Hello, Super-Couponers, and Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. It’s important to remember that this holiday is also our time to remember all the brave members of the armed forces fighting on our behalf and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I’m so proud of those currently serving, and I know we have many military families on the blog here as well with spouses, children, and themselves who currently are or have been in the service as well. A sincere thank you to all as we remember you and yours today.
A big welcome to our readers from my Oak Forest and West Chicago classes this past week!
This week’s newspaper contained one insert: A tiny General Mills. Why? Well, we typically have NO coupons during a week in which a holiday occurs. Why? Because shoppers’ habits around holidays are such that people stock up on food for family gatherings… and then, statistically, they don’t go to the store much the week after because they’re eating food left over from the holiday! As most coupon shoppers use their coupons the week they get them, when not many people go to the store… many manufacturers have decided it’s not worth putting any or many coupons in the paper during the week after a holiday. That said, my Super-Couponers know that saving the entire coupon insert, intact, each week means that we always have lots of coupons to draw from… even during a “slow” week!
And, even though it’s a slow week for coupons and sales, if you’re in the vicinity of a Dominick’s, it’s absolutely worth running in to grab a couple “Add Dairy to your Summer Adventure” coupon books! These are GREAT books filled with high-value coupons that line up to some great sales right now… more on those in a bit.
Ready for your best Deals of the Week? You may enjoy .19 Suave deodorant, .50 Thomas English Muffins, FREE Weber Grill Seasonings, lots of Kraft products on the cheap, FREE Tide Stain Release, .25 Ziploc Containers, .49 Smart Balance half-gallons of milk, .04 Fiber One Yogurt 4-packs, super-cheap Sobe LifeWater, FREE Reach Toothbrushes and Floss, FREE vitamins, FREE toothpaste, MONEYMAKER Ecotrin Aspirin, FREE Ban deodorant … so let’s get started!

If you’re new to my blog, take a quick minute to read Using this site and bring yourself up to speed on all the coupon lingo and abbreviations.
It’s a good idea to save the grocery and drugstore flyers each week to have on hand & refer to too as you go through the deals! And, if you’re new to couponing in general, check out my Super-Couponing® website for a list of coupon classes (most are FREE!) and easy instructions on how to start using coupons effectively!
A note to my non-Midwest readers: While my weekly deals focus on Illinois stores, the Target, Walgreens and CVS deals apply nationally. And, if you’re shopping at a SuperValu, Safeway, or Kroger-owned store, you may find similar sales to our Jewel, Dominick’s, and Hilander deals. Welcome, and enjoy!

If you didn’t stock up on free Suave deodorant in March and April when it was part of the great YourBucks Catalina sale at Jewel, here’s another chance to get it very, very cheap! Suave deodorant is on sale for $1.69 each. Use this $3-off-2 printable, buy 2 and pay .38 for 2, or .19 each! Remember, you can print 2 coupons here too, so for under a buck, you’ll have FOUR deodorants!

PLEASE remember not to be greedy and take an exorbitant amount of these coupons — they’ll be in hot demand as it is.
I’ve also spotted the same tearpad at Dominick’s too within the past week.

