A note on overage and B1G1F sales

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale.

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon may appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

A couple of FYIs….the McCormick spice coupon at coupon.com has the Walmart logo on it. The Premio sausage at the Cary and Crystal Lake Jewel is coming up as $4.99 when scanned at checkout even though an employee swore she saw it in the ad at a lower price. We both couldn’t find it in the Wednesday add inserts.

The TransOcean imitation crab 20 oz was 5.99 at my Jewel so even with the B1G1F, not such a good deal. Also learned the hard way that the McCormick coupon wouldn’t work.
