Jewel-Osco has launched a Facebook page. If you have questions directly for corporate, you can ask them there (and they answer promptly!) They’ve also got the free cookware promo under way, so save your stickers from qualifying receipts to earn free pots and pans. And, they’re also running a contest in which you can win one of five complete sets of the new cookware… free!
Are you on the Jewel-Osco email list yet? Jewel has been making coupons available for many different products over the past few months, and they’re usually store coupons that you can stack manufacturer coupons with too. I’d recommend getting on their list if you shop there.

- Wild Harvest fresh no-hormones, no-antibiotics natural ground beef is $4.79/lb.
Jewel seafood deals:
- Fresh farm-raised catfish nuggets are $1.99/lb. – excellent price

- Granny Smith apples are $1.49/lb.
- Jewel’s also running their “Fav 4” deal on produce – buy any 4 items included in the sale (see ad for specifics) and pay $9.99 for four. You do have to really watch your prices here though, as many of the things are -not- the best prices with this deal — Fresh Express salads are $2.50 (! good price for them is $1),) 1lb. strawberries are $2.50 ($1.99 is a good price,) etc.
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices — ditto for most produce. Seafood, by its nature, is more expensive per pound, but a good “buy” benchmark is $4 per pound or less for fish or shrimp.)
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
If you haven’t yet signed up for the new “Just For U” electronic discounts that you can load to your Dominick’s Fresh Values card, you may want to. For registering your card, you’ll receive an ecoupon for a FREE 12-ct. Lucerne large eggs! You’ll also activate a set of electronic discounts that are tied to your card for the next 90 days. Each person’s discounts are different, and they’re based on past purchases made with your Fresh Values card at Dominick’s. Learn more here.

What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.

Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES or ORLAND Meijer locations, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the stores are newer, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.

Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day! You are only allowed to double two of the SAME coupon per day though — additional coupons will ring at face value. (Split your trips if you’re stocking up!)
Readers outside Illinois will want to check with their local Kroger or Kroger-affiliated stores to determine how they handle coupon doubling.

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

Thanks Jill for the deals! You are WONDERFUL!!
Does anyone know where to find the B1G1 Glade candle coupon? I searched on coupontom and didn’t see anything? Thanks

Hey, Jill- you’re going to bed, and I’m getting up for work! Happy Monday to both of us.
The Hylands Cough and Cold for Kids can be a $1.50 moneymaker if you use the coupon at this link: https://www.healthesavers.com/HealthESavers/Coupons.aspx If you don’t see the coupon right away, just refresh until it shows or choose “Hylands” under “Brand” and it should pop up.
Also at Wags, I bought 2 bags of Halls and used two .75 coupons from the September All You and the October All You magazines. By my math, it brought the total down to .25 each for the cough drops. Every little bit helps, right?
I got these from Hip2Save if you want to credit her.
Thank you so much for all the work you do, Jill.

In the Jewel flyer, it states the minimum purchase requirement is calculated AFTER manufacturer discounts. So do they mean after coupons or are we still looking at what the product rings up at before preferred price and before coupons?

Just FYI,
The CREAM soft scrub is not included in the Dominick’s $15/$5 deal. It’s the Spray. The spray is what is marked.

So, went to the Dominicks in Glen Ellyn today, I did the “Buy $15 in cleaning products, get $5 back”. I found 2 Scrubbing Bubbles coupons in the Dominick’s yellow coupon book that has “$16 in savings” on cover – Sept. coupon book?
Bought 4 cans of Scrubbing Bubbles, used 2 – $2/2 coupons
1 box of Kitchen Garbage bags – used 1 $2/1 coupon from another Doms coupon book.
Pre-coupon: $15.99, Post: $9.99. Got $5 coupon and 2 $2 cats from Scrubbing Bubbles….so, paid $.99 for it all!!!!!! BTW – I used my $5 store catalina coupon from last week to pay for this as well!!!!

