for up to 6 tickets, coupons for free weekend rentals for just about every rental car company out there, 15% off any Menards item (great for a BIG purchase!), $5 off at Ace Hardware, $10 gameplay at Dave & Busters and Gameworks, Buy One, Get One Free meals at TGI Fridays, lots of $5-off-$15 and $10-off-$20 restaurant coupons, B1G1F Domino’s pizza, free Auntie Anne’s pretzel, free Cold Stone Creamery ice cream… lots of good stuff. The Chicago book contains over $18,000 worth of coupons (yes, you read that right!) Worth checking out! Walgreens is still selling these for $25 each, so $15 is a great price.
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, and St. Charles:
Super HOT Oscar Mayer hot dog deal! Oscar Mayer hot dogs are on sale for $1.25 each. When you buy 4, you’ll also get a free package of Meijer white or low fat wheat hot dog buns FREE! And wait until you see the coupon deal we’re going to work on this one. Print 2 $1-off-2 manufacturer coupons and then print two Meijer STORE coupons, also for $1-off-2 Oscar Mayer! Are you stacking and doing the math yet? You’re down to just a QUARTER for four packages of Oscar Mayer hot dogs AND a free package of buns! Just in time for a Memorial Day cookout! :)
Reader Judi Cookie spotted a great deal on barbecue sauce AND corn on the cob! Buy 3 bottles of either Kraft or Bull’s Eye barbecue sauce between now and June 16th and get EIGHT FREE ears of corn on the cob! But you’ll want to do this deal THIS week, because Bull’s Eye barbecue sauce is on sale for $1.50 a bottle through Wednesday… AND there are Meijer STORE coupons for $1 off Bull’s Eye! WOO HOO! Print 3, buy 3 bottles AND 8 ears of corn for $1.50! And, you can use that cheap barbecue sauce on some fabulously cheap baby back ribs that we’ll pick up later in this week’s edition of Deals…
Here’s a Catalina deal on Kraft Salad Dressing! It’s on sale for $1.89 a bottle this week. Use the .55 coupon from 5/2 SS and stack it with a $1 Meijer STORE coupon! You’ll pay .34 a bottle.
Now, that’s good, but this is BETTER… Kraft dressings are also part of a national Catalina deal..!
Purchase 3 Kraft Salad Dressings, Receive $2 OYNO
Purchase 4 Kraft Salad Dressings, Receive $3 OYNO

Meijer’s also running a $25/$7 Catalina deal. Buy $25 worth of Bounty, Charmin or Tide, get a $7 Catalina. This one’s not super-hot, especially since we’ve seen so many deals on these just within the past month. But if you need them…

- Georgia vidalia onions are .77/lb.
- Fresh asparagus is $1.49/lb.
- Idaho russet potatoes are $1.50 for a 5lb. bag
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…
Oscar Mayer bologna and salami is very cheap with coupons! It’s on sale for .88 a package. Use the $1-off-2 coupon from 5/16 SS or a printable, buy 2 and pay .38 each!
Kroger eggs are .77 a dozen…
Deals continuing from last week:
McCormick GrillMates seasoning mixes are on sale AGAIN! This time, they’re on sale for $1.25 each. Use the $1 coupon from 4/25 RP, or the .50 coupon from 4/18 RP, which will double to $1, and you’ll pay just a quarter!
Hilander meat deals:
- Boneless pork loin is $1.97/lb.

- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $1.77
- Peaches are $1.99/lb.
Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day! You are only allowed to double two of the SAME coupon per day though — additional coupons will ring at face value. (Split your trips if you’re stocking up!)
Readers outside Illinois will want to check with their local Kroger or Kroger-affiliated stores to determine how they handle coupon doubling.

SuperTarget meat deals:
- Hormel Tender Baby Back Ribs are $1.79/lb. – SUPER SUPER HOT price! Limit 6, no rainchecks. This WILL likely be the cheapest we see these until July or so – snap them up!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Also at Jewel this week, if you spend $50 or more you get a catalina for 10% off OYNO. (Should be easy with the CONagra cat deal!) It’s on the front of Jewel’s ad (from Thurs) Hopefully it’s based on PRE-coupon.
Unrelated… stopped for milk yesterday at Jewel and the lady in front of me had a stack of coupons… after she paid she eagerly asked “did my coupons print????” the cashier was like, “They’re coming… $10… 10%off too! Wow you planned ahead!” SO of course I asked if she followed this site – she didn’t but was with a friend who coupons & helps her. Gave her the site, hopefully she’ll visit! I think I need to print some of those handouts :)

At the DeKalb Walgreens, there is a big display of the toothpaste at the front of the store, but I walked to the back to get a $1 off coupon out of the Diabetes brochure in the pharmacy. So, I picked up my toothpaste off the actual shelf as I walked back. On the shelf, they had several tubes that also included a free travel size toothpaste.

