NOTE: The Catalinas that print state that they are $10 off a future baby product purchase. However, babies need LOTS of things, don’t they..? Milk, fresh fruit, vitamins, juices…? :)
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
If you’re a fan of Jewel’s Wild Harvest line of organics, here’s your chance to take some home cheap or FREE! Print this $1 off any Wild Harvest coupon and look around the store — there are MANY Wild Harvest products that sell for $1, or close to it — crackers, cookies, organic produce… even reusable shopping bags.
Jewel meat deals:
- Jewel fresh split chicken breasts are $1.29/lb.
- Perdue fresh cut-up whole fryer chickens are $1.69/lb
- Jewel is running their “Fav 4” meat deal again. Buy 4 included meats and all 4 packages are $19.99. As with any deal, your best buys here are going to be the meats that price out around $1.99/lb. or less.
(Anytime meat is under $1.99 a pound (no matter what it is — beef, pork, poultry, or seafood) it’s a buy in my book, because $1.99 is a cycle low and a good benchmark for meat prices.)
Jewel produce deals:
- Wild Harvest organic baby-cut carrots are $1.79 for a 1lb. bag. If you haven’t printed the $1 Wild Harvest coupon linked above, print it and take these home for .79! (Who says you can’t coupon produce?)
- California Cuties Clementines (my FAVORITE fruit!) are on sale for $4.88 for a 5lb. box. Use the $1 coupon from 3/14 SS and take these home for $3.88 – an absolute steal for Clementines.
- Jewel is running their “Fav 4” produce deal again too. Buy 4 included produce items and pay $9.99 for all. Truly, I don’t see any great deals here with this one, but it’s your call…
Lastly… if you did the Jewel Preferred Card Update promotion in 2009, the coupons for free products in the coupon booklet are expiring 4/30. If you haven’t used these up yet, you may want to think about doing so as we’ve only got a couple weeks left on these.
Let’s go to Dominick’s, where there’s quite a bit going on this week sale-wise…
Note to my Safeway shoppers reading from outside Chicagoland: In Chicago, Dominick’s currently accepts expired coupons up to one year past the expiration date, so my coupon matchups for Dominick’s deals will include expired coupons. If an expired coupon matchup is provided, it will be noted with (exp) after the date. Also, in Chicago, Dominick’s does not double coupons (as other Safeway stores do) – if your store doubles, you’ll do even better with many of these deals.
Dominick’s has a great sale going on Oscar Mayer meats through 4/21 called “Easy as 1, 2, 3!” – all included items in the sale are priced either at $1, $2, or $3! Here are your matchups:
$1 group
Oscar Mayer Bologna – .50 each after coupon
– $1 off 2 – 3/7 SS, 12/13/09 SS (exp)
Oscar Mayer Lunchables – FREE after coupon!
– $1 off – 3/21 SS
$2 group

