The YourBucks Catalina promotion is in its final weeks (through May 4th!) If you haven’t been following this promotion, Jewel is offering a rotating set of Catalina deals that you activate with your Jewel Preferred card. Head over to tv.catalinamarketing.com and sign up with your card number to activate the electronic coupons that result in Catalinas when you buy featured products. Note that it takes 36 hours to activate these discounts. YOU MUST OPT-IN TO RECEIVE THESE CATALINAS.
Best bets this week?
- Dannon Activia yogurt 4-packs are on sale for $2 (through May 2.) Buy 2 and get a $2 YourBucks Catalina back! Make it better by using a $1 coupon on each package (2/28 SS, 3/28 SS2, printable, printable)- pay $2 for 2 and get $2 back. FREE YOGURT!
- Coffee-Mate Creamer is on sale for .99. Buy 2 and get a .75 YourBucks Catalina back. Make this one even better with coupons… there’s a .75 coupon in the 2/7 RP insert, or print 2 here. With two coupons, pay .48 for 2 and get .75 back… hello, moneymaker! You’ll get paid .27 to TAKE two Coffee-Mates home! Now, if you have the 2009 Jewel Preferred Card Update coupon book, there’s a $1-off-2 STORE coupon inside. Stack that here for an even better deal – with it and two .75 coupons, you’ll pay -.52 (yes, you’ll be in overage here, so buy other items to use it up) AND get a .75 Catalina back — you’ll make $1.27 on your two Coffee-Mates! Really want to go coffee crazy? Print this Buy 2, Get 1 Free coupon and get ANOTHER free one!
- Campbell’s cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soups are on sale for .79 a can. Buy 4 and get $1 back in YourBucks. Use two $1 off printables, pay $1.16 and get $1 back! 4 cans of soup for .16 is .04 each!
- All Laundry Detergent is on sale for $3.99. Buy 1 and use the $1 coupon from 2/7 RP or a printable, or from the back of the current Jewel flyer. Pay $2.99 and get $1.25 back! That knocks the price down to just $1.74!
Find another great deal with the YourBucks Catalina promotion? Post it in the comments below!
Lawry’s Marinades are on sale for $1 (through May 2) – already an EXCELLENT price, down from their regular price of $3.19. But use the .50 coupon from 4/18 RP or a printableand cut that price in half AGAIN… down to .50 a bottle… a steal!
NOW… You may want to WAIT to buy these until later in the week, as starting 4/23, Lawry’s Marinades are also part of a national Catalina deal. Buy 2, get a $1 Catalina; Buy 3 get $2; Buy 4 or more, get $3. Oh yes, these are going to FLY out of the store. (Jewel managers reading this… order BUNCHES and bunches of these.) This Catalina runs through 5/16.
So, you could do this one a few ways. With one .50 coupon, buy 2 bottles, pay $1.50 and get $1 back – two for .50! With two .50 coupons, buy 2, pay $1 and get $1 back… FREE marinades! With three .50 coupons, pay $1.50 for 3 and get $2 back – moneymaker! With four .50 coupons, pay $2 and get $3 back… ALSO a moneymaker! Have fun marinade shopping!
Act II microwave popcorn 3-packs are on sale for $1. Use the .40 coupon from 2/28 SS and take this home for .60 a box!
The front page of the Jewel weekly ad has a sale on Quaker and Aunt Jemima products! Buy 5, mix and match, and all are $1.25 each. As with any sale, some of these will be good buys, others not — but the best deal I see is on the Aunt Jemima pancake mix. Buying five at a time knocks these to $1.25 a box, which is a pretty fair price… and with the $1-off-2 coupon from 1/3 RP1, you’re paying .75 a box for each of these… an excellent price!
If you still have the Value Your Heart coupon books Jewel was giving out in February, there’s a $1 coupon inside for Quaker oatmeal too! With this, your oatmeal is just .25 a box…
Jewel is running a “2 for $4” deal on Homelife cleaning products. Buy any 2 in the ad and they’re $2 each, plus you get a free roll of Shoppers Value paper towels for every 2 you buy. As this is Jewel’s house brand, there aren’t currently any coupons available for these, but the best buy I see? Homelife cleaning/disinfecting wipes. A good comparable sale price for Clorox wipes is $2 or less per canister — but with the addition of the free paper towels, it’s not bad if you need them.
Of course, the name-brand Clorox wipes ARE on sale this week for $3 each, and there’s a $2-off-2 coupon on the back of the Jewel flyer, making these $2 a canister. No free paper towels, but if you prefer the name brand… there you go.