Jill, a few questions: How many Mealbox Qs are you allowed to print and where is that recipe for Blasted Chicken? Sounds good, but I don’t see it. Oh, also, there is no printable Q for Noxzeema on RP.com, and I have a little slide for kids to give away, am I alowed to post that in Off topic?

When I was at Jewel today, I picked up 4 – 12 packs of coke products for $9.00 (good until 5/26) with preferred card. I saw a tear pad near the floral dept. that said $2.00 off 2-12 packs of coke with a floral purchase. They have a bunch of flowers for $1.00 each (including 2 packs of roses). Then I went to the hot dog area and found another tear pad that gave a free package of Hillshire farms smoked sausage (on sale for $2.79) with a purchase of 4-12 pack of coke/minute maid products.
So with the coupons, I ended up with:
4-12 packs of diet coke for $7.00
2 packs of roses (free)
1 package of Hillshire farm smoked sausage (free)
Since I was going in for soda anyway, I was a very happy camper with these ‘bonuses’.

You had to send in receipts for previous purchases and they mailed the coupon book. It isn’t available in any store.

I LOVE Mondays! (Never thought I’d say that until using Jill’s site!) I had an interesting experience at Dom’s today. First of all, I did the Charcoal/trashbags deal and the cashir alsmost didn’t accept my buy charcoal get 3.00 off Glad product. He first told me they were fraudulent and then told me I could only use one internet coupon per transaction. After I assured him they were NOT fraudulent because I got them off of the company’s own site and after he took a few trips back to customer service, he allowed me to use them. I was happy I didn’t have to dump my whole transaction. My surprise today was that I grabbed 4 Hamburger Helpers which became $1 a box when you buy 4 and when I rang them up 2 e-coupons came off for 75 cents each and I also had a 75 cents off coupon when you buy three so that brought it down to $1.75 for 4 boxes. I thought that was a prety good deal.
All in all I got: 4 HH, 2 charcoal, 3 Glad trashbags (13 gallon), 4 ziplock packages, and 1 softsoap for 29.39 and received $14.00 in Cats back. Not bad for $15. 39.

I bought 2 charcoal and 3 Glad trash bags. The cashier is happy to take 2 FREE Glad product wyb Kingsford coupons but refused to take the $1 coupon for the charcoal because the FREE coupon is attached to two items. He even asked his manager. My Dom is pretty coupon friendly. That is why I am a little disappointed that they didn’t take the $1 coupon. Oh well. I still like my Dominick’s.

The nitrate free hot dogs worked for me today.
Also at Meijer in Naperville, their clearance booze is pretty good. I got some DeKuypers Peach Schnapps, Apple Pucker and some other apple booze for $3.10 each. They also had Effen Raspberry for $8.XX.

I’m new here. I’d like to thank the nice young lady at the Walgreens out in Merrilville, IN for referring me. I will be sharing my great deals here with all you folks. Believe me I clean up. I find that Jewel and Dominick’s prices are extremely high. Sometimes more than 3 times what it costs in stores like Food 4 Less, Ultra Foods and several of the dollar stores. Ultra Foods often runs a 12 for $10 promotion. Last year Tuna Pouches were at 12 for $10. I had coupons for 1$ off and was actually paid $2 for the my purchase minus tax. Ultra is excellent. I recently Bought dishwashing detergent from Family Dollar. The Dawn was $ .80 and i had $.50 off and got 14 bottles and paid $.30 a piece.
Currently Hunts Ketchup is $1 @ Food 4 Less i found coupons in the paper a few weeks back for $.20 off thats $.80 a piece.
Green Giant Bag in a box is 10 for $10 or $1 a piece i have coupons for $.40 off and that comes out to $.60 per box
Hidden Valley ranch is 2 for $4 and I have $2 off coupons that makes it free. The coupon is expired but these stores accept coupons 30 days after expiration and sometimes even 60 days.
More Deals to follow.

