I want to thank you again for your patience with the transition from my old blog and old server to the current one. This has taken most of the summer, and much of the work’s been done behind-the-scenes. Two features, the “Recent Posts” link and the daily email digest, are now restored — great news for anyone who used either or both of these to keep track of new posts on the blog! Both of these are your key to staying on top of the newest content at JillCataldo.com.
First, “Recent Posts” is now “Recent Activity,” which more accurately reflects everything that’s new on the blog since your last visit. You’ll find the link on the right side of each page right above the “Recent Forum Topics” box:
When you click “View Recent Activity,” you’ll see a list of everything that’s new on the blog — new posts, articles, comments and Forum posts from other readers. If you register for a free account on the blog, each time you log in and visit Recent Activity, you’ll see unread posts in black text and posts you’ve read in grey text, like this:
The newest activity is always at the top. This includes older posts with new comments on them too. This is a great way to quickly spot what’s new on the blog in one spot since your last visit. If you choose not to log in, all posts will appear in black text.
Secondly, the daily digest of emails is back online (finally!) If you previously subscribed to this list, your email address has been carried over from the old blog to the new one. The daily digest email is free and sends one email each day with the titles and summaries of any new posts on the blog. It’s automatically sent to you around 1:00pm Central time each day. If there are no new posts on a specific day, you won’t receive an email.
If you’re new to my daily digest of emails, click here to sign up!