A few good non-coupon deals for the week…
Jewel ice cream cones are .99 a box…
Minute Maid orange juice is $1.99 a carton – a good price, even without a coupon…
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
If you’re a fan of Jewel’s Wild Harvest line of organics, here’s your chance to take some home cheap or FREE! Print this $1 off any Wild Harvest coupon and look around the store — there are MANY Wild Harvest products that sell for $1, or close to it.
This week’s (April 19-21) best bets?
Wild Harvest single organic yogurt cups – .79 – free with coupon
Wild Harvest ready-to-drink tea – .99 – free with coupon
Wild Harvest reusable shopping bags – .99 – free with coupon
Wild Harvest canned beans – $1.29 at most stores – .29 with coupon
Wild Harvest organic rice and/or soy milk – $2.69 B1G1F – pay .69 for TWO with two coupons!
Wild Harvest bags of baby carrots – $2.49 B1G1F – pay .49 for TWO with two coupons!
Wild Harvest organic milk half-gallons – $3.19 – $2.19 with coupon
If you got the coupon for a free bag of SunChips a few weeks ago when I had it posted, you might want to use it at Jewel. Look for tearpads on the SunChips display for “Buy 2 SunChips, get a free reusable grocery bag.” If you like SunChips and don’t mind paying for a second bag, grab a coupon and a free shopping bag too…
LASTLY… the ConAgra $25/$10 Catalina deal is due to start soon at Jewel! My early bird readers may want to get their coupons ready… the current issue of All You Magazine has some ConAgra coupons, and you’ll find more online here and here (at this link, you’ll have to play an online game to get coupons.)
Here’s a preview of the products that will be included in the sale!
Jewel meat deals:
- Perdue fresh whole roaster chickens are .99/lb.
- Perdue fresh chicken drumsticks or thighs are $1.49/lb.
- Jewel spiral sliced half ham is $1.79/lb.
- Choice beef fresh cut bottom round roast, sirloin tip roast, pork shoulder roast, or pork roast supreme are all $1.99/lb.
- Fresh cut boneless country style pork ribs are $2.29/lb (yes, a little over my usual benchmark, but still a pretty good price for these…)
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry, or seafood) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices.)
Jewel produce deals:
- Anjou or Bartlett pears are $1/lb
- Fresh broccoli crowns or cauliflower is $1.49/lb.
- Value Wise russet potatoes are $1.99 for a 10lb. bag – a STEAL!
- 2lb. containers of strawberries are $3.88
- 3lb. bags of Fuji, Granny Smith or Red Delicious apples are $2
- Fresh green beans are $2/lb – not bad this early in the season
- 4lb. bags of California Navel oranges are $4.99, B1G1F (don’t forget to buy 2!)
Lastly… if you did the Jewel Preferred Card Update promotion in 2009, the coupons for free products in the coupon booklet are expiring 4/30. If you haven’t used these up yet, you may want to think about doing so as we’ve only got less than two weeks to use them up.
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
Here’s an easy free crackers deal! Nabisco Snack Sacks are $1 each. Use the $1 coupon from 1/24 SS (exp) and take these home… FREE!
Procter & Gamble “Spend $25, get $10” Catalina sale Spending $25 of any of the included Procter and Gamble products included in this sale will generate a $10 Catalina. Note that this is a Dominick’s STORE Catalina, and it does specify that it’s not to be used to buy additional P&G products. ALSO NOTE: The ad for this sale states that the $25 spent is AFTER all coupons. The deal IS working on a pre-coupon, $25 purchase of P&G, but if you’re brand-new at this and aren’t willing to try it, and the Catalina does not print for some reason… the store will NOT make it right for you as the ad states otherwise. We just saw this sale within the past month, and a lot of the products, matchups and scenarios are almost identical to that past sale. View a full list of included products and UPCs here. Please verify prices for YOUR store – prices shown as bold are IN the ad. Prices not in bold were collected in-store. I see a LOT of potential for those B1G1F coupons for the Always, Tampax, Mr. Clean and body washes here too, but due to the fact that I taught a Sunday class, I wasn’t able to get to Dominick’s to verify prices on these. If you come up with a good scenario for these, please feel free to post!