But if you’re a multiple-inserts person, here’s a fabulous deal involving the Dole Sensations juice blends. They’re $2.49 each. Buy 5 and use five $1 coupons from either 4/18 RP (EXPIRES TODAY, MAY 31) and/or 5/2 SS Espanol (expires 6/13). With 5 coupons, pay $7.45 and get a $5 Catalina back! $2.45 for 5 Dole juices is .49 a carton! And, these have no HFCS in them — always a bonus. Thanks to Audz12 for spotting the Dole deal.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
LAST DAY FOR 2010 FREEZER DEAL: The remaining coupons in the freezer deal are EXPIRING TODAY, May 31. The Culinary Circle Lasagnas and McCain Potatoes are currently on sale B1G1F – get TWO free! Note too that some of the Jewel house brand ice cream products have been re-branded to the “Stone Ridge Creamery” and “Shopper’s Value” brands (ice cream cones and ice cream cups, respectively.)
(Many people have written to ask if they should let these coupons expire and use them at Dominick’s — I would NOT do this. Dominick’s policy on accepting expireds could change at ANY time. Better to get the free food than risk losing it completely.)
Jewel’s house brand of diapers, Baby Basics, are a good buy with coupons! Jumbo packs are $7.99 each. Use these $4 printables here and here and cut that price in half… to $3.99 a jumbo pack of diapers! Jewel also has the value pack (cardboard case) of diapers priced around $16.99 – with coupon, it’s $12.99.
Jewel meat deals:
- Fresh chicken thighs or drumsticks are $1.49/lb.
- Perdue fresh whole chicken fryers are $1.49/lb
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry, or seafood) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices.)
Jewel produce deals:
- Fresh sweet corn is .18 an ear
- Vidalia onions are .98/lb
- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $1.48 each
- Red or green seedless grapes are $1.99/lb.
- California peaches or nectarines are $1.99/lb.
- Fresh tomatoes on the vine are $1.99/lb
- 2lb. bags of Wild Harvest organic carrots are $1.99
- Whole seedless watermelons are $3.48, limit 2 – we’ll see better prices on these once summer hits, but this early in the season, this isn’t too bad.
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
Did you notice we actually have THREE active Dominick’s flyers for this week: “Low Prices on Everything for Memorial Day,” “Fire Up the Grill,” and “2 Day Sale – Memorial Day.” The last one cracked me up because the back page of the flyer states, “Prices effective 6am Sunday, May 30 through midnight, Saturday June 5, 2010.” (Could you be more confusing, Dominick’s?)
TODAY ONLY! Lay’s Kettle Chips are on sale for $1.88 a bag. Use the $1 coupon from the June All You and pay .88! Again, note that this is a Memorial Day only sale.
As usual, there are some Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. Best bets?
- Tide Stain Release is FREE this week after this great coupon deal! Head to www.pgesaver.com and load the $3 ecoupon for Tide Stain Release. Cut the $3 coupon for Tide Stain Release from 5/2 PG. Stack those with the $5.99 Super Coupon in the weekly Dominick’s ad — and with $6 in coupon value on a $5.99 item… it’s FREE!
- Oscar Mayer hot dogs are .99 with Super Coupon, limit 5. Use any of many $1-off-2 coupons for Oscar Mayer and take these home for .50 each! Coupons: printable, 5/16 SS
- Dixie Plates or napkins are $2.99 each, limit 2. Overlaps with Picnic Time Catalina.
- Lucerne 18ct. eggs are $1.49 with Super Coupon.
- Lucerne butter is $1.99 for a 16oz. package with Super Coupon.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
Here’s a fun deal on Ziploc containers! They’re on sale for $1.99 each when you buy 4. You’ll get two $2 Catalinas back when you buy 4 too — that knocks them down to $1 each! Use coupons to make this even better – there are $1.50-off-2 coupons in 5/16 SS, 3/21 SS (exp), 2/21 SS1 (exp), 1/10 SS (exp), 11/15/09 SS (exp). With 2 coupons, pay $4.96 and get $4 back! That’s less than a dollar for FOUR! This one’s scheduled to run through 6/18.
$25/$10 Picnic Time Catalina Purchase $25 worth of participating picnic products and get a $10 Catalina! (Through 6/10) Note that the ad and spreadsheet specify that this deal is AFTER all coupons (store, manufacturer, and ecoupon.) This is not true – only store coupons affect the Catalina, meaning the post-store-coupon price is what you’ll use to count to $25. However, if you’re not comfortable doing this deal because of this stipulation, just be aware that if for any reason your Catalina doesn’t print, the store isn’t likely to make it right for you if you use coupons. But, I can verify it’s working fine AND rolling – you can use the $10 Cat you got to buy more paper products. This is a NICE deal especially for those of you looking to stock up on trash bags and charcoal – two items that are at seasonal cycle lows right now! Here is your list of products and matchups: Brawny Big Roll print paper towels Clorox Wipes (fresh and lemon scent) Dixie Heavy Duty 9″ and 10″ paper plates Dixie Grilling plates Dixie napkins rainbow pack Dixie paper plates Dixie Ultra bowls Dixie Ultra strong plates Dixie Ultra plates value pack Glad zipper storage and freezer bags Gladware containers Glad 13-gallon white kitchen trash bags Glad 30-gallon black trash bags Hidden Valley Ranch salad dressings Kingsford Charcoal Briquettes (original or mesquite) Kingsford Match Light Charcoal Briquettes (original or mesquite) Vanity Fair All Occasion napkins Vanity Fair Insular Cups with lids Vanity Fair Everyday bowls Vanity Fair Dinner plates |