$3 group
Oscar Mayer lunch meats (selected) – $2.50 each after coupon
– $1 off 2 – 3/7 SS, 12/13/09 SS (exp)
Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts are part of a “Buy 5, save $5” sale (through 4/21.) Buy 5 boxes of Pop-Tarts and they’ll be $1 a box. Use coupons to make this even better… there’s a $1.25-off-3 in the 3/28 RP, a $2-off-2 in 8/30/09 RP (exp), $1-off-3 in 2/7 RP (exp) and .55 off in 9/13/09 RP (exp.) Target’s site also has a $1-off-2 printable (has Target logo but is a manufacturer coupon.) Also look for $1-off-2 peelies on some boxes!
An example scenario: Buy 5 boxes. Use the $1.25-off-3 and the $2-off-2. Pay $1.75 for 5, or .35 a box…
A multiple-inserts scenario: Buy 5 boxes. Use two $2-off-2 and one .55 off. Pay .45 for 5, or .09 a box!
Remember, whichever coupons you use, you must buy in quantities of 5 (5, 10, 15, etc) to receive the $1-per-box price.
Also part of the “Buy 5 save $5?” Quaker Instant Oatmeal & Quaker True Delights. Buy in quantities of 5 and they’re $1.50 each. Here are your matchups…
– $1 off Quaker Instant Oatmeal – 2/7 RP (exp) and Jewel Heart coupon book from February
– $1 off Quaker True Delights – 2/14 RP (exp), 8/23/09 RP (exp)
– $1.25 off 2 oatmeal – 8/30/09 RP (exp)
With 5 $1 coupons, you’ll pay .50 each for these.
The “Buy 5, save $5” has other products too, including:
Fruity Pebbles, Raisin Bran, Rice Krispies – $1.50 each when purchased in quantities of 5
Kellogg’s Fiber Plus bars, Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, Kellogg’s Mini-Wheats, Honey Bunches of Oats – $2 each when purchased in quantities of 5.
The only things noteworthy here are the Pebbles (still part of the national “Buy 5, get $4 Catalina” deal through the 18th — if you have expired $1-off-2 Pebbles coupons from 3/14 SS, 2/28 SS, 12/6/09 SS use them here – buy 5 ($7.50) – use two $1-off-2 coupons. Pay $5.50 and get 4 back — that’s $1.50 for 5 boxes of Pebbles, or .30 a box.
Gourmet ice cream deal! If you’re a fan of Starbucks or Ben and Jerry’s ice cream pints, this one’s for you…
Starbucks and Ben and Jerry’s pints are on sale for $3.29 each (NOT a deal.) But, if you buy 3, you’ll get an instant-savings of $3, making these $2.29 each (getting better.) Now, let’s add coupons…
Load the $2-off-2 ecoupons for Starbucks and Ben and Jerry’s from ShortCuts
Stack this with manufacturer coupons:
– .75 off Starbucks (can print 2)
– $1 off Starbucks (expireds) – 11/15/09 RP
With 3 $1 Starbucks coupons and $2-off-2 ecoupon, you’ll pay $1.87 for 3, or about .63 each – VERY cheap!
With 3 .75 printables and $2-off-2 ecoupon, you’ll pay $2.62 for 3, or about .87 a pint.
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each (bottle or sheets) when you buy 2 at a time. Buy two and use two of the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP or 10/4/09 RP (exp) and pay just .99 a bottle or package!
Forum reader Ms.Coupon spotted a good deal on Del Monte refrigerated, jarred vegetables. They’re on sale Buy One, Get One Free this week. If you’re a Vocalpoint member, use the B1G1F Del Monte coupon you may have received in the mail and take TWO jars home free…

Ready for some scenarios?
Note that the item you get free will be the least expensive of your three if you mix and match different-priced items. If you buy three of the same-priced items, one will be free. And, if you use electronic coupons here, the electronic coupon will come off the free item too!
For each of these scenarios, I’m also figuring on the 10% discounted price for bringing a reusable bag. If you don’t bring one, you will pay 10% more than these listed prices.

An all-paper-products scenario
Buy 3 Bright Green napkins and/or facial tissue – $1.79 each
Use $1-off-2 ecoupon and $1 off any Bright Green product ecoupon
Get one package free
Pay $2.08 for 3 – that’s .69 each – not bad at all if you need napkins!

Two all-natural laundry detergent scenarios
For those of you who’ve emailed me asking when we’ll have a good natural, chemical-free laundry detergent deal, this one’s pretty good.
Buy 3 Bright Green 100oz. laundry detergent – $8.99 each
Use $1 off laundry detergent ecoupon and $1 off any Bright Green product ecoupon

Pay $15.98 for 3 – that’s $5.33 each!
OR:

Jill’s napkins-and-fabric-softener scenario
This was an easy one for me as we needed napkins, and I prefer natural, plant-based fabric softeners, which don’t often go on sale. (Most commercial fabric softeners use rendered beef fat as the softening agent, which just weirds me out..!)
Buy 1 Bright Green Fabric Softener – $4.49
Buy 2 Bright Green 200ct Napkins – $1.79
Use $1 off 2 paper products ecoupon (each pack of napkins now $1.29 each)
Use $1 off fabric softener ecoupon (fabric softener now $3.49)
Post-coupon total: $6.07
Minus Buy 2, get 1 free (napkins)
Paid $4.78 for all 3 – if you consider the softener at $3.49, the napkins work out to .65 a package.
__________________________________________________
Note (unfortunately) that these Bright Green ecoupons are ONE SHOTS – you can use them ONCE and then they’re no longer on your card. I was also surprised to see that they don’t show up at ALL on the receipt as a coupon. The price of the product is just automatically adjusted to the post-ecoupon price. My receipt shows 2 packages of napkins ringing AT $1.29 (for both) and the fabric softener at $3.49.
Butternut breads and buns are on sale for $1.69. Use the .35 coupon from 2/7 SS or the .50 coupon from the 2009 Jewel Preferred Card Update book to get this even cheaper…
Lucerne milk is $1.99/gallon when you buy TWO gallons…
Trident Layers gum is $1 a pack. If you didn’t use your Trident coupons before they expired, use them here – the .75 off from 2/7 SS (exp) will net you a pack for a quarter, and the $1-off-2 from December All You (exp) or the B1G1F from 10/18 SS (exp) and pay $1 for two, or .50 each.
As usual, there are some Dominick’s Super Coupons* in this week’s ads too. Best bets?
- Pampers or Huggies Jumbo packs of diapers are $7.99 each, limit 4, with Super Coupon. Load the following Pampers ecoupons from PGEsaver.com to your Dominick’s card: $2 off Pampers Extra Protection, $2.50 off Pampers Cruisers AND Sensitive Wipes, $1 off Pampers Swaddlers, $1 off Pampers Easy Ups. Stack this with any Pampers manufacturer coupons you have — they’re in EVERY P&G insert. Highest value ones can be found in these inserts: $2 off – 3/14 RP, 2/21 PG (exp), 12/27/09 PG (exp), 10/25/09 RP (exp), $1.50 off – 2/7 PG (exp), 11/29/09 PG (exp), 11/29/09 PG, 11/1/09 PG (exp). Prego’s part of a national Catalina deal… buying 3 or more will generate a $1 Catalina! So, with a $1-off-3, pay $2.75 and get $1 back – $1.75 for 3 Prego is .58 a jar. If you didn’t stock up on free Ragu at Jewel last month, this is a very nice price!