Remember that this deal DOES NOT ROLL… – with this one, you cannot use the Catalina you just got to do another round of P&G. But, if you do your P&G deal first, then go back in the store and do the other deals (meat, produce, etc) and use the Catalina to pay for those.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
Oscar Mayer Lunchables continue to be on sale for $1.00 each. Use the $1 coupon from 3/21 SS and take them home… FREE!
Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts are part of a “Buy 5, save $5” sale (through 4/21.) Buy 5 boxes of Pop-Tarts and they’ll be $1 a box. Use coupons to make this even better… there’s a $1.25-off-3 in the 3/28 RP, a $2-off-2 in 8/30/09 RP (exp), $1-off-3 in 2/7 RP (exp) and .55 off in 9/13/09 RP (exp.) Target’s site also has a $1-off-2 printable (has Target logo but is a manufacturer coupon.) Also look for $1-off-2 peelies on some boxes!
An example scenario: Buy 5 boxes. Use the $1.25-off-3 and the $2-off-2. Pay $1.75 for 5, or .35 a box…
A multiple-inserts scenario: Buy 5 boxes. Use two $2-off-2 and one .55 off. Pay .45 for 5, or .09 a box!
Remember, whichever coupons you use, you must buy in quantities of 5 (5, 10, 15, etc) to receive the $1-per-box price.
Also part of the “Buy 5 save $5?” Quaker Instant Oatmeal & Quaker True Delights. Buy in quantities of 5 and they’re $1.50 each. Here are your matchups…