If you’re a UPC list person, you can find a full listing of included products here (Thanks to SlickDeals!)
Ready for some scenarios?
The Big Time Charcoal Stock-Up Deal
Buy 5 bags of Kingsford Charcoal – $4.99 each
Buy 1 Glad, 1 KC Masterpiece, and 1 Hidden Valley Ranch product
With 3 Gather Round The Grill coupons for the freebies, pay $24.96 and get $10 back! That’s $14.95 for 5 bags of charcoal ($2.99 each bag) plus the other goodies!
With 5 of the $1 Kingsford coupons from the current Jewel ad, pay $19.96 and get $10 back – that knocks it to $1.99 a bag, plus the other freebies.
——————————
The Trash Bag Stock-Up Deal
4 Glad Trash Bags ($6.49)
Pay $25.96 and get $10 back. $15.96 for 4 boxes of trash bags is $3.99 each – not terrible at all, as trash bags are just one of those things that are hard to get free.
In the 4/11 SS insert, SOME editions of the Chicago Tribune received a coupon for $5 off Finish Quantumatic dishwasher dispenser in the SS insert.
If you received one and have been looking for a place to spend it, Finish Quantumatic is on sale for $$4.99 at Dominick’s for 12 loads. With coupon…FREE!
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each when you buy 2 or more at a time (through June 30 – LONG sale!) Buy two and use two of the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP or 10/4/09 RP (exp) and pay just .99!
If you go to Dominick’s, look for displays with coupon booklets in them:
Shrek-Tacluar Savings – $10 worth of General Mills coupons – all expire 6/13/10
O Organics – brochure card with “$1 off any O Organics Item” coupons in the store, expiring 12/31/10! These are GREAT coupons for products like organic milk and produce
$25 May and/or June Coupon Book – $25 worth of manufacturer coupons for many products, expiring 6/1-6/30/10
Add Dairy to your Summer Adventure – $26 worth of manufacturer AND store coupons for many dairy products, expiring 7/14-7/24/10
Dominick’s meat deals:
- Fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs are $1.99/lb.
- Fresh chicken drumsticks, thighs or leg quarters are $1.29/lb.
- St.Louis style pre-marinated and cooked smokehouse red ribs are $5.99 a slab with Super Coupon. If you printed any $2 off coupons for the ribs from Dominicks.com in previous weeks, this would be an excellent week to use them.
Dominick’s produce deals:
- Yellow, white and bi-color corn is .20 an ear
- Vidalia onions are .99/lb.
AND… if you have the 2010 Entertainment Book, don’t forget that there are four $5 off $50 coupons inside the front cover too. These have staggering dates (two expired in the first quarters of 2010) and the next $5-off-$50 expires 7/31.
If you haven’t ordered the Entertainment Book for this year, it’s also a great buy — Entertainment just reduced these to $15 each with FREE shipping! They do quickly pay for themselves if you like local coupons for restaurants, attractions, and even travel. The Chicago book contains over $18,000 worth of coupons (yes, you read that right!) Worth checking out! Walgreens is still selling these for $25 each, so $15 is a great price.
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, and St. Charles:
16oz. Coffee-Mate is on sale for .99. If you have the $1 coupons from the “Add Dairy to Your Summer Adventure” coupon book found at Dominick’s, they’re FREE! There are also .75 off – printables on Coffee-Mate’s site that will make these just .24. Thanks to reader Jewelover for spotting this deal…
UPDATE: This may NOT start until Thursday in this market – one of our regular readers, Prea, went to check it out today. It could be an IN/MI deal at this point…
Aunt Millie’s bread, hot dog or hamburger buns are on sale for $2.69, Buy One Get TWO free! Use coupons to make this even better. Some editions of the paper have .55 off coupons for Aunt Millie’s in 5/16 RP and 4/18 RP.
Ball Park Franks are on sale for .79 a package. Buy 2 and use the .75-off-2 coupon from 5/2 RP. You’ll pay .84 for 2, or .42 each!
Half-gallons of Smart Balance milk are a steal! They’re on sale for $2.99. Use the $1.50 manufacturer coupon from 5/23 RP and stack it with the $1 Meijer store coupon on mealbox.meijer.com. You’ll pay .49 a carton after all coupons!
Deals continuing from past weeks:
Here’s a deal on barbecue sauce AND corn on the cob! Buy 3 bottles of either Kraft or Bull’s Eye barbecue sauce between now and June 16th and get EIGHT FREE ears of corn on the cob! There are also Meijer STORE coupons for $1 off Bull’s Eye! Print 3, buy 3 bottles AND 8 ears of corn are free…