Before we leave Doms, there’s a coupon in the Thursday Dominick’s ad for a free reusable grocery bag, (through 4/14) with a $40 purchase of groceries. If you’re planning a big trip (definitely a possibility with everything else going on there this week!) clip this (or load one to your Fresh Values card here!) and get a free bag too! I have to say that the Dominick’s reusable bags are my favorite of all the ones offered in our local stores – they’re thicker and not as “floppy” as some cheap bags, they have strong handles, and they stand up, open, on their own. And FREE is, of course, is the best price!
AND… if you have the 2010 Entertainment Book, don’t forget that there are four $5 off $50 coupons inside the front cover too. These have staggering dates (one expired in the first quarter of 2010) and the next $5-off-$50 expires 4/30. Again, if you’re planning a big trip, use this too — save another $5 AND get a free bag.
If you haven’t ordered the Entertainment Book for this year, it’s also a great buy — Entertainment just reduced these to $15 each with FREE shipping! They do quickly pay for themselves if you like local coupons for restaurants, attractions, and even travel. Coupons I like – $20 off any American Airlines flight for up to 6 tickets, coupons for free weekend rentals for just about every rental car company out there, 15% off any Menards item (great for a BIG purchase!), $5 off at Ace Hardware, $10 gameplay at Dave & Busters and Gameworks, Buy One, Get One Free meals at TGI Fridays, lots of $5-off-$15 and $10-off-$20 restaurant coupons, B1G1F Domino’s pizza, free Auntie Anne’s pretzel, free Cold Stone Creamery ice cream… lots of good stuff. The Chicago book contains over $18,000 worth of coupons (yes, you read that right!) Worth checking out! Walgreens is still selling these for $25 each, so $15 is a great price.
*A note on Dominick’s Super Coupons:
What does “minimum $10 (or $20) purchase required” mean? To use store coupons that include a minimum purchase requirement, you must spend a minimum dollar amount on that shopping trip. You will reach the minimum purchase amount based upon total purchases after your Club Card discount is applied. For example, the regular retail price of a box of Cheerios (after Club Card discounts) will count toward the minimum purchase required in order to use the Cheerios coupon.
Heading over to Meijer, here are your best deals of the week for Meijer stores in in Algonquin, Aurora, Bloomingdale, Bolingbrook, Elgin, McHenry, Oswego, Plainfield, Rolling Meadows, and St. Charles:
We saw a Barilla pasta deal a few weeks ago at Meijer, but this week it’s even better! Barilla whole grain and Piccolini pastas are on sale for .89 a box. Use the .55 coupons from the 3/7 SS insert and pay .34 a box! If you’re a multiple inserts person, this deal’s about to get better for you too! Head to Meijer Mealbox and print $1-off-3 Meijer store coupons for the Barilla. Buy 3, stack this with three .55 coupons, and pay .02 for THREE boxes! That’s just about as close to FREE as it gets!
SOME editions of the Chicago Tribune received a coupon for $5 off Finish Quantumatic dishwasher dispenser in the 4/11 SS insert. (Other editions of the Trib got a $2 or $1 coupon for the same item — occasionally, companies will do this, issuing varying values of the same coupon, even in the SAME newspaper, and typically it’s because they don’t want to pay out thousands of $5 coupons.)
At any rate, IF you received one and have been looking for a place to spend it, Finish Quantumatic is on sale for $4.99 through Wednesday for a 12-load dispenser — it will be FREE with the $5 coupon!
Gallons of Meijer milk are $1.98 each…
$25/$10 Procter and Gamble Catalina Deal Spend $25 on Procter and Gamble products and receive a Catalina that you mail in for a $10 MasterCard gift card! (Through 4/21.) (Have you had enough P&G deals lately? First Dominick’s, then Jewel, and now Meijer? Cheap P&G everywhere!) Meijer’s got a PDF of the included products on their website. Unfortunately, no prices with the ad, so it’s difficult to do scenarios with this one, but if you didn’t stock up like mad with either of the last rounds of P&G, you might do well here. Here are your products and matchups: Align Always Aussie Bounce Bounty Braun Camay Cascade Charmin Cheer Clairol ClearBlue Cover Girl Crest Dawn Downy Dreft Duracell Era Eukanuba Febreze Fixodent Gain Gleem Gillette Head & Shoulders Herbal Essences Iams Joy Luvs Metamucil Mr. Clean Natural Instincts Nice ‘n Easy Olay Old Spice Oral B Pampers Pantene Pepto Bismol Pringles Prilosec OTC Puffs Pur Safeguard Scope Secret Swiffer Tampax Tide Vicks Zest |
Obviously, ANYTHING with Buy One, Get One Free coupons will be the way to go here – the price of both items will count up to $25, but you’ll only pay for one!
If you have received the “Home Made Simple: Decor Done Right” P&G coupon book (home mailed) there are many coupons in it that will work well here as well, including a “Buy Swiffer, get Refill Free!”
Come up with a good scenario? Post it in the comments!
If you do this deal and have a total of $50 (pre-coupon) in P&G receipts (from any store), remember to send them in for the free $100 P&G coupon book!
Deals continuing from past weeks:
Smart Balance sour cream is on sale for .99 (supposed to be through 4/18.) Use the $1 coupon from 3/21 RP and pay… NOTHING! :)
Meijer meat deals:
- Chicken drumstick and thigh family packs are .99/lb
- Pork shoulder bone-in Western style ribs are .99/lb – GREAT price!
- Fresh pork spare ribs are $1.49/lb – must be the week for ribs deals!
Meijer produce deals:
- Green seedless grapes are .99/lb.
- 2lb. bags of Michigan Red Delicious, Ida Red or Jonathan apples are $2
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes.
AND, if you shop at the Illinois NILES Meijer location, they haven’t been following the same sale flyer as the other Illinois Meijers, under the convoluted reasoning that because the store is new, people will shop there -without- as many products being on sale. O-kay.
For my Rockford-area shoppers (and Kroger shoppers too!) here are your Hilander sales for the current week…
Smart Balance Sour Cream is on sale for $1.09 a tub. Use the $1 coupon from 3/21 RP and take it home for a whopping nine cents!
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each. Use the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP and pay just .99 a bottle!
Lady Speed Stick is on sale for .99. Use this .75 coupon and take it home for .24!
Deals continuing from previous weeks:
Bird’s Eye Steamfresh and frozen vegetables are on sale for $1. Use the .35 coupon from 3/21 SS – doubled to .70, it makes your vegetables just .30 a bag!
Hilander meat deals:
- Chicken drumsticks or thighs are .97/lb – GREAT price
- Pork spare ribs are $1.17/lb
- Boneless pork loin is $1.77/lb.
Hilander produce deals:
- Seedless white grapes are .97/lb
- Texas onions are .99/lb
Remember too that Hilander doubles coupons up to .55 face value every day!
The razor deals continue at Target again this week! Gillette Fusion and Venus Embrace razors are on sale for $6.99. Buy 2 and get a $5 Target gift card!
Best deal? If you’re a multiple-inserts person, use two $4 Fusion coupons from 4/4 PG. Pay $5.98 and get a $5 gift card back! TWO “expensive” razors for .98? That’s .49 each!
If you remember the Target free light bulb deals we saw in January and February… the deal is back again! Many GE Energy Smart light bulbs are on sale for $2.99. Print this $2 Target coupon and stack it with a $1 manufacturer coupon from 3/7 SS, April All You, or a printable. With $3 in coupon value, your light bulb will be FREE!
Did you have fun with the Double Coupons last week? I didn’t make special trips just to do doubles, but I did go to a Kmart whenever I was in the area of one (hey, I drive a lot when I’m teaching Super-Couponing classes!) My three trips netted me five boxes of Hartz dog treats, four bags of Halls cough drops and four bags of DeMets Turtles candy, all free with doubled coupons, plus two Pedigree Dentastix for my big dog at .29 a package. Love that!
I mainly went to Kmart though for the winter clothes clearance, which has dropped to $1.99 in price, whether it’s clothing for men, women or children. That $1.99 clothes clearance continues again this week (front page of this week’s ad!) and many stores have also dropped clearance shoes to an additional 50% off.
If you like reading trip reports, I bought fifteen pairs of jeans for my boys in the $1 range, not to mention other pants, shirts and shoes for them too. It was fun combining those great clearances with the fabulous $10-off-$20 Kmart purchase coupon that’s good through May: [first trip | second and third trips]
And, if you’re planning any houseware or home decor purchases for Kmart, make sure to cut the “$30 off $100” coupon that’s in the current Kmart flyer. (Kmart sure is issuing a LOT of high-value dollar-off coupons lately!)
Drugstore Deals
First, everyone’s talking about the Benadryl/Sudafed deal. This deal will NOT work this week because the coupon in the insert happens to ring the same as a $5 RR for Benadryl or Sudafed — and the register thinks you’re paying with a previous RR so it doesn’t generate another. Skip it…
Schick Hydro Shave gel is on sale for $2.99. Buy it and get $2.99 back in Register Rewards… making it FREE!
Need a cheap razor to go with that shaving gel? Schick Quattro disposable razor 3-packs are on sale for $5.99, with $1 back in RRs. Use the $4 coupon from 3/21 SS, pay $1.99 and get $1 back! Three razors for .99!
Snuggle fabric softener is on sale for $3.99 each. Use the $3 Snuggle coupons from 3/28 RP and pay just .99 a bottle!
Ban antiperspirant is on sale for .99 each with the coupon in the Walgreens flyer. Stack this with the .75 coupon from 3/7 SS and pay just .24!
Forum reader Stealfinder spotted a great deal on Beneful Incredibites dog food. Some Walgreens have single-sized bags on sale for $1 each. There’s a $3 coupon for ANY size Beneful in 3/21 SS. While this coupon will likely beep and -not- give overage as it’s so much higher than the cost of the item, Stealfinder pointed out that buying three bags of Incredibites will cause the coupon not to beep… and take $3 off total, making these FREE…
Sometimes grocery items are cheaper at the drugstores than they are at the grocery store, and that’s the case with these next deals…
Welch’s Grape Jelly (32oz.) is on sale for $1.50 a jar, limit 2. Use the .55 coupon from 1/3 SS2 and pay .95 a jar… a STEAL for this BIG jar of jelly!
The 16oz. jar of Skippy Peanut Butter is also on sale for $1.50. This isn’t quite as good a deal, but it’s not bad… buy 2, use the .75-off-2 from 3/28 RP and pay $2.25 for 2, or about $1.13 each.
Mazola Extra Virgin Olive Oil (17oz) is on sale for $3.49, limit 2. Use the .50 coupon from 3/21 SS and take this home for $2.99 – an excellent price.
Vitamin Water is on sale for $1 a bottle. Use the $1-off-2 from 4/11 SS and take two home for a buck!
If you didn’t get this free at Walgreens in a previous week, Dove shampoo and conditioner is FREE and a moneymaker at CVS this week, limit 1! It’s on sale for $4.49 a bottle. Buy it and get $4.49 back in Extra Care Bucks! Make it a moneymaker with the $1.50 coupon from 3/28 RP… pay $2.99 and get $4.49 back!
Dial Nutriskin body wash is also FREE after coupon and ECB this week! It’s on sale for $5.49, with $4.50 coming right back to you in ECBs. Use this $1 printable, pay $4.49 and get $4.50 back! FREE!
CVS is running a “Spend $25, get $10 in ECBs” deal on selected P&G products (yes, they are everywhere!)
Here are your included products and matchups:
Bounty
– .25 off – 3/7 PG
Charmin
– .25 off – 4/4 PG, 3/7 PG
Puffs
– .25 off 3 – 3/7 PG
________________________________
This deal isn’t quite as hot as other P&G deals we’ve seen, but if you need paper products, this is likely your best scenario:
Buy 1 Bounty 12-roll pack ($12.99)
Buy 1 Charmin 16-roll pack ($9.99)
Buy 3 Puffs tissue (.99 each)
Pre-coupon total: $25.95
Use the three .25 coupons noted above (I know, I know – not the hottest deal..)
Pay $25.20 and get $10 back! You’ll essentially knock all of this down to $15.20. Have we seen better? Absolutely. But if you need it…
Have ECBs to use up or want to treat yourself to a little “bonus?” CVS has their Essence of Beauty Ladies Cozy Robes on sale for $7.99 this week, down from $40 – the last time we saw a good sale on these was right after Christmas. Bargain bath robe, anyone?
CVS Tip: Remember to always scan your CVS card at the price scanner in the store — it prints bonus coupons for you!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
And, also, as always, a huge thanks to the many readers who posted and emailed deals that made it into today’s Deals of the Week! We’re all in this together, and I sincerely appreciate everyone who spots and passes along good deals that we can all enjoy :) Thank you… to YOU!
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically $50-$100 worth per issue! You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