With this coupon, they’re FREE. This coupon has worked into a LOT of nice Dominick’s sales where these were free over the past few months, but just in case you haven’t used it yet…
Bright Green Buy 2, Get 1 Free Instantly
If you like natural, recycled, or environmentally-friendly cleaning and paper products, you may enjoy this Bright Green “Buy 2, get 1 Free” sale! While Bright Green is a house brand for Safeway, there are lots of ecoupons available to make this deal even better. This deal runs through 4/28/10! Here are your products, prices and matchups (prices were collected at the Higgins Rd., Schaumburg store.) Note that you cannot print these coupons — they’re only available to LOAD to your Fresh Values card via the links. AND, if you plan to do this deal, bring a reusable Dominick’s shopping bag with you from home. You’ll save an extra 10% on Bright Green products. (Make sure to remind your cashier of this as they will need to enter this into the register for you.) 200ct. Bright Green recycled napkins – $1.99 ($1.79 with 10% savings) Bright Green facial tissue – $1.99 ($1.79 with 10% savings) Bright Green color-safe bleach – $1.99 ($1.79 with 10% savings) Bright Green 6-roll recycled bath tissue – $3.99 ($3.60 with 10% savings) Bright Green toilet bowl cleaner – $2.49 ($2.25 with 10% savings) Bright Green spray cleaner – $2.99 ($2.69 with 10% savings) Bright Green 28oz. phosphate free dish detergent – $2.99 ($2.69 with 10% savings) Bright Green dishwasher detergent – $3.99 Bright Green dishwasher rinse aid (it is a HUGE bottle) – $6.69 Bright Green 6-roll 100% recycled paper products – $4.99 ($4.49 with 10% savings) Bright Green phosphate free lavender fabric softener, 51oz – $4.99 ($4.49 with 10% savings) Bright Green 45-ct. 13-gallon biodegradable trash bags – $6.99 ($6.29 with 10% savings) Bright Green phosphate-free biodegradable laundry detergent – $9.99 for 100oz ($8.99 with 10% savings,) $13.99 for 150oz ($12.60 with 10% savings) |
Ready for some scenarios?
Note that the item you get free will be the least expensive of your three if you mix and match different-priced items. If you buy three of the same-priced items, one will be free. And, if you use electronic coupons here, the electronic coupon will come off the free item too!
For each of these scenarios, I’m also figuring on the 10% discounted price for bringing a reusable bag. If you don’t bring one, you will pay 10% more than these listed prices.
__________________________________________________
An all-paper-products scenario
Buy 3 Bright Green napkins and/or facial tissue – $1.79 each
Use $1-off-2 ecoupon and $1 off any Bright Green product ecoupon
Get one package free
Pay $2.08 for 3 – that’s .69 each – not bad at all if you need napkins!
__________________________________________________
Two all-natural laundry detergent scenarios
For those of you who’ve emailed me asking when we’ll have a good natural, chemical-free laundry detergent deal, this one’s pretty good.
Buy 3 Bright Green 100oz. laundry detergent – $8.99 each
Use $1 off laundry detergent ecoupon and $1 off any Bright Green product ecoupon
Get one bottle free
Pay $15.98 for 3 – that’s $5.33 each!
OR:
Buy 3 Bright Green 150oz. laundry detergent – $12.60 each
Use $1 off laundry detergent ecoupon and $1 off any Bright Green product ecoupon
Get one bottle free
Pay $23.20 for 3 – that’s $7.73 each for the BIG bottles.
__________________________________________________
Jill’s napkins-and-fabric-softener scenario
This was an easy one for me as we needed napkins, and I prefer natural, plant-based fabric softeners, which don’t often go on sale. (Most commercial fabric softeners use rendered beef fat as the softening agent, which just weirds me out..!)
Buy 1 Bright Green Fabric Softener – $4.49
Buy 2 Bright Green 200ct Napkins – $1.79
Use $1 off 2 paper products ecoupon (each pack of napkins now $1.29 each)
Use $1 off fabric softener ecoupon (fabric softener now $3.49)
Post-coupon total: $6.07
Minus Buy 2, get 1 free (napkins)
Paid $4.78 for all 3 – if you consider the softener at $3.49, the napkins work out to .65 a package.
__________________________________________________
Note (unfortunately) that these Bright Green ecoupons are ONE SHOTS – you can use them ONCE and then they’re no longer on your card. I was also surprised to see that they don’t show up at ALL on the receipt as a coupon. The price of the product is just automatically adjusted to the post-ecoupon price. My receipt shows 2 packages of napkins ringing AT $1.29 (for both) and the fabric softener at $3.49.
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each when you buy 2 or more at a time. Buy two and use two of the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP or 10/4/09 RP (exp) and pay just .99!
As usual, there are some Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. Best bets?
- 18-ct. Lucerne Eggs are $1.49 with Super Coupon
Dominick’s meat deals:
- Rancher’s Reserve beef chuck 7-bone roast is $1.69/lb. Use this $2 off $10 coupon for Rancher’s Reserve meats to make this even better!