- Florida sweet corn is .19 an ear
- California apricots are .99/lb.
- Asparagus is $1.69/lb.
- 2lb. containers of strawberries are $2.99 – that’s $1.50/lb.
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…
Honestly, Hilander is REALLY light on deals this week, which isn’t at all unusual in a week following a holiday.
Chi-Chi’s Salsa is on sale for $1 a jar. Use the $1-off-2 coupon from 5/23 SS, buy 2 and pay $1 for 2, or .50 each…
Deals continuing from last week:
McCormick GrillMates seasoning mixes are on sale AGAIN! This time, they’re on sale for $1.25 each. Use the $1 coupon from 4/25 RP, or the .50 coupon from 4/18 RP, which will double to $1, and you’ll pay just a quarter!

- Chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.19/lb.
- Pork chops are $1.79/lb.
- Pork steak or Western-style pork ribs are $1.79/lb.

- 16oz. tubs of strawberries are $2
Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day! You are only allowed to double two of the SAME coupon per day though — additional coupons will ring at face value. (Split your trips if you’re stocking up!)
Readers outside Illinois will want to check with their local Kroger or Kroger-affiliated stores to determine how they handle coupon doubling.
Here’s a fun deal on Fiber One Yogurt! It’s part of a “Buy 5, get a $5 Target Gift Card” deal. Fiber One Yogurt 4-packs are priced at $2.04 at most stores. With coupons, this becomes an amazing deal! Ideally, we want to use a $1 coupon for each of our 5 packages. Print 2 $1 coupons here. And then, print another 2 $1 coupons here. If you have access to another computer, a fifth $1 coupon sweetens this perfectly, but if not, the 5/16 SS has a .50 coupon too.
With five $1 coupons, you’ll pay $5.20 and get a $5 gift card! .20 for 5 4-pack yogurts is .04 each! With four $1 coupons and one .50 coupon, you’ll pay $5.70 and get $5 back — .70 for 4 4-packs is .14 each! WOW!
Sobe LifeWater is a good deal this week. It’s on sale for $1 a bottle. Buy 10 bottles and get a $5 Target gift card! Let’s use coupons to make this even better… print two Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupons. Then print a .50 off Target coupon. With these 3 coupons, pay $7.50 and get $5 back – $2.50 for 10 bottles of SoBe is .25 each!
If you have access to multiple computers, with 4 manufacturer coupons, pay $5.50 and get $5 back… .50 for 10 is .5 each… and you get the idea :)
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
SOME editions of the 5/16 RP contained a Target store coupon for $1 off any Bounty paper towels. Single rolls of Bounty Basic sell for .99 at most Targets! Get a roll free!
Target has launched mobile Target coupons which you can load to your phone. They are Target store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with. Load coupons here. You can also print these offers by going to www.target.com/save and entering your phone number.