I did my shopping today to take advantage of an expiring store coupon. I have to admit I am happy to see that my assessment of what the offers are this week was right on target. Thank goodness it was a slow week. Jill, thanks for “teaching me to fish”. I am grateful and very appreciative of what you and the rest of this community does. I am still in need of ALL the help I can get. Good week to be lucky!
abigayle21 says
Thanks again for getting the deals up, I was really looking forward to these all day:)
Do you think this was a Catalina glitch that the manu. Q was preventing the Cat Q from printing. Sometimes those happen early on Sunday and then get fixed. I’m considering trying it again tomorrow to see if it was fixed.
stgoebel says
Hey there!
I have heard there is a 12 week cycle to shopping, and this is a slow week. Is this typical?
Also, I’m wondering how to handle my regular week to week shopping. Is it advisable to only use coupons for deals – meaning save them – because you never know what is coming up? Is this why people collect two sets of coupons?
Thanks for your help! This is fun!
laughinggift says
are now $15, as Jill mentioned. When I ordered online last week, they had each additional book for $10. Like Jill said, the Menard’s coupon (15% off 1 item) is great for a big purchase. It might be worth it to buy an additional book if you are looking at more than one big purchase. A $100 purchase pays for one book. If you bought two books, 2 $85 or greater purchases would more than pay for both books, plus you get all those other coupons. This is just one example. Everyone has their favorite place or places (or particular need).
Most coupons expire on November 1, but some don’t expire until the end of December.