Dominick’s produce deals:
- Bananas are .50/lb – a very good price
- Michigan Gala apples are $1.49/lb.
- Large navel oranges are .99/lb
- Rhubarb is $1.99/lb
- 2lb. containers of strawberries are $3.99
Before we leave Doms, there’s a coupon in the Thursday Dominick’s ad for a free reusable grocery bag with a $40 purchase of groceries. If you’re planning a big trip (definitely a possibility with everything else going on there this week!) clip this (or load one to your Fresh Values card here!) and get a free bag too! I have to say that the Dominick’s reusable bags are my favorite of all the ones offered in our local stores – they’re thicker and not as “floppy” as some cheap bags, they have strong handles, and they stand up, open, on their own. And FREE is, of course, is the best price!
AND… if you have the 2010 Entertainment Book, don’t forget that there are four $5 off $50 coupons inside the front cover too. These have staggering dates (one expired in the first quarter of 2010) and the next $5-off-$50 expires 4/30. Again, if you’re planning a big trip, use this too — save another $5 AND get a free bag.
If you haven’t ordered the Entertainment Book for this year, it’s also a great buy — Entertainment just reduced these to $15 each with FREE shipping! They do quickly pay for themselves if you like local coupons for restaurants, attractions, and even travel. Coupons I like – $20 off any American Airlines flight for up to 6 tickets, coupons for free weekend rentals for just about every rental car company out there, 15% off any Menards item (great for a BIG purchase!), $5 off at Ace Hardware, $10 gameplay at Dave & Busters and Gameworks, Buy One, Get One Free meals at TGI Fridays, lots of $5-off-$15 and $10-off-$20 restaurant coupons, B1G1F Domino’s pizza, free Auntie Anne’s pretzel, free Cold Stone Creamery ice cream… lots of good stuff. The Chicago book contains over $18,000 worth of coupons (yes, you read that right!) Worth checking out! Walgreens is still selling these for $25 each, so $15 is a great price.
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, and St. Charles:
TGI Fridays frozen snacks are a great buy this week. On sale for $2, use this $1.50 printable (can print 2!) to take them home for .50 each!
Meijer’s running a “Buy 10 for $10, get the 11th free” sale again. Bet buys here?
Betty Crocker cookie mix – use the .40 coupon from 3/28 SS, pay .60 – and mix and match it into a deal with other $1 items to get the 11th free!
Hamburger, Tuna, or Chicken Helper – also part of the deal, Buy 3 and use the .75-off-3 coupons from 4/11 SS, 3/7 SS or printables and pay .75 each – AND mix it into the 10-get-11th free deal.
Meijer meat deals:
- “Pick of the Chick” chicken pieces are $1.39/lb.
- Boneless chuckeye roast is $1.99/lb.
- Fresh pork spareribs are $1.99/lb
Meijer produce deals:
- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $1 each – A STEAL! These are going to fly this week, especially since they’re part of the 10/11 deal…
- Florida green beans are .99/lb
- Dole premium salads are $1 each
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…
Hilander shoppers get an even better deal on the Lawry’s Marinades this week! They’re also on sale at Hilander for $1 a bottle. Use the .50 coupon from 4/18 RP or a printable — doubled to $1, it makes these FREE!
And, while you’re buying that, grab some Lawry’s Seasoned or Garlic Salt. They’re also on sale for $1, and use the other .50 coupon from the 4/18 RP insert, doubled, to make this FREE too!
Kroger eggs, bread or buns are .88 each – good prices, even without coupons!
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
If you didn’t get the Smart Balance Sour Cream when it was on sale for $1, you can still do the deal. It’s on sale for $1.09. Use the $1 coupon from 3/21 RP and pay .09!
Hilander meat deals:
- Chicken leg quarters are .39/lb – an absolute steal!
- Pork shoulder roast is $1.39/lb
- Pork steaks or Western-style ribs are $1.59/lb.
- Fresh and Angus ground chuck are $1.67/lb
- Pork chops are $1.99/lb
Hilander produce deals:
- Seedless red or black grapes are $1.28/lb
- Tomatoes on the vine are $1.99/lb
- 1lb. containers of strawberries and/or blackberries are $2
- 8lb. bags of Red Delicious apples or California Navel oranges are $3.99 each
Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day!
New at Target, they’ve launched mobile Target coupons which you can load to your phone. You will need an internet-capable phone to take advantage of these, and they are Target store coupons that you can stack with.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
If you remember the Target free light bulb deals we saw in January and February… the deal is back again! Many GE Energy Smart light bulbs are on sale for $2.99. Print this $2 Target coupon and stack it with a $1 manufacturer coupon from 3/7 SS, April All You, or a printable. With $3 in coupon value, your light bulb will be FREE!
SuperTarget meat deals:
- Sutton & Dodge London Broil, top round steak or top round roast is $1.99/lb.
SuperTarget produce deals:
- 1lb. containers of strawberries are $1.99
- 5lb. bags of navel oranges are $2.49
The great coupon for $10 off a $20 Kmart purchase continues running through 5/22. It’s good on just about anything in the store — put together a trip that’s just over $20 and you’re essentially paying half price for whatever you buy!
If you like reading trip reports, I have been doing some big stock-ups on clearance kids’ clothes — fifteen pairs of jeans for my boys in the $1 range, not to mention other pants, shirts and shoes for them too. [first trip | second and third trips]
Drugstore Deals
Kotex U deal is back! Continuing through the rest of the month now, the FREE deal on Kotex U continues! And, we just got more coupons for these in Sunday’s paper, making this deal even sweeter…
Here’s the deal. Buy Kotex U pantiliners, pads or tampons – all on sale for $3.49. Use the $1 coupons from 4/18 SS and/or April All You or printable, pay $2.49 a package and get $2.50 back in Register Rewards! FREE Kotex U!
Note that you can only receive ONE Kotex Register Reward per transaction, and you cannot use a Kotex RR to buy more Kotex. Split these up into separate transactions if you’re stocking up.
Nature’s Bounty Vitamin D is also a moneymaker this week! It’s on sale for $5 with $5 back in Register Rewards – FREE! But it will be a moneymaker with the $1 coupon from 3/14 RP or a printable. Pay $4 and get $5! Love that!
Same as with the Kotex (and any RR deal at Wags) – you cannot use the RR from buying Nature’s Bounty to buy MORE of the same.
MORE free toothpaste? Oh yes. Colgate Total is on sale for $2.99 with $2 back in Register Rewards. Use the $1 Colgate Total coupon from April All You, pay $1.99 and get $2 back! FREE toothpate! Or, use this .75 printable and make it .24 after coupon and RR.
Dawn Dish Detergent is on sale for .99 with the coupon in the Wags flyer. Stack this with the .50 Dawn coupon from 4/4 PG and pay .49! There’s also a $1 Dawn Hand Renewal coupon in the new Home Made Simple coupon mailer. If the Hand Renewal variety is included in this sale, it will be FREE with coupon.
Walgreens also has one dozen eggs on sale for $1.29 a carton – not a bad price.
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
Forum reader Stealfinder spotted a great deal on Beneful Incredibites dog food. Some Walgreens have single-sized bags on sale for $1 each. There’s a $3 coupon for ANY size Beneful in 3/21 SS. While this coupon will likely beep and -not- give overage as it’s so much higher than the cost of the item, Stealfinder pointed out that buying three bags of Incredibites will cause the coupon not to beep… and take $3 off total, making these FREE…
Do you have a CVS Green Bag Tag? It’s a leaf-shaped tag that hangs on any reusable bag. If you bring your own bag to CVS and have the cashier scan the tag, you get $1 in ECBs on every 4th visit (free money!) Usually the Green Bag Tag costs $1, but this week, it’s .99 with .99 back in ECBs… FREE. And you can start earning more free ECBs once you have it!
Selected Thermacare heat wraps are on sale for $2.49 with $2.49 back in ECBs… also FREE! Use this $1 coupon and pay $1.49… getting $2.49 back! Now it’s a moneymaker!
Selected sizes of Halle Berry’s Halle fragrance are on sale for $2.49 with $2.49 back in ECBs… another freebie!
Colgate Total is on the same deal that Walgreens has this week. It’s on sale for $2.99 with $2 back in ECBs. Use the $1 Colgate Total coupon from April All You, pay $1.99 and get $2 back! FREE toothpate! Or, use this .75 printable and make it .24 after coupon and ECB.
Lastly, here’s a fun deal on candy that you can rock if you get multiple inserts. Many Hersheys and Cadbury candies are on sale in a “Spend $10, get $5 in ECBs” sale.
Here are the coupons you’ll want to use with the sale:
B1G1F Hershey’s Special Dark or Milk Chocolate bar -4/18 SS
.55 off Reeses Dark – 3/14 SS
And here’s the deal. Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, Hersheys bars and Kit Kats are on sale for .89, Buy 2, get 1 Free. To get up to the $10 mark, we’ll need to buy 18 of them ($10.68.) We’ve now qualified to get $5 back and are paying $5.68 for 18 of these! But we’re going to use coupons to make this even better.
For example…
With 1 B1G1F Hershey’s coupon, you’d pay $9.79 and get $5 back ($4.79)
With 2 B1G1F Hershey’s coupons, you’d pay $8.90 and get $5 back ($3.90)
With 3 B1G1F Hershey’s coupons, you’d pay $8.01 and get $5 back ($3.01)
With 4 B1G1F Hershey’s coupons, you’d pay $7.12 and get $5 back ($2.12)
You get the idea. :) If you have .55 off Reese’s coupons to work into this, it’s even better.
With 2 B1G1F Hershey’s coupons and 2 .55 off Reeses coupons, pay $7.80 and get $5 back!
Mix this up however you like, but that’s some CHEAP candy… and a great way to reward yourself for another fine week of couponing! :)
CVS Tip: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the price scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