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

I couldn’t find any Fiber One coupons on Coupons.com and the 2nd link has reached its print limit. Jill, thanks for all of the great deals.

Where do you find these coupon books at Dominick’s. Are they on a display? In front of a shelf like blinkies? At the entrance? I have looked a couple times and even asked at customer service once. Customer service was not any help.

Does anybody know where i can find the Weber Grill Seasoning packets? I couldn’t find them at my jewel. I looked in the seasoning and taco seasoning section of the store.

The May 2010 booklet from Dominick’s has a 2.00 manu coupon for Ecotrin which expires today! Use it at Walgreens to make it a moneymaker.

I did an Ecotrin with the $2 coupon and a Reach toothbrush with a $1 coupon together (Our Wags now only allows one RR deal per trip in the store so we are going cautiously with the deals.) There was no place for the extra penny to go on the Reach toothbrush so the coupon was denied. I asked if the clerk, (who is coupon friendly), could adjust the price down and she said that she couldn’t on a manufacturer’s coupon. If I had had someplace for the extra penny to go would the coupon have gone through?

Jill- I’m confused. Went to Jewel, Price checked the Weber seasoning. Coming up 1.60 – .60 w/ card. Not BIGIF. Am I reading it wrong? Is this something that is starting Thurs?? I just purchased the following and did not receive the $5 coupon
3 Simply Orange Juices and 2 cheese heads.
When I went and looked on the website http://www.easyhomemeals.com, the Simply Orange Juice is not listed on their list.
We only like the Simply Orange Juice anyway so we will drink it just the same but just wanted to let others know so they are not suprised too.

I went to Meijer today and bought 3 packages of hamburger buns and 3 loaves of bread. I had 6 coupons. Interestingly, two coupons went through and took off .55 cents each. The next two went through but took off 0.00. The cashier said it was because I only bought two and the rest were free. I believe they all should have gone through, but I didn’t have the energy to have that discussion with the cashier.

The Smart Balance milk at Meijer didn’t come up 2.99, but at the regular $3.99 price. I bought it anyway since it was still a decent price with q’s and we needed milk. And the Finish at Dom’s scanned at 9.99 and there were no sales tags to indicate otherwise. Kinda makes me wonder if they read your blog and then raise prices, lol

I loaded the ecoupon, then went to the store and it didn’t show up on the register? I had him scan my coupons to see if it would come out to be free and the total was at $3.42. He even rescanned my Dominicks card. Does it take a certain time period for the ecoupon to load? Online, it says that it is waiting to be redeemed?? I was bummed. Any suggestions as to why it didn’t work? Thanks.

I THINK I had read somewhere that if you buy 3 Neutrogena products at Wags, you get back a $10 RR. Anyone know if this is true?

Nabisco 100 Snack is offering two printable coupons Buy one, get one free if you ‘like’ the product on Facebook. That with two $1.00 coupons satisfys half of the $25.00 needed at Jewel and you pay just under $4.00 out of pocket.
Enjoy…

If I want to purchase ten items off the dairy cat list will I get 2 $5 catalina’s or do I have to do it in two transactions?
One more thing, how do Walgreen’s register rewards work? Do I need a card and is it a manufacturer coupon like a catalina? Thanks!
jlbregin says
I got one weight watchers cheese, 2 4-packs of the light and fit and 2 melt downs but no Catalina. Normally I would have only gotten one of those 5 items, but now I have 4 items I don’t want and no Catalina. Moo…

Didn’t see the kraft deluxe cheese tearpads in the chhese aisle. Might they be located elsewhere?