I was in Jewel tonight and noticed a tag hanging on a bottle of swiffer wet jet solution-it was an ad for a rebate, spend $20 in swiffer refills, get $10 back. Is it possible to get this rebate, as well as the Meijer rebate? I noticed the rebate form requires the original register receipt, and didn’t know if the Meijer one did as well. If it does, can Meijer print a duplicate receipt?
Also just to add at Strack Van Til, split chicken breasts are .99/lb, and quaker chewy bars are 5/$5, when you use the $3 in-ad coupon for quaker products. I didn’t have any coupons this time, but $1 is still a decent price for me, given my family can easily eat one box a week:)

In the CVS ad there was a sale while supplies last on the wii guitar hero guitar and GAME!!! I thought 29.99 was great pice for either the game or the guitar but you get both!! They have great songs on it too. Might want to check it out.

I am new at this so this may be a dumb question. Can I use some of my ECB’s to pay for the “spend 25 get 10” paper deal at CVS? Will it still print the extra 10 in EBC’s if I also use EBC’s to actually pay for the items? I hope this make sense!

Has anyone tried to do the buy 3 scrubbing bubbles and get a $5 Target gift card with purchase? There was a $5 gift card coupon in the 4/12 SS or RP (sorry, can’t remember which one). I wondered if you could stack that with the Buy any Scrubbing Bubbles and get a free brush starter kit coupon that was in the 4/12 RP? I also found a $1/1 scrubbing bubbles toilet cleaning gel coupon on the Scrubbing Bubbles website.