There are printable coupons for $1 off instant oatmeal here: https://www.quakeroats.com/about-quaker-oats/content/create-your-day/default.aspx
Also there is another manufacturer’s coupon for $1 off instant oatmeal on the CVS website under store coupons, click on food to find it.
There are also coupons at the Quaker site for the True Delights Oatmeal, but I don’t believe these are part of the deal at Jewel, but maybe Dominicks.

Has anyone found the Rianxeria tuna snacks anywhere (free coupon)? Jewel and Meijer don’t carry them.

I don’t have internet access on my phone, but i do have texting.
So target sends me a text, I go to the link on my PC, target.com/save
It will show the five coupons for that month and a bar code I can print up and take to target, which I have done.
I just did this yesterday with my new coupons for this month.

For those people that live in Palatine, Eurofresh has strawberries – 2 pound container for 1.78. At least that was the price on Sunday. I’m sure it’s running all week. Excellent price!

I have yet to find a store that has the Sun Chip display. I would like to get the tote. Does anyone know of a jewel in the North Shore area that has the display and totes?

5 x $1.25 = $6.25. You would need TWO of the $1-off-2 coupon from 1/3 RP1, to knock it down to $4.25, which then equals .85 per box – not .75
Still a good price if you have two coupons.
My favorite was the Quaker Oatmeal – see separate post from onceuponacoupon. I had several VYH books and $1 coupons and bought lots of Oatmeal for .25 a box.
I hope eating all that oatmeal will help lower my pesky high cholesterol!
I had lots of fun shopping this weekend! Thank you Jill!

If you bought a freezer this year there was a coupon for a free Culinary Circle Entrée. Combine this with the $5 off purchase of 2 Culinary Circle Meat or Cheese Lasagna store coupon and take home TWO lasagnas for about a dollar. Sorry, I don’t my have receipt with me to give you the exact price.
I read about this on Mashupmom…
I’ll post this on freezer forum too.

4 non-Infinity Always Pads @ $6.99ea (I bought the biggest packages they had.)
– 2 B1G1

(I had already used the $1 from 3/7 for another deal)
After $10 Mastercard (which is what Meijer was offering) I took them all home for $2.98 pre-tax or $.745/pacakge.

I bought 2 of the $2 boxes that include Capri Sun AND 4 of the $1 subs, turkey and cheddar flavor. I had some of the Jewel manufacturer’s coupons from the week of 10/1-10/7 that were $2/2 in addition to the $1/1 ones from the paper and some expired internet printed ones. I paid $2.25 for the 6 boxes, but got four $1/1 OYNO catalinas at the end, so it was a $1.75 MM. I’m guessing it was the mini boxes, but I bought 2 of them just by themselves yesterday, and I didn’t get anything from that cashier. Either it printed after I left, or the larger boxes had something to do with it.
I bought at the Schaumburg store at Roselle and Schaumburg Rds. Hope this helps!