Oreo cookies are listed in the Kraft $25/$5 deal as an item not advertised but included in the UPC list – price listed as $1.88. I have looked through the UPC list 3 times and cannot find Oreos (only the 100 calorie pack ones).
Has anyone tried the deal using Oreo cookies? Do the Cakesters work by any chance?
Thanks!

Does anyone know what Jewel/Domincks locations have the tear coupons for the Weber Seasonings? I tried my Jewel in South Elgin and they did not heave the tear coupons.

I’m new at super couponing and was excited to try the Sobe deal at Target today, but it didn’t work out so great. I did not notice until I got home and looked at my receipt, since I was rushing out the store due to my 3 year old pooping her pants :( Anyway, I used 4 B1G1 and 3 .50 target Q’s. The receipt shows the Sobe for $1 and the MFR Coupon -$1 and then Refund Value $0.50 FN (whatever that means). It looks like they only accepted my target coupons and after everything was done I ended up paying $8.50 out of pocket for 10 Sobe’s. I don’t even know if it’s worth going back and talking to CS about it.

Does Dominick’s have coupon books every month?
I am trying to figure out all of the different coupon booklets.

I realize that I actually have taken advantage of Catalina deals, guess I just didnt recognize the name. Why do you call it Catalina? Often I am surprised by the coupons I get back from these deals, however I am shocked at one of the scenarios where not only do you get back the $5 coupon but a 2 – $3 Catalinas. How the heck?…. Ok I can see I’m gonna have to get into one of those classes or order the DVD. Hey are there any coupons for the DVD?

If you bought any of the Deli deluxe cheese from Round Lake Jewel, be sure to check the dates! 4 out of the 5 packs I bought were expired by a 2 months!! So GROSS! The one that isn’t expired, expires in a couple days. I will be returning them tonight.

Where can I use these coupons, I couldn’t find them at Dominicks in Park Ridge, Jewel in Lake Zurich or in Chicago on cumberland , or at Meijers at McHenry. Thanks.

I tried the deal on the glad trashbags at dominicks yesterday, bought 4 @$6.49, total was $25.96, used two $2 dominicks cats and a $10 RR. My $10 cat didn’t print. I went to CS and they said it was because I used coupons. I called Catalina directly, but they also said I didn’t qualify for the $10 cat because my total ended up being less than $25 after coupons/cats. I thought I just had to make sure I was over the $25 after store sale/coupons. I’m confused. Can someone please clarify this situation for me?
-Thanks

I went to Dominick’s today and I tried to do the Ziploc container deal in 2 separate transactions. I had 4 $1.50/2 coupons. 2 of the coupons were printed on a color printer and the other 2 on a black and white printer. The cashier accepted the color coupon, she wouldn’t accept the black and white coupons because she says that they have to have the yellow dots (located by the expiration date). “That’s how we know the coupon is authentic.” Well unless there’s been a technological development I’m not aware of…how in the world can a black and white printer produce yellow dots? I tried to argue my case, but she says that it’s in the handbook and she’s also part of the coupon committee…huh?! I was on my lunch break and I didn’t want to argue any further, so I only bought the items which they accepted the coupon for. Ridiculous…

I happen to notice the Sweet Baby Rays Marinade Q from 5-23 SS and went to Jewel to check it out. First of all, it was on sale for $2.99. $1.00 off w/Q. Second, as I was reading how much sodium was in it, I was surprised! I normally use Kikkoman Less Sodium Teriyaki Marinade and Sauce which has 320mg/Tblsp. SBRays Teriyaki Marinade and Sauce has even less…260mg/Tblsp.!! I have found a new marinade to use!! Anything to help cut down on the sodium is the best RR ever! :)