Hi Jill… so many deals, so many bargains. Thanks for this week’s deals!
I was wondering if you would consider adding a link to comments in your “jump to” bars throughout the weekly deals? Sometimes I’ll finish reading deals for a particular store and want to jump to the comments, but then end up having to scroll either up or down forever to get there. Not sure if there is room or not?
Just a thought.

You need to know if you want to inlcude Goodnights in the $30/$10 deal that the $15.99 bag did not work for me. The “count” is different than on the UPC list which I did not bring with me.
I called Catalina and told them that I did buy the package that was $15.99, and I did have over $30, but he said the sku of my bag was not included.
I bought the 21 count, to get the deal, and it still wasn’t the right one. I have been getting the even smaller bag lately because of the $4 YBs for every Goodnites purchase.
Check the sku list if you want to include them in your deal. My Jewel doesn’t carry the sku that was included (obviously).

I can’t seem to find a $1 Pampers coupon in Jewel’s ad or the O Organics milk coupon in the Dominick’s Super Price coupons (there’s only supposed to be one page of these, right?). Could the coupons be different in my weekly flyer than yours? Sorry, this is the first time I’m trying to use your site, so there’s a bit of a learning curve!

I just got back from Jewel and they had Digorno Single pizzas for 2.49 – a good price normally! But then there was a Blinky that spit out coupons for $1.00 off! So – I just got 12 cheese pizzas – a staple at our busy house – for 1.49 each.
That rocked!

Since the Wag’s Benadryl deal isn’t working, another good use for the $5/2 Benadryl coupon is at Target. I’m getting ready for mosquito season! My Target had the Benadryl itch sticks for $2.44. I actually got the overage, my cashier was leaning heavily on the override button for my whole transaction. Luck of the draw, I guess.

If you like Seventh Generation products (this might have been posted somewhere else) but…they are buy one get one 50% off at Toys R Us. My TRU (chicago) had them for $1.98 and then the second one was $.99. I had $1.00 off Qs so I got two products for $1.00
Laundry $1.98
Laundry $.99
Dishwasher Gel $1.98
Dishwasher Gel $.99
Minus 4 $1.00 off Qs
$2.00 for all 4 products
Not bad deal!
I also had the rebate form (no longer available) but I’ll submit for that and make money!

The e-coupons for store brand items at Dominick’s come off as discounts always — I noticed this for instance on some of the produce deals when they had the baby carrots $.50/1 coupon etc.
Also some of the coupons.com e-coupons will still show as being on on your card after you use them, but will not come off a second time. I have a huggies one on there that I used ages ago but is still showing up, and it definitely came off the first time.
Lastly, speaking of huggies — you can also load a $3.00/1 e-coupon on the Dominick’s coupons.com https://www.dominicks.com/ifl/grocery/Print-Coupons#iframetop so combine that with the super coupon and paper $3.00/1 coupon and you have $1.99 diapers. :)

Somehow I ended up paying ONLY $.06!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s $.01 per box! AMAZING considering it’s name brand and 3 of my boxes were whole grain. SO HAPPY.
(I was joking with friends that I don’t need drugs… I have coupons to give me a high! LOL!)

The coupon states “redeemable ONLY at Wal-Mart” so I guess even so it’s a manufacturer coupon you can’t use it at Target.

I purchased 5 Post Fruity Pebbles, and the Cat is $4. ???

Are Raisin Bran and Pebbles the only Post cereals on sale for $1.49? Where can I find out what cereals are on sale? I didn’t see these in my Jewel flyer; although I also do not get the Trib yet. I’m new to all this.

This morning I went to 2 Wags here in Vegas for the Schick shave gels. The RR’s rolled, so I figured I’d hit, er, go to 2 more after work. They no longer rolled….

Jill, you posted that both Dominicks and Target have single load tides for $1. I’ve been to both stores and can’t find them. Would they be in a special section because they are not with the other Tides.

I got some today in St. Charles, they were $.99.

I went to Target yesterday and they refused to take my $1 tide coupons for the travel size tide. I even showed them their coupon policy that I printed out from your website, but they still refused it!! I was so frustrated!! I did call corporate to complain though and they told me that they are suppose to take them. They also told me they could only take 2 coupons per transaction. Is that right??