I’m not sure what happened when I bought 5 bottles of Kraft dressing…..I only got a $3 cat for it not $4 like what is posted on the site. I did use 5 Meijer’s coupons for $1 off plus 2 – .55 ones as well. Still a good good deal, but I should have gotten $1 more on my cat. I couldn’t find anything about that deal in their ad so I could have gone to CS about it. Any thoughts?

I am a little confused. I was very excited to get the register rewards from Walgreens yesterday on the contact solution and the Goody hair clips…I used the three dollar Goody RR imediately on some All laundry soap. I took the $8 rewards to Meijer intending to use it against my grocery bill. The cashier said that they would not accept it and would not be reimbursed even if they did. I was under the impression that because it says “manufactuer coupon” vs “store coupon” I could use it anywhere, and not just at Walgreens. I told her that and between her and her manager they both denied me using it. I told them to put the milk and eggs back and take them off my order. I would go back to Walgreens and buy them there.
Clarification on this rule would be great, I am wanting to do the contact solution deal again, seeing as I just found $2 more in coupons for the solution and I am hoping to find more boxes with the $1 off peelies again!
Thank you in advance.

The ConAgra deal at Jewel in the ad says: “Limit one transaction per customer”. Is this tracked by Preferred card?, or can you leave, come back and do it again. Thanks

Please forgive me if this has been asked before.
I purchased 2 packages of Huggies @ Walgreen’s. I had 2 $3 Huggies coupons & 2 RR. They said I can only use one mfr coupon per item, RR being a mfr coupon. I thought RR were like cash. Is this correct?
thanks!!

Target has marked their 40oz bottles of Heinz ketchup down to $1 for a limited time.
Use the $1 manufacturer’s coupon from the Jewel sale flyer and the ketchup is free!!
The Jewel coupon expires tomorrow, 5/26, so you’ll have to hurry but I did this deal at lunch today, ran to Jewel for more sale papers, and went back to Target tonight! Worked both times.

He can’t believe it.
Seriously.
My fiancé’s son wants “proof”!
“It’s only $2.” How many times have you heard that from your child? So, we are trying hard to explain JUST HOW FAR $2 can go.
I told him that last month I got $60 worth of Orville Redenbacker popcorn and JEWEL PAID ME to take it out of the store.
Nope. He wasn’t believing it. Prove it. So, I will. I’ll wait for a MONEYMAKER – simple stacking plus Catalina deal, hand him my Preferred card and watch his eyes bulge out.
I can’t wait. Meanwhile, I’ll listen to the FOOD 4 LESS, Aldi’s, and Wal-Mart commercials on the radio and laugh because their prices are NO WHERE NEAR what I take home by stockpiling and using Jill’s site as a reference.
All the best,
DanaMc

The Westchester Dominick’s is completely UNAWARE of the Con-Agra Picnic Time deal. I did my other deals separately, which worked well, then I bought 5 of the Glad trash bags which even with the Super Saver coupon which came to over $29.
No Cat printed. So, I went to the S.C. and said that I was trying to participate in the “Con-Agra Picnic Time Promotion where you buy $25 and get a $10 Catalina back. Could you please check this UPC to be sure it’s on the list?”
She flips through the ad quickly, says I don’t know anything about that. We aren’t running that. I said, actually, Jewel and Dominick’s both are. Maybe it’s next week, she says. No, it’s today, I say politely.
Manager comes up and S.C. person actually says, “Do we have a whatever deal with a $10 coupon?” Her words – A “WHATEVER” DEAL.
I politely repeat the Con-Agra specifics to the manager. He says he doesn’t know anything about it. She says we had that a month ago. I said, yes. And, there’s another one. The manager flips through the ad. Nothing. He says there’s no deal. She again says again, “Oh, that was a month ago.”
So, what would you have done?
I nicely asked for my money back.
Yet…
Is there “proof” out there someplace that I can bring the manager that the deal is going on? He is open to me bringing something to him. But, until he sees it, there’s no deal running. Thanks.

Can’t find anywhere in this week’s CVS ad that says Combos are .99 – went to the store to do the deal anyway, (thought maybe I just missed something), and there were no sale tags on the pegs, so I put a bag thru the scanner. Scanned for $2.19. The cashier didn’t know anything about them being on sale and we both looked thru the flyer and couldn’t find it. Anybody have any luck with this one? My husband loves these!