(Oswego store)
Gillette men’s body wash $2.69. Use $2/1 MFQ from P&G (I used 3 expiring 9/30 and 1 expiring 10/31) = $.69 each
Swiffer Sweeper starter kit $6.48 clearance. Used Buy Starter kit get 1 refill up to $7 free (most recent P&G), this rang thru at the $7.99 shelf price, checker said “Well I’m not going to argue with the register.” She also let me use $1/1 Swiffer starter kit (P&G exp either 9/30 or 10/31). So Swiffer starter kit + 48ct dry refills = $5.48
They are remodeling this store to be a mini SuperTarget so there is quite a lot of clearance there right now.
Smuckers Strawberry squeezable is on a price cut (not TPR) to $1.87 or $1.97, almost free if you were able to get the $1.50/1 printable while it lasted.

Jill, I was able to use the 55 cents coupon in the 8/15 SS for the Brownberry bread. As I was just in need of bread, this was great timing. :)

I hate to ask this, but I will anyway. All the pros must hate the novices!! We need individual mentors!!
When you go to Jewel to do the PG cat (or any cat) do you use a different preferred card for 2 separate transactions so you get the cat on both. Is this even acceptable couponing? I know there has to be some time between transactions or the cat won’t work on the 2nd trans–so what do you do? I must do all my Jewel shopping in one evening-the traveling is too much otherwise. Please advise. Thank you for you patience and time.

Question – I was just at the CL Dominick’s and bought 6 Mr. Clean’s and tried to use the 4 coupons in the deals. They wouldn’t take the additional $1 off since the other three BOGO covered all six. That was a bummer, then the catalina didn’t print. I went to CS and they told me that P&Gs policy is that you have to spend $15 after coupons to receive the cat. That doesn’t make sense. I called the 888 catalina number and she took my info. but ccan’t look into it until tomorrow (since it was today’s transaction). Anyone have this experience with it not printing?

Anyone else having trouble redeeming these? I went to 3 Targets (Evanston on Howard, Peterson Target in Chicago and the target on Touhy in Niles), and the last store finally accepted it only becuase I called the night before and I spoke to a manager who said that the coupon could be redeemed but it would be scaled down to 97 cents.
The supervisor at the Niles store said that no one could change to amount on a coupon (which is not true since many have accepted the coupons before and successfully scaled them down. She said that she would take the coupons this time only. I had 8 of the 1.50 and I got overage, but I just wish that there would be some consistency in all the Targets.
I am a bit frustrated with these. Anyone else have any luck?

Has anyone else only been able to print one coupon now on coupon.com. I’ve tried to print several and after one prints, the item is gone from the list. Just wondering………..

Quick question: I did the hefty and scrubbing bubbles scenarios today but don’t get the Crystals one exactly. I thought Dominicks did not allow you to use a coupon on the free product of the b1g1 coupon. I want to try those crystals things but want to know what I am doing before I get in line.

Hello all,
Has anyone else encountered this issue. Went to buy limit 3 Safeway Select pizzas on sale for $2.99 w/ super coupon and to use my $1.00 off coupon from Dominicks coupon book for the three. They would not let me use two store coupons. Had to use either the super coupon or dollar off one. Please advise.
thank you,

Hello all,
Does anyone know why I did not get a $5 catalina w/ Scrubbing Bubbles deal or Mr. Clean deal. Had coupons and did not add to $15 but did same thing 3 days ago and was not $15 but got cats. Used two different Dominick cards too. So confused on what is the correct process. Will go back tomorrow to hopefully straighten this out. There was no customer service person to help since went at 9pm. Could not return and get my coupons back either. This was at Dominicks. What number should I call if service desk won’t help. Also noticed one of my B1G1 was not reflected nor my $1.00 off an item. What a joke! Additionally…was wondering if can return and add to order to make $15 if that needs to be case to get $5 cat. Did get on Scrubbing Bubbles 3 $2 cats.
