A note on overage and B1G1F sales

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale.

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon may appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

There is a new Jewel Big Book valid 1-2 thru 1-26 listed on their web site. I was in the store early this AM but there were no books out yet. There are some good deals and coupons in there too, especially the Fresh Express coupon and another instant deal on Unilever products; buy $15 get an instant $5 off. We should be able to put together some deals with the new coupons we are getting this weekend.

Question about the Velveeta deal… If you have to buy 2 velveeta to get the free rotel, wouldn’t you pay $14.98 for 2, minus the $1.25, or $2.50 if you print two coupons?