It’s not always easy to find a great deal on Organic & Gluten free food. I was at Kroger in Bradley tonight. Cedarlane frozen entrees are on sale for buy one get one free. They are regularly $4.09 each. That makes them $2.04 each, plus I had two Cedarlane coupons for $.55 off. Bought 6 of them and put them in my great freezer from the Jewel freezer deal! Cheap gluten free food! I LOVE it!

Glaceau vitamin water is on sale for $1 each, and if you buy 10 you get 2 for free ( it takes $2 off at the end of receipt). If you have multiple inserts 4/11 S $1 off 2 (I somehow had 6) it can be a good deal. I paid $4 and got 12 bottles. After I paid, I got a cat for Sobe Vitamin water buy 1 get 1 free, so I just went back and bought those 2, since they are also $1 each, but not part of B10G2F deal.

Used 2 Bogo coupons for the Old Spice body wash which came to $7. plus P&G ecoupon worth $3
Used $1 coupon for the tide, plus $1 P&G ecoupon (has to be tide Febreeze)
Used $1 coupon for the Gain, plus $1 P&G ecoupon (did not use the doms supercoupon, cause I wasn’t sure if it would put me over the $25 limit if I used it)

Hi, I am new at this and would like to ask if you could look into making your website a little more “mobile friendly”. I have to read the post often enough to get it right and the website does not come up very good on my phone (save paper, don’t print it out). Just a suggestion.
Also, I went to Jewel and some things did not pan out. Cream of Chicken is 1.29 not 79 cents so I did not buy it. The Wild Harvest products are are being removed from the store near me (don’t sell very well)so no ice tea for free, and the Wild Harvest reusable bag did not pan out either because the guy says that it must be a “product” to use the coupon not a bag that advertises Wild Harvest. Bummer huh?

Here are a couple of deals that I did, they may not be great, but I was happy with them!
3 Tide Stain Release ($20.97)
1 Febreze Air Effects ($3)
1 Dawn Hand Renewal ($2.49)
Use (3) $3 Tide Stain Release 3/28 RP
1 $1 Febreze Home Made Simple
$.50 Dawn Hand Renewal
Total OOP $5.96 (I already used my ecoupons but if you haven’t used them yet, this could be better)
(2) Tide Stain Release ($13.98)
1 Downy Fabric Softener ($3.99)
1 Dawn Hand Renewal (2.49)
1 Cascade Action Packs ($3.99)
1 Febreze Air Effects ($3)
Use (2) $3 Tide Stain Release 3/28RP
$1 Downy 4/4PG
$1 Dawn Home Made Simple
$.50 Cascade Home Made Simple
$1 Febreze Home Made Simple
Total OOP $7.86 (again could be better if you have ecoupons left)

I tried a deal with the Prilosec and did not get the $10 cat. I bought 2 Prilosec ($9.99 each) and 1 Tide ($6.99) = $26.97. I used 2 $3 Prilosec Qs, 1 $4 e coupon, $1 Tide so the total OOP was $15.97. I have no idea why this didn’t work, I checked the UPCs and they matched up to Jill’s list. Any suggestions? I am going to take my receipt back tomorrow and hopefully the really nice lady who always helps me out will just give me my $10 cat.

I didn’t find this posted anywhere else (I hope it’s not a repeat), and the deal probably ends tomorrow, but I had to share!
I went to Walgreens today to get in on the B1G1 half off razors and Old Spice. There are several coupon match-ups for the razor brands on sale, but at my Walgreens (one in Aurora) the Gillette Fusion “Gamer” manual razors were on CLEARANCE for $4.74 (the power razors were clearancing at $5.74) and work into the B1G1 half off deal. I had two $5 coupons from the inside of the Mach3 packs I bought earlier in the week (also B1G1 half off) as well as a $4 off coupon from 4/4 PG. So, I bought 4 of these ‘expensive’ razors for $.22 making them .06 each! Can’t wait to show my hubs! :o)
Also, the Old Spice deodorant and bodywash are B1G1 half off. Use B1G1F coupons from 3/7 PG or 4/18 RP, buy 2 bodywash (big bottles) for $2.65 and 2 deodorants for $2.50. Not a bad deal in my book, especially if you have some RR to spend.
